3 Secrets

Note: As there is no compass in this game, directions were a little difficult at times. I have added a room layout for the larger rooms explaining where everything is as soon as you enter the rooms. I have also added as many of the known bugs and illegal routes that I know of and have placed them in a note form within the walkthrough.

Lara begins this adventure by sliding down a slope into a small jungle type room above a fast flowing river.

Room Layout: There is a closed door with a keyhole to the left, and a pillar to the left of the door. Behind Lara there is the slope you arrived here by and a passage next to it. Start by turning around from the bottom of the slope and jumping into the passage to the right for a SMP. Note: The white tile at the end of the passage with the ÄON-Ticket banner on the wall is for the ÄON-Ticket version of the game. Nip back out of the passage and find some Flares ~ Shotgun Ammo just ahead of the slope. Now head to the pillar to the left of the closed door and pull up onto it. Take a running jump to the outer balcony ahead and pick up the LMP ~ Shotgun Ammo. Note: You might notice here that the wall behind the balcony is not solid. These walls can be found at various places in the levels and they are for the ÄON-Ticket version of the game so ignore them. Turn to face out over the room and take a running jump over to the tree branch ahead and pull up. Now take a running jump diagonally right to land on the small square ledge behind the pillar, and then walk to the edge of the ledge so that Lara is facing out over the river. Face diagonally right and stand jump forwards to land on the green ledges below. Turn around so that Lara is looking out over the river, and then look up to see a tree branch to grab. Now pull up and walk to the end of the branch, hop back once and take a running jump diagonally left to land on the temple balcony at the other side of the river. Walk around the balcony until you see a cheeky monkey holding the shotgun, and then approach him to activate a cut scene.

The monkey is not about to give up his prize easily and runs away before Lara can grab the much needed weapon from him. After the cut scene, walk right and stand at the edge of the balcony. Look down to see the cheeky monkey with a few of his primate friends and a tiger in the area below. There is also a small medipack on a balcony over to the right but you can't get that just yet. Do a safety drop down to the monkey and tiger area then quickly run into the passage to the right of the grey block. Light a flare and make your way to the room at the end of the passage.

Room Layout: In this new room there is a lever to the right and a dark passage to the right of the lever. There is also a slope ahead with a push block beyond it, and up on the slope there is a boulder. Using the lever will activate the boulder and it will begin to roll up and down the slope. Use the boulder to kill the tiger who has wandered in behind you, and then lure the cheeky monkey onto the slope to kill it. When he dies he will drop the shotgun. Use the lever again to stop the boulder, and then take the cheeky monkey's Shotgun. Now enter the dark passage to the right of the lever and grab the 2 x Shotgun Ammo from the floor. Return to the room and nip over the slope to the push block. There is a snake here but he didn't seem to be bothered by Lara's presence so I ignored him. Push the block left and place it at the end of the path. Pull up onto the block and face right. Jump and grab the hanging wall ladder above, and then pull up to the balcony above. Take the Flares from the left corner, and then go right for a LMP. Now return to ground and head back outside.

Room Layout: There is a grey pillar ahead, a closed door to the right, two push blocks diagonally to the right, another push block up in the wall to the right and another push block to the left of the closed door. The push block to the left of the closed door has a handle missing so you will not be able to move it yet. Go straight ahead to the grey pillar, and then walk around to the other side. There is a lever on the pillar with a wooden grate covering it. Shoot the grate with the shotgun, and then use the lever to open the door over by the push block; but don't go through yet. Go to the push blocks and move the first one under the push block in the wall. (There are two blue/grey tiles indicating where the push blocks have to be placed). Now place the second push block in front of the first push block. Climb up onto the push blocks and pull the push block in the wall out once. That's all you can do here for now, so make your way to the newly opened door and stop at the entrance.

