Quick Jump to:
Begin by sliding down in to certain death.
Look towards the right of the ramp ceiling to see a hole with greenery.
Jump over in that direction (to the right) then jump up to grab the
greenery, climb around the corner to the right and pull up in to a short
passage. Flick the lever at the end
of the passage to put the flames out at the base of the ramp.
Climb back down the ramp and continue your slide to the bottom.
Don’t flick the lever on the right of the room as it’s a trap (notice
the skull pattern underneath it). Another
lever opens that door and it’s on the wall at the base of the ramp.
Position Lara on the left side of the ramp with her back to it (so
she’s facing the room), back-jump on to the ramp, let her slide a bit then
jump forward to grab the jump-switch to open the door.
Head through the door, drop down in to a passage and
follow it past a closed gate.
1st
chamber with short passages
At the junction, head straight ahead to collect some Flares.
Go back to the junction to enter a
chamber with short passages. Go
right and collect the Uzi Clips
in the right passage, head in to the passage beside that to collect a Small
Medipack and flick a jumpswitch to open a door.
Continue in to the chamber and head over to the light of the flame
(ignore the passage on the right). As
you go through the doorway the gate closes behind you and you find yourself in
an identical chamber at the first.
2nd
chamber with short passages
Go to the end of the passage and collect
the Shotgun
from the skeleton. Now enter the 2nd
chamber. Go in to the right
passage for the Shotgun Shells, then head right in to the passage beside it and flick the switch to
open the closed gate you past before you entered the first chamber.
Go in to the passage opposite and flick the jumpswitch to open the door
back to the first chamber. Now head
around to your left, through the open gate and in to the first chamber to make
your way back to the now-opened gate and proceed in to the jungle.
Lara will look towards a closed door to her
right (the other 5 “doors” are fake”.
But first, you’re immediately attacked by 4 compies so draw guns and shoot them.
Face the entrance in to this area (so the door is to Lara’s left) and
jump up to the ledge above using the higher ground to reach it.
You may have to manoeuvre Lara around on the higher part of the land
until she grabs the ledge. Pick up
the Small
Medipack then turn to shoot the totem which is over
the closed door below (the one that’s turned slightly whereas the others are
facing forward), this opens the door below. But first head over to the NW corner for the Flares. Now
drop down the hole and enter the door to collect SECRET 1.
Head down in to the misty valley and shoot the lynx which attacks. Collect the Flares from the grass in the niche at the end of the valley.
Then head around to the SW corner for Uzi Clips.
Go over to the N side and go through the white greenery behind the bush.
Follow the path to arrive at a temple to be attacked by 2 boars. Kill the boars and
collect the Shotgun Shells from the NE corner and the Uzi
Clips from the SE corner.
Notice the 2 key locks on the temple pillars required to open the closed
gates. Head through the opening in
the W side and shoot the 2 crocs which attack. Look up to spot 3 ropes and on the N end is a lever on
a ledge. The trapdoor to the ledge
above the ladder to access the ropes is closed so head in to the next area in
the NW corner. Kill the 2 lynxes.
The 1st Temple Mask
You need two Temple Masks so head through
either opening on the W wall in to the final area. Kill the 2 boars.
Head over to the S corner of the W side and go behind the pillar, when
the camera changes to birds-eye view, continue W in to a hidden niche.
Collect the Uzis from the skeleton.
Head over to the block on the left side of
the passage on the SE corner (that takes you to the previous area).
Face N and run-jump to the pillar and pull up.
(Run-jump from the left (W) side of the plant as it can hinder Lara).
Run-jump and grab the pillar in the W (jumping over the palm tree) then
run-jump and grab the next pillar in the S.
Run-jump and grab the pillar in the SE corner (to the right of the SE
passage). Face N and run-jump to
the ledge in this direction with the fern.
Turn W to face the rope which has appeared and swing to the pillar in the
W under the monkey swing. Monkey
swing to the S and shoot the statue to reveal the first 1st Temple Mask.
Make your way to the ground.
The 2nd Temple Mask
Go to the N side of this area and around to
the E side of the small pillar structure in the middle with the shimmy ledge.
