The level starts with Lara facing a pyramid, now head towards southwest corner of the open area you are in and jump up to the sand hill, then make your way east along the hill til you come to an opening to your right. Go in the passage, then when you come to a crawlspace where you can go left or right, go right. Crawl til you can stand and follow the passage til you come to another crawlspace. Go through the crawlspace til you can stand and follow this passage til you find the hand of orion. Now head back to the pyramid, taking out the ninja along the way and through the opening and into the passage to the next room.

When you get to the next room, light a flare, then run past the mummy into the next passage. A short distance down this passage you will come to a point where you can either continue down this passage or jump/grab/pullup to another passage. Go up to the next passage, when you get to the next room avoid the two mummies and go to the northeast corner of the room, use the hand of orion to open the closed gate there. Go through the open gate and into the passage beyond, when you come to a ladder climb it to the next passage.

At the top when you reach the next passage, take care of the two scorpions and move on. Follow this passage, taking out another ninja, til you come to a ladder at the end of this passage. Climb the ladder to the next passage.

Once you are in the next passage eliminate the two scorpions and continue on down this passage where you will eventually be back outside on a walkway with a walkway above you with two ropes hanging down between this pyramid and another one. You can see in the distance at the other pyramid that a ninja is patrolling the opening you have to get to, so take him out from here, then use the ropes to get to the other pyramid. Once at the other pyramid go through the opening and slide/slide down the sloping passage to the next room.

This room is the upper half of a room with a pool. Now go along this upper part and take out the ninja, then the two ninjas below. Once they are all gone, drop down to the lower part of this room and go to the huge opening in the southeast corner of the room. Now climb the blocks to the next room. Once you have made it to the top of the blocks head into this cavern, taking out any ninjas along the way. There is an underground lake to your right, jump into it and swim to the area with the climbable wall, climb the wall and use the floor lever up there to open some big doors somewhere.

Now head back down to the lake, jump in and swim south til you can surface and exit the water.

Take out the three ninjas that are on the steps, then head up to the open doors you opened with the floor lever. In the room beyond the big doors take out the two ninjas, then move the statue on your right over next to the one on the left, then climb the ladder on the northeast wall. At the top of the ladder go through the open gate.

Follow this new passage, listen for the sound of a gate opening up, then go through the open gate into the next room. The gate closes behind you as you enter the next room, head for the pool, then turn and face the ramp and take out the ninja who is on his way down. Now head up the ramp to the wooden deck above you, shoot all four vases and then head back down the ramp to the pool.

Dive in, swim down, take note of the other three closed gates and go through the open gate. Once through the gate turn left and follow the underwater passage til you can surface and exit the water in the next room. In this room is a floor lever, use it, then head back up to the wooden deck and through the open gate there. {Note: keep track of each gate you open, both in the water and on the deck, or you will get confused}. In this new room you see a pedestal in the distance withy something sitting on it (use the binoculars and you will see that it is part of a cartouche). Now once you step on the beetle tiles they will burst into flames, so make your way across them to the ledge on the other side of this room (if you do catch fire, just jump in the water to put it out and head over to the stairs and start over).

Once you have made it to the other side and the cartouche peice is in Lara's possession, head back to the pool on the first floor and through the next open gate. Follow the underwater passage til you can surface and exit the water, then use the floor lever in this new room. Now head back up to the wooden deck and go through the next open gate there. Once through the gate and in the next room head north, then east and then go into the crawlspace in the southeast corner. When you are able to stand follow the passage til you come to a deep pit masked by darkness, then turn to your left and jump/grab the crevice and shimmy right to the other side.

On the other side drop, turn around and go through the opening into the next passage. Follow this passage til you come to another deep pit, then jump to the left or right of the pit onto a safe ledge, then over to the other side of the pit. You are now facing a darken passage, turn around and backflip into the passage, then run forwards and left to avoid the spiked ball rolling down the sloping passage. Once the spiked ball has rolled down into the pit go up the passage to the floor lever and use it.

Now head back to the last room you entered from the wooden deck. Over on the north wall are blocks you can climb. Climb them and go over to the other side of the sand hills, then head to your left and go through the opening there. You are now in a room with a pool of liquid that is burning, sloping ledges line the pool on either side, so use the ledges to get to the other side. Once you are on the other side head through on the big opening on the south wall into the next room. In this room is a huge hole in the floor, so run/jump/grab/pullup to the other side of the hole and continue on through this room.

In the next part of this room there is a crawlspace to your left, go through and use the floor lever, then head back out the crawlspace and up the sand dunes to the now open gate there. From the open gate jump/grab/pullup to the block across from you. Now jump slightly to your right then slide/jump/jump/grab/pullup/slide/slide/jump/grab/pullup/slide/jump/slide/slide/jump/slide/jump/jump/jump/jump to the other side of the room on a safe ledge. Now follow the ledge to the opening on the north wall and get the next piece of the cartouche, then continue on through the passage and drop into the water at the opening in the floor.

