Slide down
a slope and jump up to grab a climbable wall. Climb up and shimmy to the left
to drop into a tunnel. Go to the end and use the floor lever. Go back to the
slope and slide down backwards. Grab at the end, pull up, back flip and roll to
catch the open door ledge. Pull up and get a flyby of the large room. Shoot the
vase in the south-west corner for a large medipack.
The other three vases are empty. Go to the north-east corner and pull up into a
tunnel in the east wall. The tunnel is hidden by green leaves. Go to the end
and fall into a hole. Go north and face a spike trap. Go to the edge and hop
back. Take a running jump when the spikes are down. Then take a stand jump when
you land and you should make it over the spikes. Use the floor lever and get a
cut scene of a door opening. Use the same procedure to get back over the
spikes. Exit back to the big room.
The east doors are open. Go to the end to a hole in
the south wall and slide down a pole. Run down the tunnel, and get a flyby of a
room with a deadly floor. Go to the south end of the ledge. Stand jump to grab
the edge of the first slope. Pull up, slide, jump, and roll to land on the
second slope and slide down backwards. Pull up, back flip, roll, and grab the
next slope. Shimmy to the left as far as possible. Pull up, back flip, roll,
and use a right curve and you should land on the corner of the block to the
north. This is hard because if you do not release the keys, you run off the
ledge onto the deadly floor. Grab the ledge and shimmy to the right. At the
end, pull up and back flip only. You should clear the slope behind and slide
down backwards. Grab the edge, pull up, back flip, and roll to grab a ladder.
Climb up onto the east ledge. Pick up Cartouche Piece
1 from the pedestal and get a cut scene of a door opening. Go south to
the end of the ledge and climb down a ladder. Enter a tunnel for secret #1, Uzi ammo,
and small medipack. Climb back up to the ledge.
Go to north corner and jump the three slopes to grab the ladder at the west
wall. Pull up and go back through the tunnel. Climb the pole and exit back to
the big room.
You are ambushed by five
ninjas. When they are gone, enter the north doors. Go to the end and go
the tunnel in the west corner. Go down the stairs and enter a small room. Go to
the north-east alcove for Uzi ammo. Give
yourself full health and hop into the middle north alcove. You catch fire as
you pick up Cartouche Piece 2. Hop back and
roll in the water to put out the fire. Exit back to the big room.
Enter the west door and go to the end. Go down the
stairs in the south corner. Continue and get a flyby of the room ahead and the
many spike traps. Go to the opening and look north. You have to angle a jump
from the opening to the colorful column in the north corner. You grab a crevice
and shimmy to the left to pull up into an alcove. From there, jump to the
central structure and climb down a ladder to the floor. The author's notes
states that this is a hard jump. It was easy compared to the spike jumps. Go to
the doorway and see blocks with spikes and a closed gate. I stood just before
the open doorway. Then side flip to the right and stand jump forward to grab
the edge of the second block with spikes. Pull up and run and jump to a safe
block. I lost health but survived. For the next block, run and jump at an angle
to the spike block. Then run while turning and jump to the block at the north
wall. Then it is an easy jump to the west block and a tunnel. Grab the pole and
slide down. Turn so you face south. You have to adjust your height so that you
can back flip and roll to land on the spike block when the spikes are down.
Then stand jump north to a safe block. You get a cut scene of the gate opening.
Two stand jumps to grab the pole and climb back up. Do the run, jump, turn and
jump to a safe block. The next is very difficult. Stand jump to the first block
and stand jump to grab the edge of the second spike block. When the spikes pop
up, pull up and side flip to a safe block. After many tries it worked with a
large health loss. I would think that it should be possible to jump from the
tunnel exit with a left curve and grab the block at the structure exit before
the open gate. I came close but I never actually made it that way.
Jump west into the tunnel and the gate closes
behind you. This is a maze and here is an attached map.