Locate the grey large disc at the doorway and jump up to grab it, as
it’s climbable. Climb to the
shimmy ledge then shimmy around the right (let go then immediately grab so
Lara’s legs are dangling) to the other side until you can pull up.
Collect the Small Medipack in the bush then turn to face W and jump forward to grab the pillar in
front of you and pull up. Turn
back to face the pillar structure again and jump forward to grab the higher
shimmy ledge. This time, shimmy
around to the left until you can pull up on the other side.
Face the pillar opposite with the plant and jump to it.
Turn to face the ledge in the NW direction which you can see around the
corner of the central pillar structure (but obscured by the large palm tree) –
spot the switch. Run-jump and grab on an angle turning right to grab the front
of the ledge – pull up and flick the switch.
The trapdoor in the water hole drops (but don’t make your way there
just yet), so hop down to the lower ledge on the W side, then turn to face the
central structure and grab the shimmy ledge below. Shimmy right again until you can pull up and continue your
way back to the pillar with the plant. But
this time, turn to the face the pillar in the SW (under the monkey swing) and
run-jump and grab it approaching from the right. Pull up and shoot the 2
bats which attack. Follow the
monkey swing around to the right and shoot the statue for the 2nd Temple Mask.
Make your way to the ground and head over to the waterhole, dive in to
collect SECRET
2. Now
head back to the previous area. Before
you place the temple masks, jump up on to the block and shoot the statue to
reveal a switch, flick the switch to open one of the door’s between the blocks
where the temple masks are to be placed – do the same for the other side. Then place each temple mask to drop the trapdoors nearby.
Head down to the passages the trapdoors revealed and flick each switch to
raise the pillars near each movable block on grassy ledges on the N and S sides
of the area Head over to the N side and make your way to the block
on the grassy ledge. Move the block
on to the raised pillar, head back down to the ground and through the trapdoor
to lower the pillar (and the block) to the ground. Push the block in to the left
side of the opening between where you placed the masks to get a cutscene of the
trapdoor above the ladder in the 2nd area. Do the same to the other side to complete the circular Mayan
picture releasing the trapdoor in the 2nd area.
But before you head over there, time to get secret 3: hop on to either
block with the temple mask and face the palm tree between them.
Look up and spot the climbable pole, run-jump and grab the pole, position
Lara so her back is to the green pillar behind and back-jump on to it.
Pick up the Flares,
now run-jump to the ledge opposite and collect SECRET
3.
Now head back to the previous area, climb
the ladder and use the 3 ropes to swing to the ledge with the lever.
Flick the lever to lower a block in the water underneath the ledge with
the lever. Hop in the water and
swim through the gap and around to the right, you now have piranhas
in hot pursuit so continue on through the narrow gap to the end of the passage
collecting Small Medipack, Shotgun Shells and Uzi Clips
from the 3 niches on the right on the way (or you could go back for them when
the piranhas disappear). Climb up
and slide in to the small room you saw through the closed gate. Collect the Small Medipack near the skeleton on the right then take the Temple Key from the pedestal.
Go back to the first area and use the key on the lock in the NE corner
pillar to open the gate on the N wall. As
soon as you enter the gate, turn around to face outside and look up to spot the
hang switch on the back of the gate. Jump
up to flick it to turn off a nasty spike trap guarding the 2nd Temple
Key. Head inside, take the Large
Medipack from the left then take the 2nd Temple Key.
Use the 2nd key in the other pillar to open the gate in the E
wall. Head inside and follow the
passage until you come to a movable block with a Mayan face in the wall.
Push it to reveal a switch and use the switch to open the gate.
Continue along the passage to head outside and above the 1st
area. Take the Flares
from the right. Follow the grassy
ledge on your left all the way around to the NW corner.
Flick the switch and sprint back along the ledge, through the passage in
the SW corner and in to the door on the left before it closes.
You’re back overlooking the misty valley, flick the lever on your right
for the door to open below. Follow
the ledge to the other side to collect some Uzi Clips
near the big palm, then drop down to the ground and go through into the new
area.
