Reviewer's comments

"Some time after the release I'm not going to say all the defects I found 'cause I think the other reviewers have made a good job. I think the author could properly alpha test this demo after the release, 'cause any player can notice the numerous bugs to fix. The gameplay is often confused, without camera shots to help, and even when there are some fresh ideas it doesn't mean that the level is still entertaning. At least the author could place some extra weapon to deal with the final shivas. I think there's still a lot of work ahead to release a good level, specially with the architecture, texturizacion, cameras and objects. Good luck!" - Jose (03-Jan-2019)

"Ok this is not it, not for me anyway. It is also (again) a bit sloppy put together. Not that I minded the choice of textures (or objects) but too many were either stretched or squished. Walls were not uniform divided, and in one room a column was properly done and the other wasn’t. I even saw a missing texture. Also you have to get to the end of the world to get the opening key. I also do not like this Lara, because of the running animation and there is of course also the matter of the animation while using the crowbar. Oh well… Using two gems and then still have to get the crowbar while the statue is still spitting fire might give Pedro a chuckle but for me it made no sense. Be aware that collision of some columns might give you some problems while jumping. And oh, you either listen to your testers or they have to do a better job, some things weren’t properly working (again)." - Gerty (08-Nov-2018)

"I feel that the point scores allotted by the previous reviewers are unfairly low. To be sure, this demo falls short of being top quality, but it provides a decent raid and keeps moving forward in a steady, linear fashion. The download is unusually large because it includes many TR4 files that cannot be played, perhaps signifying that the complete game is close to being ready for release. Although there are multiple ammo pickups in the demo, no additional weapons are provided, making it inordinately difficult to deal with the quartet of shivas encountered near the end. Still, it's a slight cut above the average raid and worth the time to play it." - Phil (07-Nov-2018)

"Truly a complete loss of time that is not worth downloading.. A level more than simple and without concrete ideas, if you want to waste your time with something incosistente this level is for you. Maybe the author should focus on other tasks and not the editor, if after some levels is not learned, better to leave it aside." - McRaider (05-Nov-2018)

"Oh boy, what a mess this release is. Besides Pedro questionably including a lot of bad test levels or redundant level editor maps within the download(which can be accessed in-game by renaming the Temple.tr4 file to that of the map you wish to have a look at for whatever reason), its just inconsistent across the board. Gameplay requires a lot of significant logic leaps in order to get anywhere, ambiance can't seem to decide whether it wants to be a nostalgic, light-hearted romp or a dark, fantastical one, several enemies & objects are incredibly out-of-place for the Egyptian setting and lighting/texturing come off very uninspired overall. So in the end, save yourself the inevitable frustration and skip this one." - Ceamonks890 (30-Oct-2018)

"This level unfortunately wasn't able to interest me for a number of reasons. I think it mainly had to do with the gameplay, which relied far too much on running around and searching for the next task, with only few camera hints to guide you, which artificially prolonged the total time to over an hour. It also seemed possible to mess up the flow of the gameplay by using certain objects before you legally had to, and (for me anyway) using two gems didn't turn off the fire guarding the crowbar, which I assumed was what should have happened, but I was able to continue by edging carefully towards the pedestal, reaching over and quickly hopping back. The Shiva statues were also out of place in an environment like this and the rooms, although competently built, were rather bare. I suppose, as a Demo, it's adequate, but I didn't have a very good time with it." - Ryan (25-Oct-2018)

"You really will need to keep your eyes open in this level; some things are very sneakily hidden! Although this is billed as a demo, it appears to be the first section of an intended multi-part game. This part is largely exploration based, with a variety of enemies lurking around corners to trip you up. There are one or two quite fun traps to contend with, but throwing switches and finding artefacts (oddly named in the inventory) is firmly to the fore. I only found one of the three secrets, but that involved Lara sinking into the floor when using the crowbar, which I hope gets fixed in the final version. Good potential, but it could use a few tweaks here and there." - Jay (08-Oct-2018)

"Another level that doesn’t t offer much new or interesting. A slight improvement in comparison to the previous levels form the author. There is a use of light bulbs, but that’s it about the light. The rooms are mostly huge, cubic, monotone, without much imagination and looking very empty or lifeless. The gameplay is also very basic. The end of the world can be easily reached and is actually a part of the regular gameplay. Some basic arranged flyby cameras can be seen that go through walls and objects. Many rooms don’t have matching lights. I did like the final room and battle. Overall, an amateurish and clumsy put together level. Not really recommended." - Gorty (03-Oct-2018)

"It seems to be a trademark of the builder to release levels you can easily finish without doing most of the tasks. This time you just have to find the Shiva sword, place it and a few minutes later the game ends. Not even an overlooked lever here, the rest just seems to be optional. This time, the optional rest of the game is a bit more interesting, with a few more decent platforming tasks, but seriously, the builder destroys any kind of good feelings with his hectically released and seriously not even half-heartedly tested levels. There are also many booby traps that lower the entertainment factor some more. This is why rewardings such games as the last of the builder with top marks is not a good sign to the builder, more like a "keep it up" and the effects are seen in here. The overall looks are okay with a few decent areas, nothing special though and with lots of beginner mistakes (I could name a few more, but it's just the usual ones like misplaced objects/animations/sounds/textures and so on). Shivas as enemies in this environment are of course completely out of place. There's so much stuff out there a builder can learn from, so I suggest to Pedro to learn more from those resources and just not build something because those games will not increase your reputation. Took me 25 minutes to finish." - manarch2 (02-Oct-2018)

"Glad to see your evolution as creator. Beware of the architecture because you can see the end of the map and the invisible walls. Use World and Level FarView to avoid bugs on the horizon. Beware of the triggers and do not mix objects from different cultures on the same level, eg the Sheva statues in Egypt, it does'n make sense. The animation of using the crowbar is missing and some objects, like doors, cross the top floor. Pay attention to these details and continue your work." - Dark Sheep (28-Sep-2018)