The arrows show the entrance at the bottom and exit
at the left. The "F1" to "F5" are the five floor levers
that must be used to open the gate "G". Each time you use a floor
lever you get a cut scene of the gate. After the last floor lever, you see the
gate open. The other items are "Uz" for Uzi's,
"Ua" for Uzi ammo, and "Sc"
for the secret #2 and
a small medipack.
For the secret you have to grab the ledge and shimmy to the left over
the deadly floor. The red squares are deadly fire pits that must be jumped
over. They are usually around a corner and are hard to see in the dim tunnels.
Go to the gate and enter the tunnel and the gate closes behind you.
Climb the pole and back flip at the top into a
short tunnel. Go south and face a large deep pit. Go west to the statue and
notice a blue square on the north wall beside it. Turn south and run, jump, and
grab an invisible ledge where the blue squares would meet. Turn east and
slightly south. Run, jump, and grab an invisible ledge where the red squares
would meet. Stand jump to the south-east onto an invisible ledge where the
yellow squares would meet. Turn south and slightly west to run, jump, and land
on invisible ledge where the green squares would meet. Then stand jump south to
the ledge. You can read the author's notes for a better explanation of this
procedure.
Enter the tunnel in the south wall. Follow the
tunnel and shoot the vases in the alcoves. One vase hides a small medipack. Another vase hides a receptacle. Make
the Ba Cartouche and use it to open the gate to the east. Enter the gate and
get a flyby of a large hall with a deadly floor. Hop into the three alcoves in
the north and south wall with the fancy tiles. This raises three columns in the
deadly floor. Jump the columns to get to the east side. Pick up the Eye Piece and get a cut scene of a gate opening. On
the east ledge, two ninjas emerge from the gate
but you can shoot them while they are jumping the columns towards you.
Jump west to the first column. Then turn north and
jump to grab the column at the wall. Climb up and enter the tunnel behind the
statue. You get secret #3 and a large medipack. Climb down the column to the second
wall tile over the slope. Back flip onto the column in the deadly floor. Jump
the other two columns and go north to enter the open gate. Follow the tunnel
and go up some stairs and kill a ninja. Jump
over the pit and turn north. Side flip to the slope and jump forward to grab
the crevice. Shimmy to the right and around the corner to pull up. Go east and
kill the ninja on the other side of the pit.
There is a lower block in the pit that you can use
to jump and grab the lower ledge on the opposite side. Follow the corridor and
jump south to grab a slope. Pull up, slide and jump to a ledge. You are in
front of a closed gate. Turn east and jump the pit. Follow a tunnel to a small
room. Pick up Uzi ammo and use the floor lever.
Go back to the open gate and kill a ninja. Enter
the south tunnel and drop to a ledge. You have to run and jump onto a column
and turn left to jump and grab a crevice. Of course, the column has spikes on
it to make the jump harder. I found it easier to stand jump and grab the column
with spikes and shimmy to the left corner. When the spikes go up, pull up, turn
and jump to grab the crevice. You lose about half your health. Shimmy to the
right and around the corner to pull up.
Turn south and face slopes and spikes. Stand jump
to grab the first slope. Pull up and immediately stand jump to the grab the
next slope. Time a pull up, slide, jump, run and jump over the spike column to
grab a crevice on the south wall. Shimmy to the left to another slope. Again,
time a pull up, slide, jump to the spike column, and stand jump to a safe
ledge. Enter the tunnel in the south wall. Follow it and kill a ninja. Drop to a lower ledge and face another trap.
Stand jump to grab the slope. Time a pull up, slide, jump, stand jump over the
spike column to grab another slope. Pull up, slide, jump, and grab a crevice.
Shimmy to the left and go around the column. Continue to shimmy to the left as
far as possible. Pull up, back flip, roll and grab a crevice on the opposite
wall. Shimmy to the left and pull up into a tunnel. Run south up the stairs
towards the exit and the level ends.