Room Layout: Ahead of you is a pathway of collapsing tiles leading to the right, a safe alcove at the end of the path, a central hanging pillar and a shimmy gap behind the pillar. Run along the collapsing path to the right, and then just before the penultimate tile, jump to avoid a really fast collapsing tile and nip into the alcove to the right. There is a sleeping snake to the right in the alcove, but he didn't bother Lara in my game so I left him alone. From the alcove, turn and face out over the room. Look right of the hanging central pillar to see a shimmy gap in the far wall, and then take a running jump to the shimmy gap. Shimmy left to the end of the wall, and then shimmy left onto the next wall and pull up. Note: When you reach the end of the shimmy gap you will hear a strange noise. The noise is in fact the collapsing tile path re-building itself so that you use it again if need be. Up on the ledge there is another sleeping snake; but he seems quite docile so ignore him and go left to the end of the ledge. Use the "action" key on the push block in the wall and push it through twice. This is the push block you moved outside earlier.

Pull up onto the block, turn to face the upper outer balcony of the room then pull up for that SMP you saw when you first entered the area. Now turn and face out over the room. There is a central ledge ahead with a zip line on it. Jump over to the zip line ledge; but don't use the zip line yet!!! Go to the right side of the ledge and jump over to the outer balcony of the temple. Make your way left, and then go right around the balcony. At the end of the balcony, shoot out the wooden grate to the right, and then head to the end of the passage for the Old Key. Now leave the passage and head back outside. An eagle will now be waiting for you, so gun it down and make your way back to the zip line ledge. Use the "action" key at the zip line and Lara will slide down to the starting area of the level.

Use the Old Key to open the nearby door, and then head through and drop into the passage below. Crawl through the passage to the right and the kayak will be waiting there for you. Approach the kayak and Lara will get in. The kayak is a tad difficult to handle; especially getting out of it, but we will deal with that when we come to it. When you are in the kayak, use the "up" key to paddle forwards and head left out of the watery alcove. Make your way up the river; taking care not to bash into the rocks too much or Lara will lose health. There is also a shark lurking in the river, so be quick to get to the end of the river, and then take a right turn. (If you go left you will run over the top of a high waterfall and Lara will die). You will now be paddling against the river current, so keep the "up" key pressed at all times to fight your way up stream. Eventually you will see a hole in the wall ahead and this is where things become tricky. As soon as you approach the hole in the wall spikes will activate inside the hole; making it seemingly impossible for Lara to pass through the hole, and at the same time, the shark will be nipping at Lara. To get through the spiked hole you will need to roll the kayak, and this is done by using the "alt" key. Be sure to get as close as possible to the spiked hole, and also try to face the spikes head on. Use only the "alt" key for Lara to roll the kayak, and then she will float safely under the spikes. On the other side of the spikes you will see a small ledge at the wall ahead of you. Note: Most forum members and I had a few problems getting out of the kayak. Andre kindly informed me that he paddled directly towards the small ledge head on, Screenshot and then pressed the "ctrl" key for Lara to get out. If that fails, another thing to try is to paddle towards the small ledge head on, and then with the "up" key pressed move in on the ledge and press the "down" key. Lara will then flip out of the kayak onto the ledge. The kayak will follow behind her, but you will not be using this kayak again so don't worry about it being inactive now. If you are still having issues with getting out of the kayak, eRIC has kindly posted a save game in the stuck threads at www.trle.net When you are safely on the ledge, pick off that pesky shark and light a flare. Enter the dark passage at the back of the ledge and go up the stairs to the room above.

Room Layout: There are five levers to use in this room in order to open a door high in the temple. Two levers can be found near to the door you need to open, and the other three levers are on the roof of the temple. Start by heading left for 2 x Shotgun Ammo in the corner of the room, and then make your way to the other end of the room. Kill the tiger that sneaks up behind you, and then proceed left to the end of the room. There is some more Shotgun Ammo to the left and a green pillar at the end of the room. Stand at the front of the green pillar, pull up onto it, and then turn left and jump to the upper balcony of the temple. Another tiger will show up below so pick it off from here if you can. Walk to the end of the balcony, and then jump diagonally left to the tree branch. Nip up onto the highest part of the branch, and then face right. Take a long running jump to the green pillar at the far wall and pull up onto it. Face right and jump forwards onto the grey/green triangular ledge jutting out from the wall to your left. Now face right and take a running jump over to the temple balcony ahead. Face left, take the SMP from the corner of the balcony, and then grab the shimmy gap in the temple wall (it's just above where the small medipack was). Shimmy left as far as you can, drop off onto the next balcony and kill the sleeping snake. You must kill the snake even if it doesn't wake up because you need the room on the balcony to do a do a banana jump around to the next balcony. Use the space on the balcony to your advantage, and make a long running right curved banana jump around the wall to get to the balcony on the other side. Now face left and take a running jump over to the ledge above the entrance door. On the wall ahead of you is a ladder. Climb the ladder, and then climb to the right until the camera angle changes. This will show a ledge behind Lara, and you can just see a smaller triangular ledge below it to the right. It is the small triangular ledge you need to be aiming for. Climb about half way up the ladder, and then go as far right as you can. Back flip from the ladder to land on the small triangular ledge, and then turn around and nip up onto the temple balcony. Stop here and face right. Ahead of you is a spike path. Walk through the spikes to about half way, and then look left to see a push block in the wall. Push the block forwards three times and enter the room.

