would like to thank P.D. Lambeth for informing me that the file was changed and
that the walkthrough was incomplete. The original file I used was Nautiqua.tr4
dated 03-feb-2008 with a size of 9,689,400 bytes. I downloaded the file again
recently and found the new file was Nautiqua.tr4 dated 15-feb-2008 with a size
of 10,962,405 bytes. Be sure to use the correct script.dat and german.dat files
also with the 15-feb-2008 date. In the new version, the author supplies a savegame
so that you do not have to play the game from the start. I will note the
differences in the two versions when they occur. [End note]
You start in a library type room. There is a closed
gate in the north wall. Run up the east stairs and shoot a vase for red shotgun shells. Continue up the stairs and onto
the upper balcony. Go into the south-west corner behind the statue and pick up flares. Go north and push the globe into the north
wall alcove. You get a cut scene of a column dropping. Safety drop to the floor
and go to the north-east corner. Pull back the globe onto the lowered column
position. Run up the stairs again and pull back the globe out of the north wall
alcove. Go east and see that the second globe has risen. Push the second globe
into the north wall alcove. Safety drop to the floor and see that a column has
dropped near the north-west corner.
Go there and pull up into the crawl space. Stand up
in a small room and pick up blue shotgun shells
and a shotgun from the pedestal. Go through the
doorway in the west wall. Go north a little and pull open the trap door on the
floor. You can see a room with water below it. Go north-west into another room
and be careful of the burning lava floor tiles. Stand in front of the snake
statue and pick up the crowbar sword (Brechstange). Two fire wraiths start to attack. Run back to the trap
door and drop into the water to get rid of the fire wraiths. Swim north and
pull up onto the block at the east wall. You can see a crawl space in the north
wall but the crawl space is blocked further inside.
Climb the east wall and pull up into a small room.
There is a large area to the north-east for later. Go to the north-west corner
and pull back the moveable block from the north wall. Enter the tunnel and
ignore the wall switch. Go around the corner and hop onto a block. Use the
crowbar to pry the Golden Star (Goldener Stern)
from the wall. Get down and pull down the wall switch before you exit back into
the room. Go to the north-east and enter a larger room. Go south and shoot a
vase at the east wall for blue shotgun shells.
Continue south and go behind a brass column at the west wall and pick up flares. Go south and hop onto the raised block. Pull
down the jump switch on the east wall and the gate opens below you. Go through
the gate and back into the starting room.
Go west and place the golden star in the receptacle
in the middle of the west wall. A door opens in the west wall to your left.
Follow the tunnel to a small room and pick up the Music
Scroll (Musikrolle) off the floor. Exit the room and turn towards the
south. Place the music scroll on the only empty music podium. You get a cut
scene of an underwater gate opening. Go north through the open gate and follow
the room back to the water hole. Now swim through the underwater crawl space in
the north wall. Follow the underwater tunnel through the open gate. Just pass
the gate, swim up and into an upper east wall alcove for blue shotgun shells. Swim down and continue swimming
north into a flooded room. You can surface at the water wheels for air. Swim to
the north-east corner and pick up a small medipack.
Then swim unto the north-west corner area. Swim west into a lower crawl space.
Follow to a flooded room and pick up red shotgun
shells. Swim up to surface and pull up into a large room.
You can see two large water wheels and a large
circular stone at the east wall. Go to the east wall and get into the corner to
the left of the circular stone. Go north and pick up a small
medipack off the floor. Go into the north corner and pull up into an
east wall crawl space. Continue and stand up in a small room. Go north to the
snake statue. You get secret #1 and pick up a Golden Skull (Laden) from the snake statue. Exit back
and return to the large room with the water wheels.
Hop onto the block supporting the south water
wheel. Run and jump over the water wheels and land in the south-east corner.
Push in the moveable block in the south wall twice. Go left to get behind the
block and pick up a large medipack. Push the
moveable block north once. Circle behind the moveable block and pull it back
once to the east. The block drops beside you. Pull up into the upper room and
pick up Music Scroll #1 from the pedestal. Drop
back into the lower room. Return towards the entrance and pull down a wall
switch in the west wall alcove. You get a cut scene of a block rising in the
large room with the water wheels. Go north to drop into the water and swim back
to the west as before to pull up into the room with the water wheels.
Go east behind the north water wheel. Climb the
south wall ladder to the top. Back flip and roll to grab the wall ladder behind
you. Shimmy to the left and around the corner. Back flip and roll to grab the
top of the raised column. Pull up and run and jump with no grab to land on the
large south-west balcony. Notice an opening in the south wall. Go to the
south-west corner. Stand with you right shoulder at the west wall and face
south. Jump up and grab the ceiling. Monkey swing into the opening in the south
wall and drop into a small room. Loop around to the left and into another
opening. Use the crowbar to pry the Golden Star
off the west wall. Do not drop into the large room but exit back to the small
room. You can shoot the vase in the west alcove and a horseman
appears. Shoot the horseman and pick up a small
medipack. Monkey swing back to the balcony.
