Reviewer's comments
"Here's another of those ambitious efforts released in the early days. While the first part is a standard (oversized) building, the second part takes place in an equally oversized plane! Despite the author's ingenuity in conveying a flying plane, gameplay isn't as lucky as it's just a string of switches and doors (and a few shatterables along the way)... 25 minutes, 3 secrets. 11/20" - Treeble (29-Nov-2020)
"Another brave effort by a very young builder, which almost works but not quite. The locations aren't bad but a bit slapped together and the textures were far too crude and disjointed for my liking. The gameplay is also underwhelming and simple (especially in the second part) with only a couple of items and levers to hunt for plus masses of ninjas and soldiers to take down. The plane setting was a nice concept but a bit roughly done and the flyby was a bit inept and dizzying. Nonetheless, it's clear that this builder has put some effort in here and things can only get better from here on in." - Ryan (01-Jun-2018)
"Two small levels without complications. Pull a switch, pull another switch and pull more switches to open doors, shooting some enemies in between. The architecture is simple, and some textures are stretched in the first level. Enough ammo for the shotgun and uzis, I missed more cameras even when they're not necessary 'cause the triggered doors are often near. Found only one secret. Enjoyable level, but not interesting." - Jose (25-Jan-2018)
"A brave and noble effort from another young builder but (despite the best of intentions) it doesn't really come off. For a start the textures in Level 1 are far too eclectic and often stretched; which kills most of the atmosphere. And the Airplane in Level 2 (though a good try) is far too large and cavernous (with clouds whipping past in opposing directions on either side of the Plane) to be even slightly convincing. But it IS a double level adventure and clearly a lot of effort has gone into it so here's hoping the next offering will be a little smoother." - Orbit Dream (08-Aug-2004)
"It's great that there's been so many new level builders out there lately and I hope to see more from this author in the future. I like plane settings so the second level was my favorite - a HUGE plane with fluffy white clouds whizzing by the windows and lots of room for the passengers. Also quite a few cargo rooms before you reach the cockpit up front. There's a good puzzle with burners near this area and in both levels quite a few doors to open and one thing you have to do is figure out how to open them. There's a short bike ride in level one that's necessary as you ride over some burners otherwise the hardest thing for me was finding the crowbar (that was right in front of me). The most memorable thing has to be Lara's great new outfit and it seemed like her hair may have been a different color." - RaiderGirl (29-Oct-2003)
"A big download also because of the added title flyby which is a modified original with some added water and lighting and a great music file. L'Aereoporto di Londra (London Airport 4/5/5/4 20 min. 2 secrets): I guess Egypt is for later in the series as this starts out in more of a base setting and does not look much like an airport at all with huge and rather bare rooms and very mixed texturing. Lara's outfit is sure 'interesting' though. Find the crowbar kill two SAS and ninjas pick up the Uzi secret near the underwater palm trees some crawling two gems and two short outside areas jump switches and a rather wild flyby. Then a lock to shoot and a short bike ride and you reach the next part. In Aereo (On the Plane 4/5/6/4 15 min. 1 secret): A great and original idea to set Lara in a plane with the clouds passing by outside. And seeing the leg room this must definitely be a first class only plane. Gameplay is poor though with a few switches and levers finding a little Gold Idol and the level ends when you place it. All in all a remarkable start of a level series built by an 11-year old with a lot of potential. Despite the low scores I will gladly be playing the continuation of the series as it becomes available." - Michael (05-Oct-2003)
"As a first is not a bad level. The flybys can use some attention also the emptiness of it all could be addressed. It is a rather fast pace level in a sort of base environment where you have to get the crowbar or else you can't proceed. Some levers to jump getting two gems even ride a bike. In the second level I take it she was in a plane with clouds passing the windows. Here it is again finding levers and standing on a trigger tile avoiding burners. Enemies are few Guards and some ninja's. Placing the last artifact will end the level. There was still one door closed I just couldn't open it. Found all the secrets. 27-09-2003" - Gerty (05-Oct-2003)
"A very straightforward level although I did manage to get stuck but that was because I wasn't paying attention (it was late at night). Find two gems to open doors get on an airplane and find the statue that's it. Enemies are ninja's and SAS and you need the bike to open a door - that was kinda nice. I also liked how the trapdoors opened. Not bad for a first level especially since the author is so young. If he doesn't lose interest in TR we might see good levels from him one day." - Josi (03-Oct-2003)