Room Layout: There are two pillars to the right, and on each pillar there is a lever that you will not be able to reach yet. These are levers 1 and 2. There is also a closed door to the left and the push block you pushed in from the spike passage. Move the push block under each of the levers, and then pull up and use them both. Behind the levers there is a hole in the wall. Nip up into the hole and drop down the other side. Note: There is a boulder sitting up on a ramp to the left, but it did not activate in my game. Go right and head to the end of the balcony. Beware here of falling debris. There is a collapsing tile floor ahead, and a small medipack on a ledge beyond. Jump the collapsing tile floor to retrieve the SMP, (this is where the boulder might possibly fall so take care) and then jump back to the balcony.

*Alternative route to the small medipack: Walk through the spike passage to about half way, and then look left to see a push block in the wall. Push the block through, or just leave it alone. Walk to the end of the spike path, drop down onto the collapsing tile floor ahead, and then quickly nip up to the right for the SMP. Now face the collapsing tile floor and jump over to the balcony diagonally right. Take care not to get flattened by the falling debris (or the boulder that is sitting on a ramp at the end of the balcony; if it decides to activate.) and then walk towards the boulder ramp. Pull up into the hole in the wall to the left of the boulder ramp, and then drop down into the room below.

Room Layout: There are two pillars in front of you, and both have a high lever on them which you can't reach yet. These are levers 1 and 2. Behind the pillars is the door you need to open, and to the left of the door in the adjoining wall there is a push block. Walk up to the closed door, turn left and walk towards the corner of the adjoining wall. Light a flare to see the push block in the wall, and then pull it out into the room. Place the push block under each of the levers on the pillars, and then use the two levers. Now nip up through the hole in the wall and return to the balcony outside*

From the balcony, stand with the wall hole behind Lara and walk forwards to the edge of the balcony. Jump over to the green ledges ahead, and then go right and to the end of the ledge. Jump over to the tall pillar in the corner of the room, and then walk forwards and pull up onto the pillar ahead. Quickly blast down the eagle that attacks, and then with the temple to your right, walk to the end of this small brown ledge and look ahead to see a slope. Hop back once, and then take a running jump to catch the slope. Pull up onto the slope, slide and jump to catch the next ledge ahead, and then pull up. There is another slope ahead. Stand on the back of the ledge, face the slope diagonally so that Lara doesn't over-jump the slope, and then jump to the slope. Bounce forwards and grab the green ledge ahead, and then pull up. Turn right and face the temple. Ahead you can see a ledge which is collapsible, and above it is a vine ladder. Take a running jump over to the collapsible ledge, grab it and then shimmy left until the vine ladder is above Lara. Now pull up and quickly run forwards and grab the vine ladder before the ledge crumbles beneath you. Climb up the vine ladder and make your way around the walls to the right until you can not go any further. This is a long climb and there are seven walls to scale. On the final wall, shimmy right as far as you can, and then climb to the top of the wall and pull up onto the temple roof. Turn left, nip down onto the roof top, and then go left down the path. Kill the snake that wakes up to greet you, and then look on the wall to your right for levers 3 and 4. Use the levers and then make your way back up the path to the end. Go left to find lever 5 on the wall to your left, and use it to open the door back in the two levers room. Now to get down again! With the lever behind Lara, walk to the edge of the balcony and then turn and hang drop from the edge. Drop down and Lara will hit a sloped wall on the temple and slide to a safe ledge below. With the temple to you right, walk along to the end of the green path; but don't go around the corner. Wait at the corner of the path for a tiger to attack, and then gun it down. Still in this place, stand facing the temple and hang drop to a safe ledge below. You arrive back at the boulder ramp area. Go back through the hole in the wall and drop down into the two lever room. You can now enter the newly opened door.