When you surface you find you are back near the steps leading up to the big doors you opened earlier, so exit the water and head up the steps back to the room beyond the opend doors. Once through the doors head to your right and use the ba cartouche to open the gate behind you, go through the open gate and get the eye piece off the pedestal. Now exit this room and head back up the ladder to the room with the ramp and pool in it. As you near the room watch a cut scene of another underwater gate opening up, so once you are in the room dive into the pool and through the next open gate.

Next take your second right, follow this underwater passage til you can surface, exit the water and use the floor lever. Now head back up to the wooden deck and through the next open gate there. Once through the gate follow the passage til you come to a water hole. Jump in and head left through the underwater passage. (Now this next part is tricky, in the underwater passage you have to avoid the currents that will sweep you back to the start of this underwater labryinth, so stick as close as you can to the left side of the passage.) So, here is what you do: swim left in the underwater passage, then take the second right, about half way down this part of the passage let the current take you, but swim past the next right, once you have made it past the right opening, continue on til you can surface, exit and use the floor lever, the current is off now, so get back in the water. Swim back the way you came til you are back where the current first took you, turn right. Swim right til you can surface and exit the water. Head down this passage to the next room and get the cartouche piece, now head back to the pool and the last open gate.

Swim through the open gate and when you come to a point where there are two lefts you can take, take the first one. Follow this passage til you can surface, exit the water and use the floor lever.

Now head back up to the wooden deck and the last open gate there. As you go through the last gate on the wooden deck, avoid the pit just through the gate. So, jump over it to the sloping passage, then head down the passage. When you reach the darkend corner where you have to turn left (save your game), run as fast as you can and duck into the alcove to your left to avoid the spiked ball that is following you. Next go where the spiked ball went and turn left, go to the next sloping passage. Now run down this passage turn right to the next sloping passage (this one going up). Now sprint up this passage, ducking into the alcove on the right to avoid the spiked ball rolling at Lara. When the ball has passed, continue up the passage. Turn left at the top and go to the next sloping passage (going up). Head up this passage, watch the spiked ball roll down the passage and into the pit about halfway up, jump the pit and continue on to the next room.

In the next room get the cartouche piece off the pedestal. Now head back to the wooden deck, but there are still spiked balls in the passages waiting to be released, so be careful. When you get back to the wooden deck head to the open gate in front of you, climb the blocks. Then just as you are about to get to the opening, turn right. Now head to the opening you see before you, go into the passage and slide down the sloping section of the passage to the next room.

In the next room there is a huge hole in the floor, to your right several scorpions are on their way to attack Lara, so deal with them then head over to the area they were coming from. Once you are over on this side of the room there is another hole in the floor above the underground lake. dive in, swim south, surface and exit in front of the steps. Once you are out of the water head up the steps, then through the doors (take care of the ninjas that attack while you are here), turn left, use the cartouche to open the gate over there, go in and get the hand of sirius. Exit this room and head back outside to the steps. Now head over to your left and jump/grab/pullup to the block, then jump/grab/shimmy to the right, drop, turn around run/jump to the next block, then pull up onto the wooden bridge. Head to your right and use the hand of sirius to open the closed gate there. Go in and get the second eye piece off the pedestal. Now head back to the room with the wooden deck and go through the gate you went through to get back to this area, take out the ninjas along the way.

Once through the gate and over the blocks, head to your left, then to your right. There is an opening there, so head there and go through the opening. Follow the passage to the next room. In this room head over to the south wall where the two moveable statues are. Move the statue on your right over next to the one on the left and open the gate on the north wall. Go into the passage, use the floor lever, then head over to the open gate near the moveable statue on the left, shoot the ninja along the way, then go into the room. Use the floor lever, exit the room, turn right and head to the next open gate.

Once through the gate follow the passage to the next room, shoot the vase on your right, make a note of the opening to your left high on the wall, then head back to the main room and over to the newly opened gate next to where you entered this area by. Go in, use the floor lever and watch the flyby. When the flyby is done, head back to the room where you shot the vase, taking the ninja out along the way. Once you are back in the room, run/jump/grab/pullup to the block on your right. Now go from block to block til you reach the opening you saw earlier. Once you are at the opening, use the monkeyswing, when you reach the end of the monkeyswing, drop/grab the block, then shimmy to your left around the corner, pull up to the room above.

Now head through the opening into the next part of this room, take out the ninja and go up the steps. Go into the next room and use the eye of horus to open the huge door. Go through the open door into the next room and get the hand of orion off the pedestal, now exit this room, go down the stairs, turn left and go to the sloping passage. Get rid of the scorpions that cross your path along the way, slide down the sloping passage to the water below.

Now swim to the south and exit the water near the steps again, taking out the ninjas waiting there. Now leave the area of the underground lake and go back to the room with the upper area and the pool. On the west wall in a receptacle for the hand of orion, so go there and place the hand in it. Now dive into the pool and go through the open gate into the underwater passage. Swim through the passage and the level ends.