"Level 1 - Lara starts in a new nice looking catsuit but after the first glimpses you already understand that this is yet another amateurish base level. There's not much memorable about this level but smashing the lock with the motorbike was fun and inventive. This just as well as the 2nd level are a clear case of not making the tutorial level and reading the manual at least not thoroughly but the author shows some creative ideas - and thus has a great potential. Level 2 - more inventive this time - after a wicked dizzy but rather bad fly-by you find yourself in an airplane - the sight beyond the windows is made very well and shows that the author has some very great ideas on his mind but the concept of the level reminds me a lot of the train levels - you get to one end of the airplane get what you need and return back to end the level even if placing the Aztec artifact seemed a bit out of place. Found 2 secrets - one in each level. As said the author has a lot of potential but also a lot to learn yet..." - eTux (01-Oct-2003)
"These levels are a bit short. There would have been much more produced of this but is good as the first level. I hope there will be much better levels made by the author. Both levels take place in a base with huge rooms. The rooms are a bit empty and the beds are enormous too. The enemies are tuaregs and soldiers. You have to find 2 Horseman's Gem and the Ignition Key on both levels. On the 2nd level a closed door left below. There are no difficult puzzles apart from a timed run. But this level is worth a game. I found 3 secrets none of them were well hidden. Probably it was a bit hard to find the Uzi because of the palm tree. I don't know how the Uzi got into the water. :-) Although the added sounds are great." - Obig (01-Oct-2003)
"What a surreal blend of textures - one moment an office environment (complete with underwater palm trees) the next a desert looking outside area with ninjas and a brief motorbike ride all in a section entitled London Airport. Hmmmm this is certainly not a London Airport with which I am familiar. The goal is to find two horsemen's hearts to progress to the second section which is set in an aeroplane a really really big aeroplane. I loved the fluffy white clouds whizzing past the windows. More levers to find and ninjas to shoot. This is an imaginative level from such a young builder and I very much hope we see more from him in future. 29.09.2003" - Jay (01-Oct-2003)
"Almost 2 hours to download and only 30 minutes to play! Michael has written that the author may only be 11 and if so then it is understandable that the levels are of a fairly basic nature in all aspects. The first level is set in a mix of large indoor slightly base like rooms and outdoor squarish rocky areas with an odd placement of two palm trees underwater below a fountain. In this one you collect two gems a crowbar ride a bike up a slope pull a few jump switches that aren't really very high off the ground as well as other switches meet 2 ninjas and 2 SAS and find 2 secrets of which I only found one. The second level was a surprise as it was quite well produced as you find yourself flying in a plane with the clouds whipping by outside the windows. This had the train scenario though with the need to get to the cockpit find a key on the way and then get back to the end of the plane to use it funnily it is an ignition key so thinking would be to use it at the front somewhere and if the plane is already flying then what are we turning on hmmm questions questions. There are a few levers and jump switches again along with one secret to find and some ninjas and SAS to fight nothing difficult. As this is just the start of a series I look forward to seeing what comes next but I just hope the author minimizes the download next time or at least bumps up the playtime to make it worth it and take a little more time with the flybys." - Sash (28-Sep-2003)
"According to the readme file the author is eleven years old so it makes this an admirable effort. The setting is nothing spectacular just some kind of a base with Jean Yves and Lara wearing a black outfit with silver parts including a silver back pack. The player is searching for two gems and the artifact which is an idol to finish the game. The first level has also a motorcycle to go up a slope and some walkthrough windows. The second level is an airplane with clouds going by outside the windows. Lara will be facing ninjas and SAS with the progression depending on the crowbar and switches. I missed a secret in the first level although I am sure it is quite obvious I just didn't bother to search so I found two out of three. I wonder what was it that made the download 30MB as I never saw anything out of the ordinary in the levels. Considering the author's age this is a nice level and should give the rest of us that do not dare to build anything because we think it won't be good enough a lesson. Take a look at it." - Kristina (28-Sep-2003)
"Two short levels. In the first one you find two gems to finish the level in the second level you are feeling you are in a train here you have more puzzles switches but this level is easy to finish and it's taken me 40 minutes." - Yoav (28-Sep-2003)