As soon as you enter the new room the door will close behind you. Head straight on to the next room, and this is when things get a little bit weird.

Room Layout: There is a closed door ahead, a button and wall code on the wall to the left and another button and wall code on the wall to the right. There is also a face tile on the central floor with a note on it. First pick up the Note, select it in your inventory and read it. There's a map on the left, and some rather odd looking codes on the right. Not to worry, all will become clear soon. Go to the buttons on the walls and use the "action" key. Lara will look at a code that's inside the wall. The wall code consists of blocks with six dots on each block. The blocks are then divided into sets. Let's use the left wall code first. 4 blocks, 7 blocks, 2 blocks, 4 blocks. This means the code contains a 4 letter word, a 7 letter word, a 2 letter word, and another 4 letter word. While you are still in the wall code view, select the note from your inventory. There are the blocks you see in the wall code, and each block on the note is allocated a letter of the alphabet. Match the letters on the note blocks with the blocks on the wall code to reveal the hidden message. The left wall message is "Draw Weapons On Face". The right wall message (which appears to be irrelevant) reads "In This Cave We Have Lived". Now you need to use this message to open the door. Note: Some players had difficulty getting this door to open. I am going to write what worked for me, but please refer to the stuck threads at  www.trle.net  for more information if your door fails to open. Go to the left wall code and read it. Select the note from your inventory and then close the inventory and wait for Lara to step back from the wall panel. Run to the face tile on the central floor (you will know if this has been successful because Lara will look at the door) and draw your shotgun. The door will open and Lara can make her way through to the next room.

Room Layout: There is a closed door ahead, a button and wall code on the right wall and another button and wall code on the left wall. There is also a central raised path. In this room we have the same puzzle to tackle, only this time it seems much easier. Read both panels if you wish. The right wall code deciphers as "Those With Courage Those With Hope" and the left panel deciphers as "Go The Path New Doors Will Open". This is the message you need and it's telling you to follow a path. Well the raised central path in the room seems like a good start. Go onto the raised central path and run around it until the door opens; but do not step down onto the lower floor or the door will close again. Now head through the door and into the next room. 

You are now in a tall pillar room. Go left and make your way to the end of the room. Pick up the Shotgun Ammo to the left, and then head to the other side of the room for a SMP. Return to the spot where you picked up the shotgun ammo and pull up onto the top of the green pillar nearby. Walk to the pillar ahead and grab the shimmy gap on it.  Shimmy around the pillar to the other side, and then drop off and walk to the end of the ledge. Jump to the pillar ahead, and then jump onto the slope that is diagonally to your left and slide down. Pick up the Flares at your feet, and then jump out of the hole and return to the first green pillar. Make your way over the pillars and ledges like you did before to get back to the slope, but this time don't slide off the end of the slope. Jump onto the slope, slide a short way and then jump to grab a ladder on the wall ahead. Climb to the top of the ladder, and then climb left around the wall and drop off onto the ledge. There is a ceiling ladder above you now, so grab it and make your way to the other end. Drop off onto the ledge at the end of the ceiling ladder, and then crawl through to the end of the crawl space ahead. Drop down to the lower ledge, and then jump to the pillar at the end of the room. Turn left and jump to the next pillar ahead, and then turn left and jump to the central pillar. Now take a running jump towards the tall pillar ahead and grab the shimmy gap on the pillar. Shimmy around to the other side of the pillar, and then drop to a slope below you. Immediately slide and back flip with a turn to catch the pillar behind you, and then climb up the pillar to about half way. Back flip with a turn to grab a higher ladder on the previous pillar, and then climb to the top of the pillar. Climb around to the right and drop off from the pillar. To the left of you there is a gap in the lattice fence giving you access to an outer ledge on the ether side of the room; but don't go there just yet. Light a flare and enter the dark passage to your left. At the end of the passage, go right and find Secret 1 ~ Stone Dragon. Now return to the gap in the lattice fence and jump over to the ledge on the other side of the room. Follow the ledge to the left, and at the end go right and a door will open ahead of you. Go through the door and Lara will enter a maze.

