Silent Night (Cicha Noc)

Level 1: Chcha Noc

The level starts with a long flyby of a jeep trail and ends with Lara standing in the snow. The path splits in front of you. Take the north-east path and see a fox cross your path. You have no guns and the fox runs away. Continue forward and you can see the fox in its den in the crawl space in the north wall. Go to the south-west corner behind the trees. Stand jump to the south over the snow and land in a hole. Pick up present #1 (Prezent) and get a cut scene of an ice tunnel. Stand jump to the north-east to get out of the hole. Go east to exit the area. Follow the path back to where you started.

Now take the south-east path until you see a deep pit. Go south and then south-west to get behind a rock to pick up flares. Return to the pit. Run and jump onto the snowy slope on the south side of the pit. Slide down and grab the edge. Shimmy to the left and pull up at the trees. Drop down onto a ledge and then slide down to safety drop to the floor of the pit. Turn around and face north and you should see something red among the north trees. Go there among the trees and pick up present #2. You get a cut scene of the same ice tunnel. Go east into a cave and pet the bear. All the animals seem friendly in this game. Leave the cave and go to the north wall. Get behind a pine tree and see some slopes. Back flip onto the west slope and jump forward to grab the east slope. Pull up and back flip to land on a triangular ledge. Stand at the higher north-west corner and pull up onto the west ledge above. Stand jump to grab the higher north ledge and pull up.

The path to the south-east goes around the pit to where you started. Go north and follow the path past two large rocks. Continue north until you reach a snowy hill. Go left around the hill and continue north. You should reach into a small clear depression in the snow. If you go east you will find the ice tunnel from the cut scene. That is for later. Go west around a rock. Continue west until you see a wolf on a snowy hill. You may catch the wolf moving, although you can see the wolf sleeping on the top of the hill. Go to the base of the hill and turn to the south. Go south and you should go behind a small tree and fall into a hole. Pick up present #3. You get a cut scene of the ice tunnel but now the tunnel is open. Pull up out of the hole. Go north and east to find the open ice tunnel.

Go through the opening and continue east into a large cave. In the south wall are bars that prevent you from getting the present that you can see behind the bars. There are tunnels in the north and east walls.

Enter the north tunnel and go past the blocked branch tunnel. Turn the corner and you can see a present. Run towards the present and a snowball falls and blocks the tunnel. You can go nowhere so exit the tunnel back into the large ice cave.

Enter the east tunnel and stop at the first branch tunnels at a 4-way junction. The south tunnel is blocked by a snow block. Go into the north tunnel. Follow a crawl space and pick up flares. Return back to the 4-way junction. Go east into a smaller ice cave. Go to the south-east and follow the south tunnel. There is a side branch tunnel to the east. You can see a light blue wall at the end. Continue south and follow the tunnel to a T-junction. Go south and enter a small cave. Pull out two snow blocks from the south-east corner. Safety drop onto the triangular hole in the east wall that the snow blocks were hiding. Follow the tunnel to a blue crystal and hear something. Follow the tunnel to the end and pull up into a large cave. Go south-west to the middle of the cave and pick up present #4. You get a cut scene of the blue wall that you saw from the earlier tunnel.

To the north are the bars that you saw from the other side in the large ice cave. Go to the north-east corner of the cave where you entered. Follow the north wall tunnel and a block has dropped. Continue back to the 4-way junction. Go east into the smaller ice cave again. Go to the north wall and find a moveable block behind a rock. Push the block forward about four times and enter onto a ledge over a large deep pit.

Go to the north-west corner and see a sloped column. Back flip onto the sloped column and jump forward to grab the crevice in the wall. You may need to use a right curve on the forward jump. Shimmy to the right and around the corner. Get into the climbing position on the stripped part of the snowy wall. Back flip, roll, to grab the edge of a column and pull up. Run and jump to grab the tunnel in the west wall. Pull up and follow the tunnel to the edge of the deep pit. Grab the stripped ceiling and monkey swing across the large gap. Drop into the tunnel and go forward and look for a crawl space on the upper west wall. Drop down on the other side. Follow the tunnel to another crawl space. Crawl through and drop into an ice cave. Go south-west and pick up present #5. You get a cut scene of an open cave that previously had the light blue wall. You can also see the snowball that blocked your earlier route to this cave.

Exit back the same way through the crawl space and the tunnels to get back to the deep pit and the monkey swing. Of course you cannot reach the ceiling. Run and jump down to the sloped column to the lower south-west. Use roll after you jump and you land on the slope backwards. Slide down and grab the edge. Pull up, back flip, roll, and grab the end of a tunnel. Pull up and follow the tunnel to the end. Climb the snowy blocks and drop at the end into a tunnel. To the west is the snowball. Go east and follow the tunnel back to the first large ice cave.

Go east and continue east into a smaller ice cave. Go to the south-east corner. Follow the tunnel south to the branch tunnel where you saw the light blue wall. Follow the branch tunnel to a small ice cave. Continue east into a tunnel and see an open area ahead of you. Run towards the cave exit and the level changes.