Just before the deer statue on the right is
a hidden block, continue in to the area and shoot the 2 birds then climb up to the ledge above using the
higher ground on the E side. Shoot
the mask statue on the east side of the top of the temple to move the block near
the deer statue revealing a button. Hop
back down to the ground and push the button to open the golden gate on the W
side and head in there. Shoot the 4 compies,
collect the Small Medipack and the Shotgun Shells. Go to the other side of
this area and note the ball which needs to be released. The switch to release it is on the left of it.
Stand on the slope and turn to face the pillar to the N, stand-jump to
grab it and shimmy around behind the statue to pull up.
Run-jump to the next pillar and the next making your way around the wall
to the other side (you may need to shimmy around the statues to the other side
of them if they get in the way). When
you arrive at the last pillar, the gate on either side of the boulder will open,
so run-jump to the switch and flick it to release the boulder.
When it’s rolled in to the hole you’ll receive a cutscene of a
passage. Jump over the slope the
boulder was on to collect the Flares. Head back to the previous
area to find the gate to the S has now opened and head in. Follow the passage around to the left, then turn left
again and look up. There is a hole
with a ladder above so climb up and jump over to the roof of an area with a pit.
Flick the lever to turn on the flame of one of the deer statues below and
jump back to the greenery passage and climb back down the ladder to continue
your way (you can’t go further on this area as the greenery creates an
invisible wall so you must find another way to get over there).
Follow the passage until you come to a light blue plant on your left.
Pick up the torch
at its base. Head over to the deer
statue and light the torch with its flame.
Now light the two torches on the S wall to trigger the spike trap on the
block (clearly indicated by the skeleton).
Use the block to access the ledge above. Flick the lever and a cutscene will show a golden gate
opening in the pit below. But
first, collect the Small Medipack from the NW corner and the Uzi Clips from the NE corner before dropping down to
the ground. Drop in to the
pit, crouch down at the crawlspace and shoot the grill to flood the pit.
Swim down and through the crawlspace and follow the passage.
Keep to the ceiling to avoid the spike traps at much as possible.
At the intersection, turn right then pull the lever in the niche on your
left. Continue on and around to the
right, collect the Large Medipack (and if you have time, flick the underwater ceiling lever to stop the
spikes but you’re probably low on air so best to just keep going and time your
swim through them), finally swim through the doorway and surface at The Sun
Temple.
Secrets: 3
Follow the watery path and emerge in to a small area
with 2 lynxes.
Kill them then hop on to the ledge on the other side for a fly-by of the
huge temple area. Hop on to the
surrounding ledge overhead to collect Uzi Clips
from SE corner and a Small Medipack from the NE
corner.
Hop back on to the ledge where you got the cutscene and
look over the valley at the temples.
Quick reference:
Spot the hang switch over the waterfall – jump back
and grab it to open the door to the Sun Temple below. Hop back in to the water and collect the flares
then climb out.
Enter the door you just opened to find four closed
doors.
Objective:
To open these doors which give access to each of the
four surrounding smaller temples which each contain a sun element.
The four sun elements give you access to two artifacts to allow you
inside the Sun Temple itself.
As
obtaining the Sun Elements can be done in any particular order, I’ve added
quick-jump links to some areas as reference to those who haven’t played the
game exactly as how the walkthrough, for this level, is laid out.
Jump to:
Head N until you reach a lake with an island in the
middle. Flick the switch on the
wall of the NW corner of the lake (the wall behind the statues) – this lowers
a block revealing another switch on the SW corner of the wall, so flick it to
raise the level of the lake. Kill
the 2 fighting fish in the lake then hop in to
collect some Shotgun Shells from the NE corner
and a Large Medipack from the NW corner.
Flick the underwater lever hidden behind the plant at the base of the SE
corner of the island to open the door on the W side and swim through for SECRET
1. Swim through a crevice on
the W side of the island and flick the underwater lever to open the door that
you can see on the N side of the lake. Swim
out and down through another crevice in the NW corner of the pillar (where you
collected the large medipack from) and pull up at the end.