You can either check the left part of the note in your inventory for the way through the maze, or you can follow my instructions. Go forwards and then turn left into the next passage. Walk to the end of this passage and pick up the 2 x Flares. Go left and make your way to the end of this passage until you can turn right. You can see a pink tint at the end in the passage ahead. Make your way to the pink tinted area, and then turn right into the pink passage. Make your way to the end of this passage until you can take a left turn into a small room, and then head straight on through the room to the far wall. The dark texture on the wall is a ladder. Climb up and pull out into the room above.

Room Layout: There is a spring board to your left, a tall pillar ahead of the spring board, and a lever up inside the pillar. To the left of the pillar there is a button and wall code on the wall and in the centre of the room there is a trapped path. As soon as you pull up from the ladder into the room a komodo dragon will attack, so draw your shotgun immediately and blow the vicious creature away. Light a flare and walk to the left. You will see a spring board on the floor in front of a tall pillar. Stand behind the spring board so that Lara is facing the pillar, and then run forwards onto the spring board, press the "forwards" and "action" keys and Lara will spring to an alcove up in the pillar and grab its edge. Pull up into the alcove and use the lever to the right to activate a floor at the end of the room. Now drop to ground safely and head to the wall to the left of the pillar and study the wall panel to decipher the code. The message reads "Who Rests, Which Rusts". Leave the wall panel and head to the central part of the room; but do not step onto the wide brown path because it is trapped and as soon as Lara steps on it she will turn to rust. The secret to passing over the path is in the message, and Lara must not rest while on the path; so you will be using the "sprint" key at this point. Stand Lara a few steps away from the start of the path, and then run forwards. As soon as Lara is about to run onto the path, hit the "sprint" key and make a hasty dash along the path to the end. Keep running until Lara is on the safe blue tiled floor you raised with the lever earlier, and then walk through the spikes ahead. There is another trapped path here, but this time Lara will have to negotiate two wall blades while sprinting to reach the end of the path. At the end of the path, drop down into the hole and make your way through the tunnel beneath the path for a LMP ~ Shotgun Ammo. Now return to the start of the tunnel and pull up into the passage above. Head forwards and Lara will enter a new room.

Room Layout: There is a central pool with a stone hand holding a ball, a closed door with two keyholes, and another code panel on the wall opposite the closed doors. There is also a passage in the left wall and a passage in the right wall. First go read the wall panel. It deciphers as "Open A Door, A Cold God Waits". Now take your pick with the wall passages. Each passage leads to a key; both of which you need to open the door in the room. It's up to you which passage you take first, but you must return with a key from each area.

Right Wall Passage: Light a flare and enter the passage. Nip up onto the block, and then walk forwards a short way and turn left. There is channel with a deadly floor ahead and a shimmy gap in the wall to your left. Shimmy along the wall until you are over the deadly channel, and then drop off into a dark passage. Make your way through the passage until you hear a door close behind you, and then continue on until you reach a large room with a huge statue.

Room Layout: To the right there is a movable pillar, and just ahead of that there is a blue face tile on the floor. To the left there are two more movable pillars up on a ledge, and at the far end of the room there is a push block to the left of the statue. Also to the left of the statue there is a small ledge sticking out of the wall. First go to the movable pillar to the right and move it onto the blue face tile. This will create a ledge high up in the room for you to use later. Now go to the movable pillars on the other side of the room and nip around to the back of the left one. Pull the pillar back once, and then go around to the front of the pillars and move the second pillar in front of the other pillar. This has created a double ledge high in the room to allow you to move a pillar higher up in the room.

