Some parts of this game require you to back track a lot. I tried to minimize
the back tracking. It will be mentioned when it occurs. [End note]
You start in a forest area. Run west and the camera
view changes to show that you are on a bridge. Continue west until closed gates
stop you. Go south a little and the gates open. There is nothing inside. Drop
off the bridge into the water below. There is an opening in the west wall.
Follow the underwater tunnel to the end and surface. Pull up to the east and
follow the tunnel to a closed gate. Use the wall switch and the gate opens.
Enter the gate and run up steps while the camera view changes. Enter a dark
room and shoot three bats. Pull down the wall
switch on the south-west corner wall and the gate opens in the south-east
corner. Safety drop into the hole and land on a large platform.
There are four ledges with closed doors. The closed
doors on the west ledge have a key lock. Safety drop on the south side onto a
lower ledge. Run and jump into the south-east corner. Pull down a wall switch
on the west wall. The camera view shows a gate opening at the far west wall. Go
to the west wall and enter the gate. Just follow the tunnel to a large room.
There are closed doors in the north wall. Before that there is a ramp and two
water pools. The north-east pool is empty. Dive into the north-west pool. Swim
into the underwater tunnel in the lower west wall. Follow the underwater tunnel
to the end and pull up onto a ledge.
To the north is a large cave. Go north to a tunnel
in the north wall. Get through two sets of teeth doors and pull down the wall
switch. You get a cut scene of the two doors opening. Get back through the
teeth doors and through the cave and underwater tunnel. Swim into the pool and
pull up on the south ledge. Go up the ramp to the open doors. You face a slope
with two spike pits and two swinging blades. Slide down and jump when
necessary. It just requires luck. I never found an ideal starting position or
timing. At the bottom, you land on a ledge over a lava pit. Go forward to the
edge to get out of the way of wall darts.
Stand jump onto the slope at the west wall. Just
jump the slopes to land on the north wall ledge with wall darts. Run off the
east side and land in front of a tunnel. Follow the tunnel and shoot two dogs. You see two wall switches, a fire, and a
closed gate. Pull down the wall switch on the east wall. Turn around and see a
gate open in the room behind the closed west gate. Look at it and you can see
the timed gate close. Go north and jump over the three knife blades. Dive into
the water and pull up on the other side. You are in the room behind the closed
gate. You can catch fire pulling down the west wall switch and still make it in
time to the water inside the room and survive. But you will use all your
medipacks to do it. Do not try it.
Go to the south-west corner and enter a second
tunnel. Go down the west ramp a little and jump up to grab the ceiling. Follow
the monkey swing to drop onto a ledge. Run off the edge to the south-east and
land on the only safe tile. Stand jump onto the east ledge. Pick up the small medipack, Uzi ammo and Uzi
for secret #1. Jump down the safe tile and
stand jump back onto the ledge. Follow the monkey swing back to the ramp. It is
too far to drop and survive. Run down the ramp and into a dungeon with closed
gates. One of the closed gates has a secret inside. I opened it later and did a
second trip to the dungeon. Go north and shoot two dogs
near a key lock. Continue north to a T-junction. Go left for two Uzi ammo. Go to the right and climb a wall
ladder. You face a lava pit with four hanging ropes. The ropes are not in a
straight line to make the swings more difficult. On the north ledge, go to the
north-east corner for red shotgun shells. Pick
up the Dungeon Key from the middle platform.
Use the ropes to swing back to the south ledge. On the return trip, aim for the
side so that you do not fall into the deep entrance hole.
Climb down the ladder and return to the dungeon.
Use the key in the key lock to open the gate to your left. Enter the cell and
pull down the wall switch. Go get a cut scene of the fire stopping by the wall
switch. Exit the dungeon for now. You will return here later. Go south and
stand jump over the small slope and follow the ramp back up to the room with
the water hole. Swim to the other side and jump the knife blades again. Use the
west wall switch to open the gate beside it. Pull down the east wall switch,
roll, and sprint to the west through the timed open gate. The gate closes
behind you.
