Level 1:
The Cursed Town
You start standing next to a jeep. Go south behind
the pillars and enter the south building. Go west and hop up onto the ledge. Go
to the north corner and pull up onto the roof of the building. Go west and jump
over the street to grab the ledge at the west building. Hit the LOOK key to
restore the normal camera view. Jump the ledges to the north. At the end, jump
over the street to the building to the east. Pull up and go to the south-east
corner for red shotgun shells. Go north to a
hole and climb down the ladder into the building. Go west to shoot the ninja and pick up the Crimson
Badge from the dead body. Exit by the open door in the south wall. You
are back on the starting street.
Go east into the street and you can look north to
see a closed gate for much later. Go south-east behind the pillars and enter
the building. Go to the south-west corner and use the floor lever that is
cleverly disguised as a sword in the skeleton. You get a cut scene of a building.
The vase at the east wall is empty. Exit and go east and enter the south
building again. Climb the west ledge and go north to get back onto the roof.
Again jump the street to the west ledge. Go onto the balcony and shoot all the
windows. Enter any window and hear some church-like music. Notice closed doors
at the north end of the corridor. Go to the south end. Place the Crimson Badge
in the west wall receptacle and the north next to you opens.
Enter that room and see a closed door in the east
wall. There is an open door in the west wall. Go south and follow the corridor
to another room. Go to the south wall and to the left of a gray box and pick up
red shotgun shells. Pull back the brown box at
the east wall. Go behind the box and pick up a Crimson
Badge. There is nothing under the brown box near the north wall. Exit
the room and go north and west through the open door. Go west and enter a room
with a fountain. Dive into the water and pick up a small
medipack near the west ledge. Get out of the
water and go to the south-west corner and place the Crimson badge in the
receptacle on the west wall. The door opens to your left. Enter and follow the
corridor to a desert-like area. Drop into the hole in the sand. Go south and
follow the tunnel to an odd-shaped room. Go to the south-east corner. Slide
down the slope in the south wall and the level changes.
Level 2:
The Cursed Ruins
You slide down the slope and land in a large room.
Go forward and the camera view is unusual. Run north to restore the normal
camera view. To the east is a tunnel that ends in a closed gate. Go to the
north-west corner and follow the west tunnel. You drop into a large room. The
camera view changes. Go south behind the south-east column and pick up a white skull (called Load). Go behind the north-west
column and pick up the laser sight. Hop onto
the hill in the middle of the room and pick up a small
medipack. Go west and run and jump to grab the
bottom edge of the pentagram symbol on the west wall. Pull up through the
pentagram symbol. Go west and the camera view changes. Hit the LOOK key to
restore the view. Go to the south-west corner and pick up red shotgun shells. Go to the east wall and pick up a
white skull.
Return and see a closed gate in a north alcove. Exit east to return to
the room with the hill.
Go east down the hill and notice the tunnels in the
north and south wall. Go south and run and jump from the top of a hill to grab
the edge of the south wall tunnel. Pull up and go south. The rooms in the side
tunnels are empty. Go to the end and pull down the wall switch. You get a cut
scene of the room behind the pentagram and hear a gate open. Exit this tunnel
and go west again and pull up through the pentagram symbol. Go west and north
and into the open gate. Follow the tunnel to see three alcoves. Pull down the
jump switch in the middle alcove. You get a cut scene of the room where you
entered this level. Exit back to the room with the hill.
Enter the north wall tunnel and ignore the first
branch tunnel, as it leads to an empty room. There is a closed gate to the
north. Enter the second branch tunnel and go to the west wall. Pull down the
wall switch and get a cut scene of a tunnel in the corner of a room of sand.
Exit the room and go south back to the room with the hill. Pull up into the
east tunnel to get back to the starting room. Go east and south into a tunnel.
Pick up flares and follow the tunnel to the
room of sand. Go to the north-east corner and enter the tunnel from the cut
scene.
Go east and drop into a room. Go to the north-west
corner and hop into the opening. Go to the back of the room for flares. Exit back to the room and run up the ramp in
the north wall. You can see a fire wraith appear
at the top of the ramp. Continue and run straight into the tunnel in the north wall.
At the end, turn to the left and follow the tunnel to a room with a water pool.
Dive into the water to extinguish the fire wraith. There is a closed gate in
the north wall. Follow the tunnel in the south-east corner and pick up a large medipack. Then return
back to the room with the bird statue at the top of the ramp. Pick up flares and two cursed
crystals from the floor. The golden skulls are sleeping wraiths.