Place the golden star in the receptacle and the
gate opens beside you. Follow the tunnel to enter the small room and pull down
the chain. You get a cut scene of a block dropping in the room with the water
wheels. Exit back to the balcony and safety drop onto the floor. Safety drop
into the hole and follow the tunnel to a large room. You can see a Neptune
statue and a snake statue. Pick up Music Scroll #2
from the snake statue in the middle of the room. You may need to stand at the
west side of the statue to pick up the item. Turn to the south and see a horseman. Shoot the horseman and the horse and pick up
the Horseman's Gem (Reiter Juwel). Place the
gem in the receptacle in the south-east wall alcove. A block rises in the east
wall alcove. Climb the block and pull up into the room with the water wheels.
Go behind the north water wheel again. Climb the
walls and back flip as before onto the raised block. Run and jump to the
south-west and onto the large balcony again. Place the two music scrolls and
the large circular stone rolls aside to reveal a sloping tunnel. The circular
stone also blocks the route to the secret that you got earlier. Safety drop to
the floor and go east. Run down the sloping tunnel and face closed large double
doors and a receptacle. Go north and pick up blue
shotgun shells near the west wall fountain. Now go east and down a
slope. You enter a room with a swinging chain and a rotating saw in a hole.
When you think it is safe, jump onto any slope and slide down. Grab the edge
and release to grab the edge of the floor below. Pull up into the room.
Go to the south-west corner and pick up a small medipack. Grab the pole and slide down through
another rotating saw. Back flip to the south and pick up red shotgun shells in the corner. Be careful of the
lava floor in the center of the room. Go into the west wall alcove and pick up
a Music Scroll. Return and carefully climb up
the pole again. Back flip into the upper room. Place the music scroll on the
podium and a block drops in the east wall. Enter the open doorway and see two
lava textures on the ceiling. These indicate that the floor underneath them is
deadly. Avoid them and safely cross the floor and enter the opening in the
south wall.
You enter a room with water underneath a
transparent floor. You can see sharks swimming underneath you. Go south through
the open doorway and enter the next room. Pull back a moveable block from the
middle of the west wall. Push the block aside to the south and enter the
opening. You overlook a room with a deadly lava floor and a large cross. Safety
drop onto the block with a snake statue just below you. Shoot a horseman before he pushes you into the lava floor.
Pull down the switch on the snake statue. A column rises to the west in front
of the cross. Pull up onto the entrance ledge. Run and jump to grab the raised
column. Pull up and use the crowbar to pry the Golden
Star off the cross.

Hop onto either cross sidepiece. Pull up to the top
of the cross and pull up into the room above you. Enter the tunnel in the north
wall and push a moveable block as far as possible. Go to the right side and
push the moveable block to the west once to reveal a crawl space with a hole.
Drop into the hole and follow the tunnel to a room with a Neptune statue. Place
the Golden Skull on the Neptune statue. The snake statue at the east wall
suddenly has skulls and lights appear on a rope. You cannot pick up the skulls
so just leave the room and crawl back through the hole.
Hop onto the west block and jump up to grab the
ceiling. Monkey swing to the west and over the lava floor. Safety drop onto the
safe floor. You are back near the closed large double doors. Place the golden
star in the receptacle and get a flyby of the water wheel room and of two large
balls dropping and rolling towards you. Since you do not regain control, I am
not sure if you are killed or that is the end of the level.

Hop onto either cross sidepiece. Pull up to the top
of the cross and pull up into the room above you. Enter the tunnel in the north
wall and push a moveable block as far as possible. The included author's
savegame is at this location. Go to the right side and push the moveable block
to the west once to reveal a crawl space with a hole. Drop into the hole and
follow the tunnel to a room with a Neptune statue. Place the Golden Skull on
the Neptune statue. The snake statue at the east wall suddenly has skulls and
lights appear on a rope. You get a cut scene of the snake statue near the lava
floor. The snake statue has a white sphere above it.
Return to the hole and drop back onto the top of
the cross. Run and jump back to the snake statue and reset the switch. The
block lowers at the base of the cross. Jump over the lava floor and pick up the
Guardian Key (Laden) from the lowered block.
Run and jump back to the snake statue and pull down the switch to raise the
block again. Pull up onto the upper ledge and jump back onto the block. Hop
onto either cross sidepiece. Pull up to the top of the cross and pull up into
the room above you again.