Level 2: Cicha Noc

Run forward out of the cave and into the outside area with the trees. Continue south to a corner and then turn east. Continue east and see a small bridge over a water stream. Cross the bridge and you can see some buildings. Go to the closest building to the north-east and open the door. Enter the building and you can see a Christmas tree and a pedestal in the north-west corner of the room. Stand at the south side of the pedestal and face the tree. Place a present on the pedestal. Nothing seems to happen. There is a door in the west wall. The room there appears to be empty. Exit the building.

Go south and you can see another building but you cannot enter that building. Go east to a covered area with a Christmas tree. It may be an outdoor singing pavilion. From there you can see a brick building to the south-east. There is a key lock and a closed door. To the south-west is a frozen lake. To the north and east are many buildings. Go in a north-east direction and go between the buildings. You see a snowman and a "WESOLYCH SWIAT" sign attached to two poles. Climb the south pole and face west. Adjust Lara so that the top of Lara's head at the bottom of the sign. Back flip only with no roll or grab and you should land on a ledge behind you. Go to the other end of the ledge. Stand jump slightly east of north to grab the crevice in the north wall. Shimmy to the right and around the corner to drop onto a ledge. Run and jump to pull down the jump switch on the north wall. You get a cut scene of a crawl space opening in a wooden building.

Go north and see the building with the crawl space. Continue past that building to find a small wooden building. Go north-west and pull up onto a slope in the corner of the small wooden building. Pull up south onto the roof of the building. Run and jump onto the ledge on the building to the south. Run and jump onto the sloped ledge on the building to the east. Slide down backwards and grab the edge. Shimmy to the left side of the slope. Pull up, back flip, and roll to grab the edge of the crawl space. Pull up into the crawl space and crawl to the north.

You stand up into a corridor. Go to the end and climb down the ladder into the corridor below. Go east and south to climb a ladder back to the second floor. Go to the north-west corner and push a moveable box in the west wall into the first corridor. Go down the ladder and climb the first ladder again. Push the block to the south. Go east back into the room and pull back a moveable box twice into the corridor. Go down the first ladder and go east and south to climb the second ladder again. Go north into the alcove created by the moved second box. Pull down the wall switch and you hear a door open somewhere. Return down the second ladder to the first floor.

Go north through the open door. The first room to the left seems to be an empty kitchen. Continue north into another room. Go to the north-east corner and stand on the west side of the pedestal near the Christmas tree. Place a present on the pedestal. Go west and open the door in the north wall. Step outside into the snow. Go left and loop around to see an empty swimming pool. Go to the south-east corner of the area. Hidden behind the tree in the corner is a pushbutton on the south wall. Press the pushbutton and get a cut scene of a trap door dropping. As you run back to the building, you may notice a grate in the lower left corner of the pool. It is a fake and does not open.

Enter the building and go south to the kitchen. Opposite the kitchen doorway is the open trap door. Climb down the ladder and go to the end of the corridor. Kick open the door and enter the basement. Go west and pull back the left barrel twice. Do a side jump between the barrels to get on the other side. Go west and jump up into an upper tunnel. Drop down on the other end. Go east and push a barrel to the end of the tunnel. Go into the south alcove and pick up a crowbar. Return and jump over the barrels and exit the basement. Climb the ladder back up into the building. Go south and press the pushbutton on the east wall. The door opens beside you. Exit the building and go back into the snow.

Go south and then west to get back to the outdoor singing pavilion. Continue west to the building near the frozen lake. Use the crowbar to open the door on the east side of the building. Enter the building and see water. Dive into the water and swim south into the lake. On the small mound at the center of the lake, you can pick up a hard-to-see Key (Klucz). Swim back to the building and pull up onto a ledge. Exit this building.

Go south-east and use the key to open the door in the brick building. Enter the building and see a kitchen to the north. Go east through the doorway and follow the corridor to the north. Enter the east doorway into a large dining room. Notice the fireplace at the south wall. Go to the north-west corner to a Christmas tree. Stand on the east side of a pedestal and face west towards the tree. Place a present on the pedestal. I think that the screen shook a little. Go to the north-east corner. Run through the curtain in the east wall. Pull down a jump switch on the north wall. You can hear a door open. Leave this room and return to the entrance of the building. Go to the south-east corner and go up the steps.

Go through the open door in the east wall. Enter the small room and pull back the green chair at the south wall. Go behind the chair and press the pushbutton on the wall. You get a cut scene of a fire stopping in a fireplace. Go down the steps and return to the dining room. Get into the fireplace and pull out a moveable block from back wall. Follow the short tunnel to the end and press a pushbutton. You hear a door open somewhere. Exit this room and return to the entrance of the building again.

Go to the south-east corner and go up the steps again. Go north past the first open door and enter the second open door in the east wall. Enter the room and go to the north-east corner with a Christmas tree. Stand on the south side of the pedestal and face the tree. Place a present on the pedestal and the level changes.

Level 3: Cicha Noc

You have no control. This is a long flyby of Tomb Raider characters singing carols in the outdoor singing pavilion. Notice Winston walking up to Lara and she gives him the last present. The flyby gives you a close look at the singers. The flyby continues towards some windows and the game ends.