Crawl under the darts and head through the door on the right.
The lever is guarded by spikes so collect the Large
Medipack and push the button to drop a trapdoor further on.
Head out and right, and around the corner and drop through the trapdoor.
Swim along the passage until you come to an intersection, go up and
surface – this is your breathing hole. Swim
S and follow the passage, locate the underwater lever on the pillar in the SW
corner and flick it, then swim back to the breathing hole.
This time swim N and through the door, pull the ceiling lever on the
right (collect the Shotgun Shells opposite if
you have time) and swim back to the breathing hole.
The ceiling lever turns off the spikes surrounding the lever so head back
there and flick the lever to open a door in the Sun Temple. Go back to the Sun Temple and head inside the door and flick
the lever to open the door to the smaller temple in the NW (Temple 5).
Head inside, open the crypt and take the Sun
Element Light (note
the lit torches, you’ll be back here later)
Head over to the temple next door with the
waterfall, shoot the 2 crocs
in the water. Now shoot the totem
on it’s own in the SE corner facing the waterfall, for a pillar to rise.
Climb on to the block, then the pillar and run-jump across the water to
the doorway. Flick the switch then
quickly jump in to the water and head to the right (E) side of the small lake
and open the door now visible due to the block lowering – open it quickly and
swim through before the block rises again.
Swim through and surface.
Head through the doorway in the S side and
shoot the 4 compies
which attack. Collect the flares, Shotgun
Shells and the Uzi
Clips. Jump
on to the block on the left (E), then run-jump to grab the pillar in the S, then
run-jump to the pillar in the E for SECRET 2. Hop
back down to the ground and head over to the pillar in the S, locate the
trapdoor (screenshot)
and open it from the S side. Flick
the switch to open the golden gate where you surfaced from your swim, jump over
there, go to the end of the short passage, turn around and look up, flick the
jump switch to raise a block where you exited the water from (as you flick the
jump switch, the camera gives you a glimpse of the temple key above, this is
what you’re after). Climb on to
the block then jump up to the roof of the structure. Collect the Temple Key from the grate then climb back down.
Stand on the NE side of the hole where you surfaced your swim in to this
area and look up to see a ball. You
don’t have any means of aiming so draw pistols and jump forward shooting until
you get the ball (it’s easier to hit it if you stand on an angle, (screenshot). The
large door on the W opens so head in there.
Use the key on the right side of the block the lever is on.
This raises a block so you can stand at the lever and flick it.
Another door in the Sun Temple opens so head back there.
The door to Temple 1 opens using the lever, go inside to open a crypt and
retrieve Sun
Element Fire.
SUN ELEMENT WATER
Go
to the temple in the very S (Temple 4). Enter,
to be under attack by a group of bats so run like crazy out of there and keep
running until they disapate. Now back to Temple 4 and retrieve a Large
Medipack
from the crypt. Go outside again
and over to the temple’s NE corner, pull out the NE corner block to reveal a
button behind it. Push the button
for a block to lower revealing a switch. Head
around the W side to flick the switch. This
lowers the trapdoor back inside so head back there and down the ladder.
Follow the passage to a room with grating and a closed golden door.
Pick up the Small Medipack and Large Medipack and flick the hang switch on the SE pillar to open
a trapdoor on the W side. Run over the side in to
the
niche (don’t press action or Lara will fall).
Turn to face the ramps and fire. Face
Lara NW and hop back so you have a bit of running room – run her off the side
to the ramp below (in this direction), slide a bit then jump to the next ramp,
jump over the fire on the next one then as you land, immediately jump, then jump
again to the last one and over the flame in to the doorway (again without
sliding). Press action to
angle Lara down a bit but don’t hold it or she’ll grab the ladder above –
you should land in the passage unscathed. Push
the button at the end of the passage to open the golden gate and the trapdoor
above. Stand to the either side of
the passage and run-jump with a twist over the flame, so Lara lands on the slope
backwards, then immediately jump forward and grab the climable wall above.
Climb to the top and head through the open golden gate.