Now go to towards the statue and find the push block at the wall to your left. Face the wall, pull the block out three times, and then push it once towards the statue. Pull up onto the block, face the wall and take a running jump to the alcove ahead. Now face diagonally right towards the statue. You can just see a small ledge sticking out of the wall to the left of the statue. Take a running jump with a left curve to land on the small ledge, and then pull up to the higher ledge ahead. Face right and climb up onto the statue. Turn around and take a running jump to grab the top of the outer wall ahead and pull up. Go left along the ledge, and at the end pick up the Flares and Shotgun Ammo. Now drop down one level and walk towards the movable pillar ahead. Pull the pillar back twice so it's sitting on the black tile, and then pull back up to the previous ledge. You now need to make a right curved running jump around the pillar and land on the ledge behind it. When that has been successful, look diagonally left and see the ledge you made with the movable pillars below, and take a running jump to land on it. To your right is another movable pillar. Pull it out once to create a ledge below a lever above you, and then head to the end of the green ledge. There is a shimmy gap in the wall to your left. Jump to grab it and shimmy all the way around to the other side. Continue to shimmy left until Lara is on a vine ladder, and then climb up. When you are near to the top of the vine ladder, shimmy left and drop off onto the ledge. Walk to the end of the ledge, draw your shotgun and shoot the komodo dragon that's lurking over on the ledge ahead. Now stand at the end of the ledge and step back once. Take a standing jump ahead so that Lara lands on a slope, and then immediately jump again to land on the ledge the komodo dragon was on.

Run to the end of the ledge and spot the vine ladder leading up the wall ahead. Climb the vine ladder to the top, and then make your way forwards until you can take a left turn around the back of the statue. Continue on to the end of this path, and then nip down to a lower ledge. There is a now a long slope leading down to the left. Pick up the SMP, and then slide down the slope to a lower ledge. Run ahead to the stone hand decoration at the end of the ledge, and then hop back twice and take a running jump to clear the stone hand and land on the pillar ledge you created earlier. Now take a running jump to the blue tinted ledge ahead and walk to the end. Do a safety drop down to the ledge below and Lara will land in front of a lever. There is a burning ledge behind Lara and the lever will extinguish the flames. When the ledge is safe, pull up onto it and go to the code panel on the wall between the two wall torches. Read the code panel and the message tells you that "Light Is The key". Now walk to the slope at the end of this ledge, and stand with Lara's left side to the slope. Take a few steps to the right, side flip onto the slope and keep the "action" key pressed so that Lara back flips from the slope to the slope behind her, and then springs forwards to grab an upper ledge. Pull up onto the ledge and face right. Take a running jump to grab the ledge above the fire ledge and pull up. Walk right, stand on the first grey/white tile on the right and light a flare. As the message says, "Light Is The Key" and the Old Temple Key will now appear in the lower right hand side of your screen, and then miraculously make its way into Lara's backpack Screenshot

Now walk to the left of the ledge, and take a running jump over to the ledge on the outer wall. Face right, jump to grab the small ledge above and pull up. Walk to the pillar ahead and pull up to the top of it. Head forwards to the end of the following ledge, and then take a running jump diagonally right to land on the silver triangular ledge on the head of the statue. Turn left so that Lara is facing the statue, and then side flip to the right to land on the sloped face of the statue. Slide and grab the top of the statue's mouth, and then drop and grab the lower jaw and pull up inside the mouth. Crawl through the mouth to near the end. There is a hole to the right with a lever inside it. Drop down into the hole and use the lever inside to open the door in the passage you arrived here by, and then pull out of the hole and exit via the gap at the back of the mouth.

You will now be facing a hole in the wall; but do not go down there yet. Turn and stand against the back of the statue's head, and then jump to grab the upper part of the head. Shimmy left as far as you can, and then pull up onto the head. Stand jump forwards onto the higher part of the head, and then pull up onto the top of the head. Walk to the front of the head and stand on the left corner point. Hop back twice and take a standing jump forwards to land on a lower triangular ledge on the face of the statue. Now stand at the very point of the triangular ledge and stand jump over and down to the long outer ledge at the far wall. Make your way along this ledge to the end and pick up the 2nd Secret ~ Gold Dragon. Return to the beginning of the ledge and take a running jump back to the triangular ledge on the statue's face. Side flip left onto the face, and then slide to grab the top of the statue's mouth. Drop and grab the lower jaw of the statue, and then make your way inside the mouth again. Crawl to the end of the mouth and exit via the gap in the back of the mouth.