The east tunnel is closed by a gate around a
corner. Go to the end of the north and west tunnels to place the cursed
crystals. Run back to the water pool and dive into the water to get rid of two fire wraiths. Return to the room with the bird
statue and enter the east tunnel. Go through an open gate and follow the tunnel
to a dark slope. Slide down a very long slope and land
in a dark tunnel. Go south and enter a dark maze. Ignore the first branch
tunnel and enter the second branch tunnel Go east to see a pentagram on the
floor. Stay there and shoot a knight that
attacks you. Notice that the knight has a strange large hole in his chest.
Go to the pentagram and pull up through the ceiling
to either the north or east sides. You enter a small room. Go to the north wall
and pick up secret #1 and a shotgun. Drop down back onto the pentagram. Go east
and north to see a closed gate. Shoot the attacking knight
and pick up a cursed crystal from the body. Go
south and place the cursed crystal in a receptacle. You get a cut scene of a
room and hear a gate open. Go north to the open gate. Enter the open gate and
go north into a room with a water hole in the corner. Dive into the water and
swim down a long slope. Pull down the underwater lever on the east wall and
surface through the hole in the ceiling to the west.
You surface in a sewer-like tunnel. There is a
closed gate in the south wall. Swim north and pull up into a very dark room.
Use a flare and climb the blocks to the left. At the top, turn to then right
and find a wall switch. Use the wall switch and the gate opens beside you.
Enter the gate and slide down the slopes back towards the sewer. You get a
flyby of sewer tunnels and ugly crocodiles. Wait at the door and shoot the two crocodiles. It takes a long time with pistols.
Dive into the water and swim south to the open gate. Swim up the ramp and
follow the tunnel until the tunnel branches. Go straight to surface where you
see a red light. Enter the room and shoot all five vases. Pick up red shotgun shells and blue
shotgun shells from the floor.
Get back to the water and swim to the other branch
tunnel. Go north and pull up into a room. Go north and enter a crawl space. Go
north and ignore the first branch tunnel. Go straight and enter another room.
Go east and pick up red shotgun shells. The
vase is empty. Return and enter the tunnel you passed earlier. Go east and
slide down a slope. The gate opens as you approach it. You land in an area with
three dark corridors. In the east corridor is a closed gate.
Go south and onto a ledge. Jump over the water pit
and be careful of the two swinging blades. Go south on the next ledge and get a
cut scene of gates opening. Dive into the water and go to the north-east
corner. Dive into the hole and swim to the east in the underwater tunnel. When
you see a right side branch tunnel, swim inside and follow it to the end. You
get secret #2 and pick up revolver ammo and a small medipack. Exit and swim west to surface in the room
where you started. If you follow the underwater tunnel you can enter two rooms
but you cannot pull up anywhere. Pull up onto the corner platform and stand
jump west to grab the ledge and pull up.
Go north and face a room with many columns and
swinging blades. Stand jump onto the first column and get past the swinging
blade. Stand jump onto the second column and get past the swinging blade. Stand
on the north edge and stand jump to grab the third column. Pull up and get past
the swinging blade. When the swinging blade moves, stand jump north to grab the
next column. Stand jump to the west for the last column. Stand jump beside the
swinging blade and then jump into the west tunnel. Go to the end and pull down
the wall switch on the north wall. Either jump past the swinging blades again
to get to the central ledge. Or dive into the water and swim into the hole in
the south-east corner and follow the underwater tunnel back to the previous
room and pull up to the central ledge.
When you get back, go east
through the open gate. Jump onto a north ledge for red shotgun shells. Jump onto a south ledge for revolver ammo. If you fall into the
water, the exit tunnel in the east wall returns you back to the first room
where you can pull up back on the central ledge. Jump the ledge and then
jump to the east ledge and under the second gate. Climb the east wall and slide
down a slope. You get a flyby showing you the next area.
Pull up onto a north ledge. Go north among the
golden columns and shoot two knights that attack
from the sides. In the corridor behind the west golden columns, you can find a shotgun on the floor. Continue north up a ramp and
down a dark corridor. You arrive in a room with a water pool and the camera
view changes. Go to the west wall for another shotgun.
Go north and see two statues in front of a closed gate. Go to the north-east
corner for red shotgun shells. Notice the bird
statue in the middle of the room.
Dive into the water and swim to the south-west area
and pull down an underwater lever. Surface and pull up onto the west ledge.
Enter the open gate in the west wall. Follow the tunnel and enter a room with
many vases. Two sword wraiths start to attack
you. Turn around and run back to the bird statue. I also ran around a lot with
the wraiths chasing me. After a long time and medipacks,
the wraiths finally exploded at the bird statue. Now return to the room and
shoot all the vases. Go around the room and pick up the laser sight, grenade normal ammo, three red shotgun shells, revolver
ammo, small medipack, flares and trident #1 (call load). Exit the room back to the
bird stature. There still seemed to be more wraiths around the statue but they
ignore you.