Pick up the Shotgun
Shells
behind the pillar and the Uzi
Clips
behind the other pillar. Flick
the lever to open the third door in the Sun Temple and head back there.
There’s no lever in this doorway but a Mayan
Idol,
so collect the idol and head over to the temple in the SW corner.
Place the idol to open the door and head inside.
Collect Sun
Element Water
from the crypt.
SUN ELEMENT EARTH
Head
over to the temple on the W side (Temple 3), but before you go inside, turn to
face the back of the temple with the waterfall and collect Shotgun
Shells and
Uzi
Clips
from it’s niches. Now head inside
Temple 3, again be under attack by bats when you enter so flee for your life! Go back to Temple 3 and open the crypt for some Uzi
Clips. Note the unlit torch on the left of it.
Go
over to the temple with the waterfall and climb up to the top of it.
Pick up one of the torches and head inside Temple 5 to light the torch.
Go back to Temple 3 and light the torch beside the crypt for the trapdoor
to open, and drop down. Collect
some more Uzi
Clips
from the crypt then look over in to the next small room and at the secret skull
on fire. Drag the skeleton on the
left on to the tile to open the door at the top of Temple 3, climb up and
retrieve the Temple
Mask.
Go
to the temple’s SW corner outside and push the movable block in to the W wall
with greenery to reveal a switch. This
switch turns the fire off over the skull, but it’s timed.
So flick the switch, run-jump on to the ledge on your right and left in
to the doorway, drop down the hole and run to collect the skull before the flame
reignites, this is SECRET
3.
Now go all the way back to Temple 2. Go on to it’s N side and place the mask on the left of the movable block (with the Mayan native face). This lowers the block behind it so push the block all the way to the NE corner.
Go
to the base of the temple on the N side
Flick
the switch beside the palm tree to lower the block on the NW corner,
revealing a 2nd
switch.
Flick
the 2nd switch to lower the block to another tier of the temple
Push
the block all the way to the NW corner
Raise
the 1st switch to raise the block which covers the 2nd switch
Move
the block right over to the NW corner
Flick
the 1st switch to lower the block in front of the 2nd switch
Raise
the second switch to lower the block to the ground
Move
the block on to it’s matching tile.
This
opens another door in the Sun Temple so head inside and flick the new lever to
open the door to Temple 2, go inside and open the crypt for another Sun
Element Earth.
Entering the Sun Temple
Now
you have all 4 Sun Elements, place them in the yellow sun holders at the front
of the Sun Temple to open 2 doors. Head
inside one of the doors and up the ladder, turn around and run-jump to the
crumbling bridge. Run to the top of
the temple then continue along the next part of the bridge to the top of the
next temple, collect the Sun Goddess
from the temple on the left, and the Sun
Disk
from the right (following the same technique but going through the other door
instead). Combine them to
make a Sun
Talisman. Now climb the ladder between the two doors of the Sun Temple
and place the Sun Talisman on the receptacle in front of the skeleton on the
throne. This opens the door to the
temple opposite so climb down and head inside.
Take the Small Medipack
and Shotgun Shells then flick the switch to
drop the trapdoor below. As you
fall, quickly press and hold forward and action buttons to make Lara grab a
jumpswitch on the way down, before falling in to the water.
The jumpswitch raises one of the pillars so use it to climb to the room
above. Take the Secret
Mask then drop back in to the water.
Flick the underwater ceiling lever on the block in the
NW corner to open the top underwater door and swim through.
Flick the underwater lever to open the door at the bottom and swim
through and up, then follow the passage to enter The Sun Temple.
Collect the Large Medipack
from the behind the statue in the SE corner.
Now push the block in on the E wall to reveal a passage.
Head in to the small chamber (where Indie met his demise) and flick the
lever to lower a wall blocking the block on the W wall and giving access to
another small room. Head back to
the previous room and push in the block in the W wall to reveal the passage and
head in to the small room. Shoot the bats, and then
collect the Small Medipack. Flick the lever to open the door in the first room.
