When you
start the new game and the game is loading, keep the ALT and right arrow keys
depressed. When the game starts, you will side jump to the right to avoid a
spike ball on your head. Slide down a slope and jump to grab a platform. Pull
up and stand there and do not go forward. Six spike balls will drop in front of
you. You also have to kill two ninjas before
they push you off the platform. Go to the south wall to get to the other side
of the spike balls. Jump the gap to the west for the entrance the next room.
Look to the ceiling to see tiles with a light fixture texture. Those tiles
denote deadly fire traps. Walk on the floor only under the plain ceiling tiles.
Go south and turn left to enter an alcove for secret #1 and Uzi's.
Follow the safe ceiling tiles to get into the doorway in the north-west corner.
You enter a blue-lit room. Go south into the first trench and pick up a large medipack. Go west and pick up a large medipack in the second trench. There is also a small medipack to the east in the same trench. Enter
the doorway at the top of the steps. Slide down the slopes and jump west onto a
ledge as a spike ball falls behind you. The camera view changes to make things
miserable. Go south and jump over the gap. Safety drop to the floor. Light a
flare and you can find a large medipack. Then
go west and turn to the north and drop into the red-lit channel that the spike
ball rolled through.
Go west and kill three
ninjas. Enter the room and shoot the vase in the south-east corner to
open the gate. Enter the door and go up the stairs. Kill six scorpions and light a flare. Follow the plain safe
tiles on the floor. The blue tiles are fire traps. Suffer another annoying
camera view and exit the room to the north. Shoot the vase for a small medipack.
Ignore the blue pad on the floor for now. Dive into
the water and swim until you see a closed gate. Swim east to pick up a large medipack and the gate opens. Swim through the
gate and look up to the ceiling. You can see a vertical shaft. Swim up there
and pull up into a tunnel for flares. Dive into
the water and swim to the west. You will trigger three spike balls and
eventually find a closed timed gate. There is an air hole just above the last
spike ball to get air for the return swim. Swim back to the room with the blue
pad. Approach the pad from the south side and face north. Step on the pad to open the timed underwater
gate. Side jump into the water and swim north. Follow the underwater tunnel
into the open gate. Enter and swim to the west to pull up into a room.
You find three floor levers. Use the middle floor
lever to open the south door. The other two floor levers release spike balls.
Just enter the room and kill a ninja. Look at
the ceiling again and follow the safe tiles to the south-east doorway. Tiles
that look green are safe. Tile that look blue are deadly. The small medipack is
on a fire trap, so just ignore it. Go east up the ramp and jump into a side
hole to avoid a rolling spike ball. Continue east up the ramp and enter another
room. The plain ceiling tiles denote safe places. The blue ceiling tiles denote
deadly fire traps. Move the statue from its current location into the
south-west corner. You can only move on the safe tiles, of course. Shoot the
vases as necessary as you move the statue. When the statue is in the corner,
the door in the south wall opens.
Enter the door and jump to either side ledge to
trigger a spike ball in the middle. There is still another spike ball above the
slope, of course. Slide down the slope and jump over a pit for the spike ball.
You land in a room and kill four ninjas. Use the
floor lever to open the south gate. Go through the gate to an outside area. Run
towards the jeep, turn, and shoot four ninjas behind you by
the gate. Go behind the blocks in the south-east corner and use the
floor lever. Return to the jeep area and look for an opening in the east wall.
Pull up into the opening and pick up the grenade gun.
Exit this tunnel and go to the rock structure of sloped blocks in the middle of
the area. Approach it from the south side and pull up onto the structure. Slide
down into a hole and pick up a large medipack.
Stand jump to the south-west to get out of the hole. Then go south again and pull up into an opening in the south
wall.
Follow the tunnel to a room with five switches. Use
the north-west floor lever to open the gate. The other floor levers will
release spike balls on your head. Enter the next room and go to the north-west
corner. Run up the ramp and jump to a side opening to avoid a spike ball. Climb
the ladder at the west wall. At one tile from the top, back flip, roll, and
grab another ladder to climb. At one tile from the top, back flip into a
tunnel. Go to the end of the tunnel and use a rope to jump over a deadly pit.
Run to the end of the next tunnel and kill three ninjas.
Pick up a small medipack and monkey swing over
another deadly pit. Start with full health, as two
ninjas will shoot you in the back as you are crossing the pit.
Slide down the north slope. Jump over a pit to
avoid a spike ball rolling down behind you. Land in a room and kill four ninjas. Go north and the gate opens as you
approach. Enter the tunnel and the level ends.
