Reviewer's comments
"Much better than the Floodtest, but now the level's name is less relevant because the valves would rather activate flipmap effects. What really bothered me was the bug that caused me to fall into a black room with deadly water when I turn the leftmost valve too early, or when I try to get the 5th secret. This is when TR5 test level start to show TR5's notorious bugs." - Charles Kane (06-Feb-2021)
"As in the original, you get to use a valve switch, triggering a waterfall that makes the floor wet; but this time, that’s only one of several outcomes, depending on which of the three switches you use and in which order. Some of the outcomes may disturb younger viewers, but I had a grand old time with the long drop (the water down below may or may not be deadly; if it is, it’s not the water itself that kills you, but moving around in it long enough) and figuring out what to do thereafter; although I’d probably curse any builder, their children, their children’s children, if they pulled the same trick in a proper level." - Mulf (21-Oct-2019)
"There was an improvement over the first Floodtest, now some secrets are hidden and some of the cog transport Lara into unknown black deadly puddles! Overall nothing has changed and this remains quite pointless though. Wolfy Regards." - Wolf7 (06-Mar-2019)
"An enhanced version of the previous Floodtest test level. This time, there are more wheels to turn and also 5 golden secrets to find. What's interesting is: I've played this multiple times and the wheel on the left did something different in my second playthrough." - Nuri (23-May-2018)
"A bit more to do here than in the first Floodtest level, with a very brief valve puzzle, a couple of secrets to pick up and a brief paddle in deadly water. Again, only really for hardcore reviewers." - Ryan (01-Apr-2018)
"Similar to the first floodtest level, but this time with three wheel-switches and more flipmaps so you can get several secret roses. Try to not start using the wheel to your left 'cause I was transported to a black room that I could not get out of. Not worth to play." - Jose (29-Jan-2018)
"In Floodtest 2 we have 3 wheels instead of one. Here you must turn the wheels to deformate the rooms and find golden roses (secrets). At some point I turned a wheel and then teletransported to a black area with deadly water and I didn't know what to do but dying." - alan (18-Nov-2016)
"Test level that I can not recommend to others." - vienna (05-Sep-2016)
"This is a revision of the author's previous bit minus flares, but this time with flipping, teleporting and climbing for five roses happening within five minutes, what indicates the builder's skills were developing quite fast at that period. I don't approve of the pitch-black shaft but I somehow got through it without (too) much pain." - DJ Full (17-Aug-2015)
"A mere flipmap room test, with a little gameplay built around it allowing you to hunt down a few golden roses. This is a test level so not really much to see or do here otherwise, pretty much only for the completionists. 09/14" - Treeble (26-Sep-2014)
"Practically a slightly expanded version of the original 'Floodtest' release, with a few more valve wheels to interact with and secrets taking the place of flares as useless maguffins to pick up. Only really worth checking out of sheer curiosity and nothing more." - Ceamonks890 (11-Jul-2014)
"In comparison to the first flood level this is better, unfortunately this time without finish trigger, but only going on search for roses is still not a nice task in this level. Maybe if the ideas provided here would be a little part of a bigger level this would be good, but as a standalone area, I can't recommend it." - manarch2 (05-Dec-2010)
"This one has actually more going on than it lets on at first. You'll get the most if you embark on the quest for the 5 golden roses, and, apart from the last rose, they are all manageable without extra help. Figuring out what the valve switches do is fun, even if their effects might seem outlandish and random. While it has a hard time standing up even to the more sophisticated TR5 levels, it's a fun little distraction while it lasts." - eTux (26-May-2010)
"Beginning same as the first part. But here are lights and colors. We have to think about the wheels. I liked this level. You have to think and memorize about wheels." - Obig (25-May-2010)
"Three wheels to turn instead of one. I had Lara start turning wheels. Then I had to play the level again using the walkthrough. This level doesn't work unless Lara turns the wheels as the walkthrough directs. If Lara turns the middle wheel first, the ramp never materializes. Also I would never have known what to do in the complete darkness. Interesting only from a technical standpoint." - dmdibl (27-Dec-2009)
"More ambitious than Flood Test 1 , and with more effects. The only interest for the player is trying to find the maximum of secret roses , by finding the right sequences of turning the wheels that trigger flipmaps. Not very fun , as in the last part you are in a pitch black area. I had to look at the walkthrough to know there was no end trigger." - eRIC (18-Dec-2009)
"With better textures, and with more wheels(and also, there are some intresting effects), it's the second version of the floodtest. Found all 5 roses, but I picked up the final one with dozy cheat since I couldn't get up to this black hole. (How could Harry find it?...)" - rtrger (02-Dec-2009)
"It's basically the same level as before, but this time there are more valve wheels to turn and some golden rose secrets to find. These test levels are really just for show and you'd only want to play them for the review count. Those who are looking for a whole day's worth of raiding containing substantial gameplay, mind-boggling puzzles and stunning eye-candy would be best off playing something else." - Selene (25-Oct-2009)
"It's ever so slightly more interesting than the other Flood level;and you get a wondrous deep fall." - Orbit Dream (23-Sep-2009)
"There's definitely more going on than in version one. You have three valves to turn this time, secrets to find, more than one room to explore and some deadly water to navigate. Good potential." - Jay (22-Sep-2009)
"The pimped up version of the first Floodtest with more wheels to turn causing more (rather odd) effects and 5 roses to collect. 3 minutes." - MichaelP (20-Sep-2009)