Now enter the open gate in the east wall. Go north
and down some steps. Shoot the two ahmets
that attack from behind you. Pull down the jump switch on the north wall. Exit
the room through the open gate in the west wall. Enter a room and go to the
north wall to pick up trident #2. Return the
way you came or pull up through the west window back to the first room. Return
back to the bird statue.
Go north and place the two tridents on the two
statues. The two gates on the north ramp open. Go up the ramp and follow the
corridor to the end. Turn to the west and face several swinging blades over
platforms. The floor below is deadly. Stand jump to the first platform and go
forward past the swing blade. Stand jump to grab the next platform. Shimmy to the
right and pull up. Run and jump with a right curve diagonally across the
platform. Grab the next platform and shimmy to the left before you pull up.
Stand jump to the next platform and pull up. Stand jump to the last platform
and grab the edge. Shimmy to the left and pull up behind the swing blade.
Go west into the next room. You are on a bridge
over a dark pit and the camera view changes. You can see a wall ladder on your
left. Jump south to that ledge and climb down the wall ladder. Go north to the
wall and then west until you find a small medipack. Then go south and drop into a hole. Follow
a west wall crawl space to a small room. Pull down the wall switch on the south
wall. Return through the crawl space and pull up into the dark pit again. Go
south to the wall and then east. Pick up a large medipack and continue east to find the wall ladder.
Climb to the top and jump back to the bridge. Go west and stop before you enter
the door. Use binoculars and look to the north wall. You can see something on
the ledge. Jump over there and pick up a white skull.
Jump back to the bridge and go west into the tunnel.
Enter a room and go west. Then turn around and
shoot two knights. Be careful that they do not
push you onto a deadly tile or down the slope at the west end of the room. All
the statues in the alcoves are moveable. Move the statue in the north wall
alcove that is second from the west end of the room. You should get secret #3 and pick up two
grenade normal ammo and blue shotgun shells.
Go west and slide down the slope. You fall into a pool of water. Dive to the
bottom for a small medipack,
grenade super ammo, and the grenade gun.
Pull up to the west ledge and shoot two crocodiles.
One of the crocodiles will leave a cursed crystal.
Use the cursed crystal in the north wall receptacle to open the gate in the
west wall.
Enter the next room and the camera view changes. Go
west and pickup up three white skulls from in
front of a column. Go to the south-east corner and dive into the water pool
with the waterfall. Swim into an underwater crawl space in the lower west wall.
Follow the tunnel to the left for secret #4
and revolver ammo. Swim back and get out of the
water. Go to the west wall and place three white skulls into the three
receptacles. You hear some gates open. Follow the open gate in the north wall.
You enter a room for secret #5 and pick two revolver ammo, large medipack, and the revolver.
Exit and push a movable statue near the south ramp
onto the pentagram symbol on the floor at the east wall. The south wall gate
above the ramp opens. Enter the gate and run up the slope to the left side of
the middle. Two rocks drop and roll towards you. When the right rock passes
you, side jump to the right and the left rock should also pass you. Run up the
ramp and enter a small green room. There is a closed gate in the south wall. Go
to the south-east corner and drop into a hole. Slide down a slope and follow
the tunnel to a wall switch. Save the game for a hard run. Pull down the wall
switch and a block rises behind you. Run south towards an open gate as a rock
rolls towards you. Run and jump to get over the spikes in the hole. You land on
another slope. Slide down as another rolling rock follows you. Jump over a hole
and the rock falls into the hole. Near the end, jump over a large medipack and safely land in a room. The medipack
is a spike trap so leave it alone.
Go to the north-west corner and pull up into a west
tunnel. Follow the tunnel to a slope. Slide down the slope near the left wall.
There are rolling rocks in the middle and right sections of the slope. At the
bottom go west and pull down a wall switch. You can hear a rock fall. Turn to
the left and slide down the next slope. The bottom is a fire trap. Near the
bottom, jump up with a right curve and enter the open gate in the west wall.
Follow the tunnel until you see a hole over your head. Grab the east wall of
the hole and climb up. At the top, back flip into a room. Go north and stand on
a platform. Look south and above your head to see a climbable wall in a hole.
Jump up to grab the wall by your fingernails. Climb up the wall and near the
top, back flip onto a ledge. Pull up north onto a block. Enter the west room
and you get a cut scene of a room with a water pool. You also hear a gate open.
Go to the south-west corner and exit the room. You
are back in an area that you have seen earlier. Go south and you are back in
the room with the hill and the pentagram symbol on the west wall. Go east to
exit the room back to the room where you started this level. Go east and follow
the south tunnel again back to the room of sand. Exit through the north-east
opening again. Go up the north ramp back to the area with a bird statue. Go
north and west to find the water pool. Now the gate is open. Enter the tunnel
and go north and drop into a small room.