Follow the tunnel to another lava pit. Stand jump
onto the right side of the first sloped column. Jump with a right curve to the
next sloped column. Jump straight to the next column and then into the tunnel
in the north wall. Go north and see a spike pit to the west. Go east and up the
ramp. Hop backwards up the ramp until the screen shakes. Sprint down the ramp
and into the entrance tunnel as a spike ball falls into the spike pit. Go east
and pull up into a tunnel. Run to the end and into a cave. Immediately run to
the right to avoid a spike ball. Stop there as other spike balls fall to the
south. Go south-east and hop into the south wall opening.
You enter a large room with a platform of spikes.
There is a small medipack on a west wall ledge.
Go up the south-west ramp and hop back as you shoot a knight.
Go to the south-west corner and go up the steps to the end. Pull down a wall
switch and get a cut scene of spikes dropping on the platform. Run down the
steps and shoot a knight on the route. Go onto
the platform and pick up the Silver Key. Go up
the south-east ramp and hop back as you shoot a knight.
Continue up the steps into a room. Go to the north wall and use the key in the
key lock. You get a cut scene of two large doors opening. Go back down the
steps to the platform with spikes. Enter the open gate in the south wall.
Follow the tunnel and get past a swinging blade.
Climb the ledges and get past two knife blades. Watch out for wall darts and
enter a tunnel. Go south and get through three sets of teeth doors. You get a
short camera view of a slope. Slide down the slope backwards and grab the end.
Shimmy to the right and pull up. A wraith starts
to follow you. Follow the tunnel and pull down the wall switch to open the gate.
Run forward and drop into water to extinguish the wraith.
You are in a dark room with four corner pools, and
closed gates. The pools contain nothing. Go south and get into the crawl space
in the south wall. Pick up flares and crawl
into a tunnel. To the west are many knife blades. Grab the ceiling and monkey
swing over the knife blades. Pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene of
large gates opening. Monkey swing back and a wraith
attacks. Crawl through the crawl space to return back to the dark room. Dive
into the nearest water to get rid of the wraith. Go east to enter the open
gates. Follow the corridor to a small room.
There is a large block structure against the east
wall. Pull down the wall switch in the north-east corner. You get a cut scene
of an underwater gate opening. Dive into the water pool and swim into the
tunnel in the north wall. Pull up into the room and see a fire at the wall
switch. Go east and pull down the wall switch in the corner. You get a cut
scene and the fire has stopped. Get past the three swinging blades and pull
down the safe wall switch. You get a cut scene of a trap door opening. That is
the exit for later.
Go to the south-west corner and climb the ladder.
You enter a room and see a closed gate and a moveable block to the north. Push
in the north moveable block #1 as far as possible. Turn to the west and push in
moveable block #2 as far as possible. Turn to the north and push in the north
moveable block #3 as far as possible.
Go east and pull back moveable block #4 from the north wall and push it
aside. Go to the south-east alcove and pull back moveable block #5 to the
north. Get behind moveable block #4 and follow the tunnel. Go west and past
moveable block #5. Pull back moveable block #1 back into the tunnel. Turn and
follow the route back to the entrance. Pull down the wall switch on the north
wall that was hidden behind moveable block #1.
Exit the room and loop around to the left and into
the open gate. Pick up the Castle Key from the
floor. Exit the alcove and climb down the wall ladder. Dive into the water and
swim back to the previous room. Pull up onto the large block structure at the
east wall. Pull up through the open trap door. There is a small medipack in the dark south-west corner. When
you pick it up a wraith attacks. Go back through
the trap door and get into the water to extinguish the wraith. Pull up through
the trap door again and climb the wall ladder. Go west up the slope and use the
floor lever. The large doors open to the south. Run and jump onto the central
platform and shoot three bats.
Run and jump to the east ledge. Grab the edge of
the open doorway and shimmy to the left. You will need full health for the
drop. Slide down and jump onto a ledge next to the lava trench. Run north and
jump into the north-west tunnel to avoid spike balls rolling behind you. When
the spike balls stop, jump around them and back onto the ledge. Go south-east
and pick up pistol ammo. You get a cut scene of
a gate opening in a dungeon. Return north and enter the north-east tunnel
again.
Go north and into a T-junction. Hop back to avoid a
rolling spike ball. Hop onto the east ramp and run back into the entrance
tunnel to avoid a second spike ball.
