Reviewer's comments
"Well yeah it's a very short demo with a few easy tasks, running through some base, getting keycards, riding a bike, and climbing a huge ladder. Not very exciting. Props for the jungle setting, though." - alan (13-Mar-2023)
"Not much to report in this incredibly brief (8 minutes long) demo and once again, it seems the finished product was just a figment of the builder's imagination. The textures are a bit repetitive, but atmosphere isn't bad, the objects and enemies show a glimpse of thought, but the ridiculously long ladder climb was just unnecessary for a level as short as this. The level ends with a bit of a whimper (in a blind alley) not a moment too soon." - Ryan (02-Jun-2018)
"Of course, as a demo, it's not done, even the areas you're playing; but I think still much to do in this areas: work the architecture and texturization, include some dozens of objects, include some puzzles or interesting tasks, 'cause use cards in odd receptacles is not an entertaining gameplay, include some musics, work the lighting a bit... But after some years, it seems that it was too much work for this builder and finally Colin left this project aside. A pain." - Jose (31-Dec-2017)
"Even by demo standards this is very short so don't expect much from the gameplay, the best bit being an all too short ride on a smart green motorbike. The atmosphere actually isn't at all bad and some of the custom textures are good too, but there's just too little of it to be worth the download." - Jay (12-Sep-2016)
"Despite some decent re-textures of several objects(for the time), what mainly kills this demo for me is its extreme lack of actual substance, with a quick ride on a motorbike serving as the only real positive highlight worth mentioning, with a tediously long ladder climb serving as the alternative opposite. Personally, I really don't think its enough to justify a download, for what ultimately amounts to a mere five minutes of proper gameplay time. And with seemingly no full version of the demo having come to fruition a whole decade later, it just turns out to be a waste of time for any interested raiders, simply allowing the builder to stroke his own ego in front of the community. So in conclusion, you'd be better off looking elsewhere if you desire something more longer and meaningful." - Ceamonks890 (06-Dec-2014)
"There is only little to do in this five minute demo; but I really think the objects make this level worth downloading. The base looked very good with them, although some of them didn't have collision. Enemies and the motorbike are new textured. Only complaint in this short level is too long ladder." - manarch2 (31-Mar-2011)
"Can you believe I actually got stuck in this short gameplay-less Demo and had to start again?! That must be worthy of some sort of award, in my opinion. Nothing else to report. Not bad atmosphere, but all the areas are too big and cause draw-distance problems. Good aircraft Hanger. Appallingly long climb. End (hopefully)." - Orbit Dream (03-Jun-2005)
"The practice of releasing demos and the usefulness of reviewing them are two things I don't really get (although here I am reviewing a demo). What is the author trying to demonstrate here? That the full game holds the promise of ludicrously long ladder climbs? No thanks. It seems he's wanting to show off some custom stuff he's done which means a 9MB+ download for ten minutes of game time. Closing thought: refer back to the first sentence." - Tombaholic (28-Jan-2004)
"This level has potential if some corrections were to be made and puzzles added of course. It's a base in the jungle but poorly build and it's pretty obvious it's not finished. I liked the plane and what looked like an airport with its tower and runaway but everything looks a bit square. Two SAS guards dressed I ngreen a green bike and Lara's pants is green so I guess that's the author's favourite colour. Three key cards used to a button instead of a key hole and that's it. After seven minutes and losing some health from the sentry guns we are done and out. Too bad this was never finished." - Kristina (05-Aug-2003)
"As this is a demo you're through it in no time. That is if you use dozy instead of doing the excruciatingly long climb the traditional way. Three access cards to collect and use a ride with a green motorbike and a sentry gun to rush past. That's it basically. The area with the stealth bomber is so huge that the horizon disappears but the flyby along the waterfalls was quite impressive." - Dimpfelmoser (09-Nov-2002)
"To be honest I'm getting a bit fed up with demos as so far hardly anyone gets as far as a playable level. Why wet our appetite if you don't follow through? Or is it an ego thing? 02-09-2002" - Gerty (03-Sep-2002)
"This demo does seem like it will make a really interesting full length game but for 10 minutes of playing time the almost 10 MB download is just way too much for way too little. Visually this looks great although maybe a little empty but the game play I hate to say was hardly non existent besides running around collecting 3 security cards to open doors which are either dropped by dead camouflage wearing guards or in a shootable object finding one secret and riding a never before seen green motorbike without the sidecar in a straight line practically to the end. As I said though the full version I think will hold some promise at least visually and atmospherically but the creator needs to add some stronger game play and thoughtful puzzles." - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"OK it is a demo and one without gameplay too. Kill a crocodile and a few soldiers collect three key cards to open doors and drive out on a cool motorbike. Done in less than ten minutes unless you take your time to admire many of the custom objects that hold the promise that this could end up being a neat level anytime soon: outfit for Lara and the soldiers the green bike the stealth fighter the lorry some furniture all nice to look at." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"Well as the author said in his 'readme' file this is just a demo so don't expect too much. However it does promise of good things to come but it hardly seems appropriate to offer it for download in this unrefined state. A bit too much ego and maybe not enough 'hard Yakka' methinks. The one redeeming factor in my opinion was the motorcycles minus the sidecar. That was interesting! I hope the finished product delivers the goods!" - Torry (21-Jun-2002)
"Well this short demo was nice. Though there were some bugs like the disappearing horizon I liked to see the work of the creator in the mini offices. Everything is textured different here the SAS are camouflaged Lara has ugly shorts the motorbike was now green with the sidecar texturized with transparent... I just hope the full level doesn't have giant climbings like this had. After all I don't think it's worth a download :(" - Treeble (21-Jun-2002)
"This is only a demo but it's got some interesting features that tell me that the upcoming level could be a good one. The nice clean textures used throughout were well suited to the level one area has a nicely used waterfall effect the outfit Lara was wearing looked to be especially made for this and fit right in with the environment but my favorite part was the motorcycle. This was a nice bike and I spent some time riding it wherever I could get it. Most of the area was surrounded by walls too steep to climb but the bike had no problem. I found one secret in my search and a few pickups that were unnecessary for the most part. Since this is only a demo there were very few enemies and no puzzles - just finding the three keys that are needed to open up the doors to the next area - but it shows some promise." - RaiderGirl (21-Jun-2002)
"Well what can I say? This level/demo is not good (I'm being polite here!). The only part of the level that even remotely resembled a tomb would be if someone died of boredom whilst playing it! Please give this one a miss." - Doug E (21-Jun-2002)