Go north and walk through the north wall with the
picture of a golden circle on a white background. You slide down a slope and
land in a room to shoot a mutant demigod. It
takes a lot of revolver ammo to kill it. It leaves behind a white skull. Search the middle north and east ledges
for two revolver ammo. The water is safe so
dive in and pick up two large medipacks
and two revolver ammo from the floor.
Swim into the underwater tunnel in the east wall. Go east and south and pull up
into a room. Go to the east wall and pull down a wall switch. Swim back to the
battle room and pull up onto the north ledge. Run through the open gate and
follow the corridor around a corner. Shoot two ahmets and continue down the corridor to the end.
Pull up into a higher north corridor. Run to the
end and place a white skull in the west wall receptacle. You get a cut scene of
a gate opening behind the waterfall. Go south and turn to the west into an
opening. You are back at the waterfall. Dive into the water and swim to the
west to pull up. Go west again and jump over the rock in the south pit. Run up
the ramp again and drop off the end into the small green room again. The south
wall gate is open. Run down the tunnel and the level changes.
Level 1:
The Cursed Town Revisited
You start in a dark room. To your left is a tunnel
that leads back to the second level. Go south and then go east to find the exit
tunnel. Follow the tunnel and get a cut scene of a ninja. You also hear a gate
open. Follow the tunnel and emerge back near the street where you started the
game. Go east and you find the jeep. Enter the south building and use the
ledges at the west wall to get back onto the roof. Jump over the street to the
west ledge. Pull up and go west into the corridor to shoot the ninja. Go south into the room and notice that now the
east door is open.
Enter and follow the corridor to a room with water
pools. Jump over the first water pool. Dive into the second and swim into the
underwater tunnel in the east wall. Pull up into a dark room with several
closed gates. Go to the floor lever at the north wall and save for a criminally
tight timed run. A ticking clock will indicate how much time you have left. The
faster the ticking, the less time you have. You will also get a few cut scenes.
Hit the LOOK key to stop them. However, according to a forum note, you should
let the first cut scene for the first floor lever finish to completion. This
opens the final door and the clocks starts ticking. Use sprint whenever possible.
If you hit a wall or need to adjust your position for a floor lever, you will
probably not make it.
Use the floor lever and get a flyby of the room.
Turn to your right and sprint south into an open gate. Sprint to the yellow
tile at the end. Roll and sprint out back into the room.
Sprint to the north-east to use the floor lever.
Enter the open gate beside it. Sprint to the light blue tile at the end. Roll
and sprint out back into the room.
Sprint to the south-east to use the floor lever. I
think that a back flip and a roll is a few
milliseconds faster than to turn 180 degrees. Sprint to the north-west and
enter the tunnel. Run to the red tile at the end. Roll and sprint out back into
the room.
Sprint south to use the floor lever. Enter the open
gate beside it. Sprint to the dark blue tile at the end. Roll and sprint out
back into the room.
Go to the east wall and use the floor lever. The
black door slowly opens beside you. You get a cut scene of the door opening
from the other side. Enter the open door
and slide down the slope. Jump over the fire pit and through the open gate.
Save the game a few times.
Follow the tunnel east and then go north. You are
on a ledge over a deep pit with a few columns. Go into the north-west ledge and
run and jump to grab the north column. You can climb down to the floor but
there is nothing to find down there. Climb up near the top and shimmy around to
the right to drop onto a ledge. Run and jump to grab the east column. Jump
south to the next column. Go east and run and jump to grab the crevice in the
north wall. Shimmy to the right and drop onto a lower column. Stand jump south
to grab a column. Jump to the next column and then onto the ledge at the south
wall. Run and jump into the opening to the east.
Follow the corridor to the north and enter a room
with two closed gates and two floor levers. Use the floor levers to open the
gates. Go into the east tunnel and pick up a small medipack. Go to the last tile and get a camera view
from the west tunnel. Enter the west tunnel and at the end, safety drop into a
sewer. Go west and destroy two mummies. Go to
the end of the sewer and run and jump into the south wall tunnel. You hear a
gate open. Follow the short tunnel and pull up through an open gate. You are
back near the starting street.
Go south and east to see the open door behind the
jeep. First enter the south building again and use the west ledge to get back
onto the roof. Run and jump over the street to grab the west ledge. Pull up and
go west into the corridor. Go north and enter the open door to the west wall.
Go to the west wall and shoot the two vases. Go forward and get secret #6 and pick up the Secret
Talisman. Exit the room and go south and east to safety drop back onto
the street. Go east behind the jeep. Go through the open door and run into the
desert area. Go to the hill at the end as the camera view changes. Jump onto
the hill and the level ends.