Hop onto the east ramp a little higher and run back into the entrance
tunnel to avoid a third spike ball. Go up the ramp and follow the tunnel. A
door opens as you approach. Enter the room and the door closes. Go west to
shoot a demon demigod and pick up Evil Seal 2 from the dead body. Go to the south-west
corner and pick up a small medipack. Get on the
west ledge and stand jump onto the slope. Crawl into the west crawl space. At
the end, drop into a room where you have been before.
You could go to the south-west to get back to the
dark room with the four pools. However,
you would miss a very useful secret. Go north and jump the two spike
pits and two swinging blades again. Jump the slopes again and run off the ledge
and into the east tunnel. Follow the tunnel to the open gate again. Enter the
south-west tunnel and return down the ramp to the dungeons. Go north and enter
the middle left open cell. Go into the corner for secret
#2 and pick up a revolver, small medipack, red
shotgun shells, and Uzi ammo. Exit and
go up the ramps and go to the timed wall switch at the east wall.
Go west through the timed open gate and into the
tunnel. Jump the slopes again and follow the tunnel to the cave. Go south into
the room with the platform of spikes. Go south through the open gate. Get past
the swing blade, the knife blades, and the teeth doors again. Slide down the
slope and grab the end. Shimmy to the right and pull up. Follow the tunnel back
to the water with the four pools. Go up the ramp and enter the open east gate.
Enter the room and climb the large block structure again. Pull up through the
trap door and climb the wall ladder again. Go west and follow the ramp and
corridor back to the top. Run and jump onto the central platform again.
Run and jump onto the west ledge. Use the Castle
Key in the key lock to open the doors. Go west and follow the corridor to a
large room with four large water pools. The pools contain nothing. Run up the
steps and go to the west wall. Pull down the wall switch and the gate opens in
the south wall. Notice a gem receptacle in the north wall. Follow the tunnel
and emerge onto a ledge over lava and swinging blades. Get past the blades and
save the game before a slope. Just slide down the slope and do not jump at the
end. You land on a ledge in front of a lava pool. Hop back and crouch as a
spike ball rolls over your head. Two bats and a wraith appear. Run and jump over the lava pool. Jump
into the north tunnel and enter a room. Dive into the
pool to get rid of the wraith. Pull up out of the pool and shoot the bats and
a knight.
Now return to the lava pool area and pick up a large medipack from the ledge. Return to the room
with the pool. Pick up red shotgun shells in
the north-east corner. Notice a gem under the knife blade in the south-west
corner. You can pick it up now but it will cost you a lot of health. Hop onto
the north ledge and follow the tunnel. You face a lava pit and blocks with fire
on the top. Stand jump to grab the first block at the east wall. Shimmy to the
left onto the other side. Get into the climbing position. Back flip, roll, and
grab the block behind you. Shimmy to the left and back flip to grab a west wall
block. Shimmy to the right and back flip and grab again. Shimmy to the right and back flip and grab
again. Shimmy to the left and pull up onto the corner of the block. Stand jump
to grab the edge of the north tunnel and pull up.
Follow the tunnel to enter the next room and shoot
a knight. Go to the north wall and save the
game. Pull down the left wall switch and get a cut scene of the knife blade
with the gem. If the knife blade is in a bad position, reload the game and try
again. To get back, stand jump onto the corner of the fire block. Shimmy around
to the other side and pull up. Stand jump to grab the next block. Shimmy around
to the other side and pull up. Stand jump to grab the next block. Shimmy to the
other side and pull up. Stand jump down to the ledge. Go south to the next room
and pick up the Gem of Eternity from the
corner. You get a cut scene of a gate opening. Return north and jump the fires
on the blocks again as before. You could make a return trip later to get the
gem but it requires more back tracking. I went back to pick up the gem now and
only needed a small back track.
Go to the north wall and pull down the right wall
switch. You get a cut scene of the water trenches near you and see a trap door
drop open. Jump into the west water trench and swim to the south end to pick up
the shovel blade. Get out and jump into the
east water trench. Swim south and into the open trap door. Follow the
underwater tunnel and pick up red shotgun shells.
Continue following the tunnel and pull up into a large cave area. Avoid the
fires and hop into the hole in the north-east corner of the cave. Pick up the shovel handle and exit the hole. Go to the south-west
and get red shotgun shells on top of the hill.