Now enter the dark passage ahead and go left. Save your game and slide down the slope ahead. Lara will then land on a second slope and will be heading towards two wall blades. Jump to avoid the wall blades and slide back to ground level. Lara will land at the back of the two movable pillars. Exit the room and head back through the passage to the deadly floor channel. Like you did before, use the shimmy gap in the wall to clear the deadly channel, and then return to the two keyhole room.

Left Wall Passage: As you enter the passage you will see a boulder sitting up in the wall at the end, and a crawl space low in the wall to the right. The boulder won't drop until you have completed the key task, so ignore it and head through the crawl space. At the end of the crawl space, nip down onto the wide branch outside and walk to the end of it. In the wall ahead there is a shimmy gap. Grab the shimmy gap and make your way to the right, and then go around the corner until Lara is hanging on a vine ladder. Back flip with a turn to land on a ledge behind you, and then turn and stand jump to the upper ledge ahead. Walk to the end of the ledge and face right. There is a branch textured ledge over the river ahead. Take a running jump to land on the ledge, and then face left and take a running jump to the ledge with a zip line on it. Grab the zip line, and then slide and jump off at the entrance to the passage below to avoid a spike trap further up in the passage. To your right there is a closed door in the wall that you will open shortly, but for now, draw your shotgun and walk slowly through the spikes towards the room ahead. As you approach the room some debris will fall and a komodo dragon will appear, so shoot the enemy and step into the room.

Lara will point her shotgun at a sleeping snake, but there is no need to waste ammo on him. Go left and pick up the Shotgun Ammo, and then use the lever on the wall to your left to raise a lattice fence in the river. Return to the spike passage outside and the door in the wall (left) has now opened revealing a crawl space. Enter the crawl space, and then drop to the tiny watery room below to find a second kayak.

Wade towards the left side of the kayak and Lara will get in. There is a rather strange animation here as the kayak appears to float off without Lara, but let the animation finish and she will in fact be in the kayak. Now paddle the kayak to the left and make your way to the lattice wall at the end of the river. Just before you reach the lattice wall, go left and make your way to the end of this final watery passage. To get out of the kayak, paddle straight towards the ledge ahead, and then continue to press the "up" key until the kayak mounts the ledge. Lara should then get out of the kayak and will be standing in the entrance to a new room.

There's not much to do here. Just gun down the komodo dragon and pick up the Hand Grip from the back of the room. Turn around and face the entrance to the room, and then look on the right side of the doorway for a vine ladder. Use the ladder to climb to the top of the room, and then pull up onto the ledge above. Go left until you see an open gap in the wall to your right, and then drop down through the gap. You will find yourself back in the rolling ball room at the start of the level.

Head outside to the push blocks and use the Hand Grip on the push block to the right. A cut scene will kick in showing Lara pulling the block away from the wall, and the upper temple will fall. Note: Sometimes this cut scene did not show up for me and I had a black screen. If this happens, wait for the cut scene to end and you should be back in-game. If not, then re-load and do the scene again.

With the temple now in ruins, Lara has to make her way to the top. After she has recovered from the falling debris, drop down to ground level and make your way to the entrance of the passage that led to the rolling boulder room. You can't enter here now but you can pull up onto a fallen wall that is lying in front of the passage, and on the wall ahead is a dark green texture. Nip onto the ledge in front of the dark green texture, stand at the highest point and pull up to the balcony above. Turn left and head to the end of the balcony, and then face left and stand jump to the top of the grey rock ahead. Now stand jump diagonally right to land on the top of the green wall, and then nip down to the balcony below. (Take care not to fall into the watery pit beyond the balcony as I found no way out of there).

Go left along the balcony to the push block at the end and pull the block back twice. Jump onto the top of the push block and face right. Take a running jump to grab the central ledge, and then pull up. In the middle of the ledge you will find the Old Key. Now use the lever on the block nearby to open a door behind the push block, and then jump back to the push block balcony. Make your way over the push block to the other side and head to the end of the balcony. Go left into the passage, and then head right until you are in a dark passage. Go through the passage, shoot out the wooden barrier that is blocking your way, and then walk to the end of the passage.

