Hunting for Ornaments Part 2 - Inside the Monastery

You drop into a large room in a monastery. In the east wall is an alcove with a closed gate and a key lock. Go south and enter a large corridor. In the east are two large closed doors. Go west and turn the corner to enter a library. In the south-west corner is a closed door. Go to the north-west corner and climb the south wall ladder onto a balcony. Go south a little and pick up a small medipack. Notice the receptacle on the north wall behind you. Follow the balcony to the other end and jump over the north railing to a wall switch. Pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene of large doors opening. Jump to the balcony and climb down the wall ladder. Exit the room back to the large corridor. Go east and enter the open large doors.

You enter a huge room. At the east wall are closed doors and a key lock. Go down the stairs to the ground floor. Notice the two receptacles above the ledge at the south wall. There are four large adjoining rooms.

South-west room:

Go to the south-west room and see a pool with two trap doors. There is a key lock on the east wall near the entrance. You can do nothing so exit this room.

North-west room:

Go to the north-west room. There is another pool. At the back you can see a key and a star on the wall. Jump the pool and many fires start in front of you. You can stand jump over the fires. Start between the tile at the north wall and the tile to the left of it where the tiles meet. Stand jump and land between the fires at the corners and you will not catch fire. Three stand jumps and you are on the back ledge. Go south and pick up the East Wing Key. Run and jump over the fires to land below them. If you catch fire, roll in the water. Exit this room and go up the stairs again.

Go to the closed doors at the east wall. Use the East Wing Key to open the doors. Before entering, jump south onto a balcony. Go south and do a banana-type jump around a column. Pick up the Water Pump Key beside the bell. Safety drop to the floor and go up the stairs to return to the open doors. Go up the steps and enter the north room. Climb the wall ladder in the north-west corner and get onto the balcony. Go to the middle and jump over the railings and grab the central column. Pull up to the top. Pull down the jump switch on the south side to raise a block next to the column. Hop onto the block and pull down the wall switch. Get down and go to the east wall. Follow the steps through the open gate. Follow the tunnel to another large room.

Stand at the south side of the small table in the center of the room. Face north and pick up the crowbar from the table. The crowbar can barely be seen on the tabletop. Hop onto the block at the south wall. Jump onto the higher east blocks and pick up the Closet Key. Jump down and go north. Pull down the wall switch and the large doors open. Return to the west. Go down the stairs to the north-west room again. Jump the fires again. Use the crowbar to pry the Golden Star off the wall. Jump the fires again and exit the room. Notice a closed door in the corner by the stairs.

Go up the stairs again and go west back to the library room. Climb the wall ladder onto the balcony again. Jump over to the north ledge and place the Golden Star in the receptacle. It is possible to hang on the ledge and pull up through the railings. Jump back to the balcony and climb down to the floor. Go into the open door in the south-west corner. Follow the tunnel to the end and pick up Prayer Wheel #1 from the floor. Exit the room and go back to the stairs. Go down to the ground floor again.

North-east room:

Go to the north-east room and see many boxes. Go onto the north-east corner box and pick up the very hard-to-see Roof Key. Go to the south-east corner. Hop onto the boxes and drop into a hole in the corner. Pick up flares and exit the room. Notice another closed door in the corner by the stairs.

Go up the stairs and go to the west. Turn to the right and return to the starting room. Go to the south wall alcove and use the Closet Key in the key lock. The gate beside you opens. Enter the small room for flares. Stand facing the east wall next to the open gate. Side step to the right twice. Then side jump to the left over the gate. Pick up the Fountain Key from the top of the box. Push in the box at the north wall. Go east and enter another room with a deep pool. Go to the east wall and use the Water Pump Key to open the gate. Go to the south-east corner and pick up a large medipack. Go to the north-west corner and pull down the wall switch. Exit the room and see that the pool is empty. Drop onto the east ledge and push the box to one side. Enter the alcove for secret #1 and pick up a Christmas Gift. Exit the alcove and use the west wall ladder to exit the pool. Exit this room and go east again. Go down the stairs.

South-west room again:

Return to the south-west room again. Use the Fountain Key and the trap doors open in the pool. Dive into the south-west trap door and into an underwater tunnel. Swim to the end and pick up the Blue Key from the floor. Swim back and surface. The north-west trap door leads to an empty underwater tunnel. Exit the room and go east.

South-east room:

Go to the south-east room. Go to the east side of the north column and use the Roof Key in the key lock. Go to the east wall and climb the long wall ladder up to the roof. Go east into the room and pick up Prayer Wheel #2. Return to the ladder and go south. Follow the corridor to a key lock. Use the Blue Key to open the gate. Enter the room and hop onto the west ledge. Pick up two Blue Gems from the ledge. Return to the ladder and climb down the ladder again and exit the room.

Go west back to the stairs. Hop onto the south ledge and place the two Prayer Wheels. Two doors open in the north corners next to the stairs. Go into each room and place a Blue Gem in each receptacle. Exit the rooms and go south. The doors beside the Prayer Wheels are open. Enter either door and go south to enter a large room. Go south to pick up the golden item from the floor and the level ends.