Go to the dark green area at the west wall that is to the left of the spike
trap. Combine the blade and handle to make a shovel. Stand at the middle of the
green square and face north. Use the shovel and a hole appears in front of you.
Hop into the hole and follow the crawl space. Go
south and take the damage from the knife blade. Follow the crawl space to the
end for secret #3 and the shotgun. Crawl through the knife blade again and
crawl into the west tunnel. At the end, stand up and pull up into an upper east
crawl space. Eventually crawl up a slope to the south and stand up. You could
make the return trip later to get the shotgun after you have stopped the blade
but it requires more back tracking. The damage caused by the knife blade is
small.
Go south and shoot a dog.
You see a crawl space with a fire to the south. Go to the south-west and drop
into a hole. Hop back and shoot a dog that
appears. Get into the hole and go through another crawl space. Go south and
jump over a pit. Go south and pull down the wall switch on the west wall. Run
north and jump over the pit as a spike ball drops behind you. Go south up the
ramp that the spike ball came from. Drop into a hole for secret #4 and pick up red
shotgun shells and a large medipack. Get
out of the hole and go north to the end. Crawl back into the previous room.
The fire is gone so you can crawl through the crawl
space in the south wall. Get past two knife blades and a swinging blade to
enter the next room. Go east and pull down the wall switch on the east wall.
Turn around and shoot three dogs. Enter the open
gate in the south wall. Go up the steps and shoot two
knights. Now use the floor lever near the room entrance. You get a cut
scene of a gate opening. Go south and out the open gate into the room with four
large pools.
Ignore the gem receptacle for now. Jump onto the
south ledge and enter the open gate. Follow the tunnel and shoot a dog. Save the game at the top of the slope. Slide down
the slope and the spike walls start to close in towards you. The spike wall
moves into two sections. Run east and you can run around and between the moving
wall sections and be safe when they go past. Go east and save the game in front
of another slope. Slide down another slope to stop at the bottom. Turn to the
left and hop back to grab the edge as a spike ball rolls past you. Or run down
the slope and run and jump onto a north-east corner block. Return to the ramp
and pick up two Uzi ammo. Jump into the tunnel
in the north-east corner. Follow the tunnel to a room. Shoot the dog and use the floor lever. You get a cut scene of
the gem receptacle and a block rising under the floor grate below the
receptacle. Exit through the opening in the west wall.
Follow the tunnel and pull down the wall switch to
open the gate. Enter the room with the four pools. Go up the east ramp again.
Get on the large block structure and pull up through the trap door. Climb the
ladder and go back up the ramps to the central platform. Enter the west doors
again and go up the west steps. Place the Gem of Eternity and a trap door opens
beneath your feet. You land on a block in a lava pit. Run and jump to grab the
south tunnel. Pull up and the gate opens at the other end. Enter the gate and
it closes behind you. Go east and shoot a demon demigod.
Pick up Evil Seal 1 from the dead body.
Get on the east slope and follow the east wall
crawl space. Crawl through but do not drop. Grab the edge and shimmy to the
left onto a climbable wall. Shimmy to the left and into a tunnel. Sprint
through the three knife blades and save the game in front of the wall switch.
Pull down the wall switch and get a cut scene of a knife blade in a tunnel.
This was for a secret. You got it earlier by just taking the damage. You have
saved much back tracking. Go back and grab the tunnel edge. Shimmy to the right
and you are on a climbable wall. Safety drop onto a ledge with lava trenches on
both sides. Avoid the fires and wall darts as you follow the ledge to the east.
Turn the corner and pull down the wall switch. The doors open to the north.
Jump back onto the central platform.
Run off any corner and you fall into a water pool
very far below. Pull up anywhere and go west. Place the two Evil seals and the
large gates open in the west wall. Go west and slide down the slope. Pick up a large medipack, red shotgun shells, and Uzi ammo from the corner floor. Pull down the wall
switch on the west wall and the gates open. Slide down the slope onto a
platform. The gates close behind you. It took most of the ammo to shoot the hammer demon. Use the
revolver, Uzi's, and finally the shotgun to kill it. When it dies, a green gem is left behind. Pick up the green gem and
the level ends.