Notice a white sphere on the ceiling. Pull up
through the ceiling and into a higher room. Enter the doorway in the south wall
and notice a closed gate. Go south-east and place the Guardian Key in the
receptacle. You hear the gate open. Now enter the open gate and place the
Golden Star in the receptacle. You get a cut scene of the two large double
doors opening. Exit here and carefully drop back down into the room below.
Enter the tunnel in the north wall again. Hop onto
the west block and jump up to grab the ceiling. Monkey swing to the west and
over the lava floor. Safety drop onto the safe floor. You are back near the
open large double doors. Enter the doors and notice the two closed trap doors
on the floor. Loop around to the right. Climb the ladder to the top and shimmy
to the right to drop onto a ledge. Go behind the central column and onto the
east ledge to pick up red shotgun shells.
Return back onto the west ledge. Jump into the tunnel in the north wall. Shoot
a vase and pick up a small medipack. Push open the two blue doors.
Enter the next room and shoot a ninja. Go south into the next room and pull
down the chain. Notice a white sphere above the globe behind you. Push that
globe east and through the wall into a hidden alcove. Pick up the torch from the floor below the globe. Go
west and down the ramp and see that a block has dropped to create an opening
below the brass column with the hanging lamp. Drop the torch someplace close to
you. Get into that opening and pull down the timed wall switch. A timed fire
starts in the hanging lamp above you. Pick up the torch and run around to the
hanging lamp and light the torch. Carefully jump up there as the fire can
ignite you if you get too close to it. Then light both unlit wall torches on
the north and south wall. Also light the timed hanging lamp that has gone out.
The gate opens in the south wall. Enter the open gate and use the floor lever.
You get a cut scene of the trap doors opening back at the large blue doors.
Exit and go north to return back to the ladder.
Climb down the ladder to the doors again. Drop into the open trap doors. Go
west and pick up the laser sight (Laser). Run
to the north to avoid two rolling balls that drop from above behind you. Then
go south and jump up to grab the opening in the south-east corner. Pull up and
enter the dark room. Push the big button on the north wall. You get a cut scene
of a ninja and a rising block. Return to the earlier room to jump onto the
raised block and shoot the ninja. Run and jump
to the north column and pull down a jump switch. You get a cut scene of a block
dropping in the water below you.
Dive into the water and swim around to find the two
balls that dropped. Swim west over the two balls and into the north-west hole
from the cut scene. Pick up the crossbow (Armbrust) from the bottom of the hole and swim back out to surface.
Dive again and swim into either underwater crawl space in the east wall. Ignore
the turning water wheels. Swim to the end and pull up onto a ledge. Turn around
and shoot a crocodile in the water. You should notice a closed underwater gate
in the south-east corner of the water trench.
There are three slots in the east wall. Stand at
the water side of the ledge and look into the middle slot. Use the light of the
binoculars and you can see a hanging ball at the back of the slot. Use the
crossbow and laser sight to shoot that ball. Dive into the water and swim
through the open gate in the south-east corner. Swim east to pull up onto a
ledge. Use the floor lever and get a cut scene of an underwater block dropping.
Drop into the pit to the east of the ledge and pick up crossbow
poison ammo. You can see a shark on the other side of a window. Pull up
to the ledge and dive back into the water. Swim out the gate and swim north to
the opening with the lowered block from the cut scene.
Swim down, north, and then up to surface for air.
Pull up into a small room. Go to the north-east corner to pick up a small medipack. Then safety drop into the hole next
to you. Go north and a barred door bulges out by something behind it. Go
north-east for another barred door. Shoot the ninja
and pick up the Hand of Sirius (Laden) from the body. Place it in the receptacle on the east wall
to open the nearby gate. Enter the next room and safety drop into the hole in
the floor.
You land on a bridge next to a pedestal
with a scroll that you cannot pick up. There is a closed gate in the east wall.
There is an unlit wall torch on the west wall. Safety drop to the floor.
Approach the barred door in the east wall and a bull breaks out. Lure the bull to break the
wooden targets at the north and south sides of the room. Enter the room that
the bull came from and loop around to the left to pull down a wall switch. You
hear a gate open. Exit and go west to climb a ladder back up onto the bridge.
Notice that the wall torch is now lit. Go east and enter the open gate. Pick up
the torch from the
pedestal in the corner. Exit and go west to lit the torch on the lit wall
torch.
Go to the middle pedestal and set fire
to the scroll. You get a cut scene of the room and a moving fire on the floor.
A door opens in the east room and an earthquake happens. Go east into the room
and enter the open door. Run down the tunnel and the level ends.
