Reviewer's comments
"Fascinating concept, but too bad it ended up prematurely. Texturing is good in some places. The Uzi's placing could be considered as a foreshadowing that you'll need every bullet of it to face the upcoming raptors. The digital key slot is kinda weird for an ancient temple, so I suggest that the builder would just build an advanced ancient temple instead, where it's probably build by aliens, to make better sense of it." - Charles Kane (10-Apr-2021)
"As others have stated, you don't really do anywhere as much jumping as you'd hope from such a level title. Not really much to do here, in fact, other than retrieving a key and pulling two levers, killing a few dinos along the way. The textures are rather pretty, but generally the few areas present in this level feel flat and uninspired. 10 minutes. 11/19" - Treeble (10-Nov-2019)
"Simplistic level of no more than five minutes duration in which you will fend off a group of raptors and little else." - Torry (24-Aug-2018)
"This is a good beginning for new level. I gave 3 for enemies, because I liked miniature and green dinosauruses. Levels name could be beter, because there is very little jumpings." - vienna (30-Dec-2016)
"Very little to do in this level, pull a lever, perform a simple jump puzzle, pick up a key and fight some dinosaurs. That's it. Not really anything else to say." - Ryan (20-May-2016)
"The level utilizes one of the most powerful resource sets of the whole TR3, but with two chambers and one corridor it must be one of the least realistic representations of dino world. Some simple storytelling is included with little compsognathi eating a raptor corpse and a deceased commander providing his lost key." - DJ Full (01-Feb-2016)
"A surprisingly short and generally empty level that's apparently meant to take place inside a temple located in the South Pacific, but there aren't necessarily any elements to the level design that help back up the possibility of it being that way. Gameplay meanwhile involves very little jumping and instead simply relies on using a key to open a door, monkey swinging in order to reach/activate a switch and of course, gunning some dinosaurs down to pad out the overall length, before running down a long empty corridor to have the game anticlimactically conclude, while other elements such as texturing, objects and lighting don't fare much better in terms of actual quality. So yeah. I wouldn't really recommend going through this, unless you're a reviewer wanting to clear up their backlog or an obsessive-compulsive player wanting to go through every level on the site." - Ceamonks890 (23-Sep-2014)
"Perhaps a project or an unfinished level? It seems that the author began to build the first rooms and finally decided to abandone and release the "level" as it was. Use a key and a lonely switch is a poor gameplay for a 5 minutes level. Well you can shoot some raptors too, but no more." - Jose (09-Dec-2013)
"I downloaded this level because I thought it would have great jump tasks, as it is called Temple of jumping, but I didn't find any good jump. Very easy, very short. I like TR3 levels, because they are more classic. This level is classic, but it doesn't have anything else. The atmosphere was somehow good, but the lack of lighting ruins that feeling." - Ekrixi (28-Nov-2011)
"A South Pacific level somehow looks different, I think. Few rooms here, not really gameplay, shooting several enemies and finishing after 4 minutes. I don't think that this level is good in any case." - manarch2 (03-Dec-2010)
"Just some minutes. Some rooms, some raptors, and little green dinosaurs. Don't forget in TR3 you can walk trough the spikes wihout damage. It's could be a demo. Maybe it will have sequel." - Obig (30-May-2010)
"Rooms with grey textures and dinos, you only have to test your jumping skills at the begining to collect a key. The level seems to be unfinished, if I look to the ending." - rtrger (05-May-2010)
"A misleading title that falsely suggests a complicated jump sequence. What is here is a reasonable introduction to a level, with uniform lighting, and simple textures, but all we get is the introduction. Lara travels catwalks and monkeyswings, gets Uzis, and uses them on several raptors. Seven or eight minutes at most." - dmdibl (05-Mar-2010)
"I suppose there's not much I can add to what the others have said. As already mentioned - there's not really a whole lot more jumping to do than in any other level out there, and it seems rather arbitrary to devote a temple to a movement that isn't even that prominent here. The compsognathus feeding on the dead raptor is something I don't remember from the original game or any other TR3 custom I've played so far, so it was a neat touch, and if you bother to do it - the final fight before leaving the level is actually relatively challenging. That said, when you do leave the level the ending seems rather abrupt, and there's not much in the way of the looks to convince you to stay longer." - eTux (01-Mar-2010)
"Don't know why this level is called like this , as there is no jump rooms here, an UW lever to find , a few raptors to kill , a bit of monkeyswing and not much else. No work on the lighting." - eRIC (18-Dec-2009)
"I have to agree with Jay here - the compys feeding on those dead raptors was clearly the highlight of this 5 minute level. It does not look too bad actually but there is simply not much to do. You can choose to battle those fierce raptors or just run away from them towards the end." - MichaelP (08-Nov-2009)
"This level can be done under the 10 minutes. I only had to kill one raptor and although there is a jump sequence in here, you can avoid it quite easily. The monkey swing will work if you use it side ways. Getting some keys and flipping a lever or two and that is it. Outrunning the other raptors is easy as well." - Gerty (25-Sep-2009)
"Jumping? Not really. A bit of running, climbing and monkey swinging, plus a careful walk through razor spikes to retrieve the uzi and ammo. Apart from that there are some switches to pull, keys to find and raptors to kill and that's pretty much it. I thought the sight of compys feeding on a dead raptor was a nice touch though." - Jay (23-Sep-2009)
"It's short;it's rather bland;it contains no lighting;very little gameplay;you can run from the last herd of dino's;it ends. Nothing more to say." - Orbit Dream (16-Sep-2009)
"Regarding the title I expected some jumping here, but I was wrong, there is not a single jump to do (apart from one jump into the water for an underwater switch). It's just a couple of rooms with some bridges and ledges to climb up, one key to be found and some dinos to kill, and I still wonder what those poor souls were doing in here." - Jerry (15-Sep-2009)