A cutscene shows a nasty spike trap if Lara should land
on the pillar the skeleton is on. Instead,
she’ll have to take the slower way to get across: grab the edge of the ledge
and shimmy left and around the corner, continue shimmy to the other side until
you’re over a jump-switch, let go and grab the jumpswitch to turn the fire off
below. Flick the lever to open the
gate on the other side of the room but it’s timed so move quickly.
Run-jump and grab the ladder on the pillar, climb to the top (but don’t
pull up on to the pillar or you’ll activate the spike trap).
Instead, immediately back-jump with a twist and grab the shimmy ledge
again to continue shimmying to the other side, as soon as you go around the
corner, pull up under the overhang and sprint through the door before it closes.
Get through the circular blade by getting Lara as close
as possible to it (without her getting hurt) and simply time your roll through
– Lara should roll through unscathed. Time
your run past the moving wall (run, don’t sprint, especially as there’s a
circular blade on the other side of it). The rolling through trick for the next circular blade won’t
work as Lara will roll in to the path of the next moving wall.
So do a side jump through instead. Again
run past the next moving wall. At
the last moving wall, when it moves right, run in to the passage on the left and
flick the lever to open the door. Continue
using the technique as described above.
After you side-jump through the last circular blade, look left where the
moving block moves in to and spot the passage to jump up to.
As the block moves right, head left and jump up in to the passage for SECRET
1. Finally, run (do
not sprint) past the last moving wall in to the large room.
As you enter the room, you hear a rumble and a large block falls in front
of you (if you had sprinted, it probably would have squashed you).
Look up on the right side of the block over the doorway and flick the
jumpswitch to open the door opposite. Head
around past the block taking care as another block falls from the ceiling, go
between them and around the 2nd block and the final block falls, make
your way around it and through the door.
Crumbling
tile run:
Run-jump and grab the edge of the crumbling tile on the
left, shimmy Lara around to the left so she is facing the next tile to run to
(tiles don’t start to crumble until Lara is standing on them).
Pull up and run-jump and grab the next tile.
Pull up, take a hop forward then do a standing-jump to the next tile to
land on its back edge. Run-jump and
grab the tile in the NE corner. Shimmy
as far right as you can, then pull up and run (while turning left) to grab the
last tile by the entrance. Don’t
bother pulling up; it’s easier to just shimmy around to the entrance.
Collect the shotgun shells then flick
the switch to open the door in the NE corner.
Grab the monkey swing overhead from the higher step and monkey swing
through the opened door. Flick the
switch to open the door to the left of this one and use the monkey swing
(swinging all the way around to the other side of this part of the room) to get
there.
You enter a room with The Mayan Book enclosed in a cage.
There are torches in the NE corner but a skeleton is lying over the top
of them – you need to move the block (part of the pillar) to move the skeleton
to get a torch.
Go to the NW corner and look up, spot the trapdoor and
jump up to open it. Climb up the
wall (as it’s climbable) and follow the passage down to a small room.
Shoot the vases for 2x flares and shotgun shells
(don’t shoot the vase in the NE corner as it only contains a bat).
Pull the rope to lower the block so you can move the skeleton, but before
you collect a torch, head in to the SE passage – look up to the left to see a
closed door, to the right is a sloped ramp you can stand on.
Head over the ramp and around to the right until you come to a switch.
Flick the switch then run back to stand on the highest part facing the
door (which is now open) jump and shoot the vase to raise the block at the end
of this passage.
Go back for a torch then stand on the block – try to
place the torch (as shown in the screenshot)
so Lara can pick it up quickly. Flick
the switch, step to the right and pick up the torch, side-jump on to the first
trapdoor. (If facing backwards,
roll) then run-jump to the next trapdoor, immediately side-jump to the next,
roll again to face the right way, and run-jump to the next trapdoor.
Side-jump again to the last trapdoor, roll again and run-jump in to the
passage. Follow the passage and
drop down to a small room. Light
the torch on the flame then in to the short passage to light the torch there.
A block lowers giving you access to the main room again.
Go to the NE room now. You need to get up to the NW corner but can’t with the
torch. Note the crevice in
the NE corner; this passage connects to the one you’re trying to get the torch
to. Jump up to the block then to
the top of the pillar to face your first flame emitter. Throw the torch to land on the next pillar, climb down to the
ground and use the lower slanted block to run-jump to the pillar you threw the
torch to. Pick up the torch and
throw it past the next flame emitter to the next pillar – continue this
process until you throw it through the crevice.
Now drop back to the ground and make your way up to the passage, head
right and down the slope to collect the torch and follow the passage to another
small room (picking up flares on the way).
Light the central pot to activate a spike trap guarding
a reach-in lever back in the main room. Light the torch near the block to give you access back in the
main room.
Use the reach-in lever on the E wall to lower the cage
around the book. Pick up the Mayan
Book for a large nasty dog to appear.
The dog drops a Skull Key when it’s
dead. Use the key in the block with spikes to lower a trapdoor over
the pedestal where you collected the Mayan Book.
You’ve got what you came for so now it’s time to go
home. But some dangers still await
you……
Pull up in to the passage and head up the sloped ramp, 4x
soldiers attack so shoot them all. One
of them drops a Mayan Mask, use it in the door
at the top of the passage. You’re
back in the jungle, so head over to the pillar on the right of the large double
gates in front of you. Stand to the
left side of it’s front where the ground is higher and jump up to grab the
edge. Pull up and jump over to the large ledge on the right,
flick the jumpswitch to open the large double gates.
If you have the Secret Mask you collected from the
Temple of the Sun, place it in its holder to open the gate to collect SECRET
2.
Head through the gate. Go around past the jeep and to the right for a Large
Medipack.
Drive down the ramp and through the doorway opposite
where you shot the soldier with the
jeep keys. Smash through a barrier
of vines. Drive around to the left
and run over the soldier for his Large Medipack, now head back a bit and in to the small room on
the right, run the soldier over there and flick
the lever in the corner. Head out
and to the right to crawl under a plant to collect some Flares.
Now back to the jeep and go
out and up to the top of the original path and through the gate, head right and
over the ridge. Wait for the spikes
to activate then drive over them. Accelerate
up the steep slope and over the pit, then stop at the closed gate.
Hop out and head over to the pit, use the ladder to climb to the bottom.
Flick the jumpswitch on the N wall to open the gate then climb back out.
Shoot the soldier.
Before you hop in the jeep, run through the gate and around to the left,
spot the hidden crawlspace and crawl through to flick a switch that opens a gate
further on. Now back to the jeep
and continue on. Drive through the
now opened gate, smash through another vine barrier and up the steep ramp where
you’ll come to a ring road. Climb
out of the jeep when you get to the gate and head to the N side.
Look up to see a hidden crawlspace and crawl through, drop down the other
side of the gate and pull the rope to open the gate.
Go back to the jeep and drive through.
Drive on to the stone and Lara will fall through sustaining quite a bit
of injury. Turn the jeep around and
continue on, smashing through another vine barrier.
Drive through the doorway on to a walkway over water.
Hop in to the water on the left for the Small
Medipack then go through the gate which will open as you approach it.
Be careful as you approach the second gate - as you drive over the tile,
it will trigger a block to rise over it pushing you in to the water so quickly
turn in to the gate before it can do that.
As you approach the next gate, climb out and collect a Large
Medipack from the water on the left and another Small
Medipack from the right. Drive
through the next gate and quickly turn right before the block rises to push you
forward in to the water. Go around
to the right and park in the wider area. Climb
out and go over to the water in the NW corner.
Hop in and swim around to the right and pull up on to a ledge with
greenery. Look up and to the right
for the jumpswitch and flick it to lower an underwater cage.
Hop back in the water and swim around to the left, swim through the gap
on the right and around to the left to flick the underwater lever to make
another cage rise. Head over
to the closed gate and climb on to the cage on it’s left. Jump up to the crawlspace above and collect the Crowbar
from the skeleton. Use the crowbar in the hidden lever at the base of the palm
tree beside the gate to open the gate.
Drive the jeep up the steep slope and continue until you come to a
trench. Climb out and head over to
the helicopter to end your epic journey.