Save your game here or it is possible you will miss the next secret. Turn around and hang drop from the passage, and then drop and grab the edge of a passage in the wall below you. Pull up into the passage and head to the end where you will find a lever to use. After using the lever, a cut scene will kick in showing you the stone hand in the two keyhole room. The ball in the stone hand will roll away and reveal the final secret. Return to the end of the passage and make sure you are on full health. This next part is quite tricky even if you are on full health. Lara must land in the deepest part of the pool below or she will die from the fall. I also did not find a way to make a safety drop, so this is how I did it. Face the hole and side step right until Lara is on the corner of the tile. Now face diagonally left and walk off the edge and drop down the hole. Keep the left key pressed as Lara falls and she should land in the deepest part of the pool below.

You are now back in the two keyhole room. First collect the 3rd secret ~ Jade Dragon from the stone hand, and then use the two keys at the double doors. The doors will open and Lara can now enter the final room.

Room Layout: There is a spring board to the right with a jump switch above it, another spring board with a jump switch above it at the far end of the room, and closed double doors. There is also a slope leading up to the right of the closed doors which you will use later. Stand in front of the spring board (it does not matter which one you use first) and run onto it keeping the "forwards" and "action" keys pressed. Lara will spring forwards, grab the jump switch and pull it down. When both jump switches have been used the doors will open at the end of the room. Run through the newly opened doors and slide down to exit the level. You will get a statistics screen appear. To exit the statistics screen and continue on to level 2, hit the "Esc" key.     

 

Level Two ~ Wildpfad

3 Secrets

Note: There are a few bugs and illegal routes in this level. If you follow this walkthrough correctly you should be ok, but if you find yourself stuck, lost, confused or missing keys then it is likely you have hit a bug or taken a wrong route. My only advice is to save in different slots throughout this level.

Lara begins the level by sliding down into a long valley. Ahead is a spike pit, so jump over it and let the adventure begin. To the left is a small cave, but there is nothing to do inside, so move on ahead and make your way along the path until you come to tall grass field with a cute giraffe grazing on the leafy trees. The giraffes will not bother Lara unless they are startled. Then they will stomp around but do not seem to harm Lara, so hopefully you will not need to kill them. Stop before the grass field and load up your shotgun before entering it. Keep right; so as not to startle the giraffe, and take down the two tigers that attack. At the end of the grass field there is a rock with a stick on top, and attached to the stick is a ticket. Nip up onto the rock and take a look at the ticket. A short cut scene will show you the ticket, which says "Aurora". Drop down and walk to the edge of the path so that Lara is looking down into a lower part of the valley.

There are three boulders sitting up in the rocks across the valley and a long log lying ahead of Lara. Each route past the log will trigger a boulder and it's up to you which route you take, but I chose to jump to the top of the log and trigged the central boulder; which will roll in front of the log and leave Lara quite safe. Then jump from the log to the area below the boulders and continue on up through the valley until you come to another tall grass field. In the field there are two pillars and another grazing giraffe. Go left of the field and make your way along the outer rock path until a tiger appears, and then gun down the tiger and move on. Ahead is an elephant and he seems to be quite erratic, but ignore him for now and stop when you are just past the giraffe and two pillars. Look right to see a closed door up in the rocks above the tall grass field, and notice the double black cables running down from the door. Follow the cables along and see that they end in an alcove up in the rocks to your left. Inside the alcove is a jump switch. Use the jump switch to open the door, and then go back to the two pillars. Jump the two pillars, and then jump diagonally left to the rocks. Turn left and stand jump to the higher rock and pull up. Make your way along the rocky ledge to the newly opened door and carefully drop into the new room.  

There are four boulders and a passage at the far end of the room. Keeping to the right side of the room, step forwards to trigger each boulder and make it safely to the passage. Now light a flare and slide down into the passage. Head on through the passage; jumping two spike trapped holes as you go, and then drop down into a lower passage at the end. Crawl through the passage ahead and find yourself in a spike trapped trench, and in the middle of the spikes you can pick up the 4th Secret ~ Jade Dragon. Now crawl ahead and pull up to the right. You are now back at the start of the level and will have to make your way back to where the erratic elephant was.

Back at the elephant area, it is possible to get past the elephant without killing it but if it does manage to get near to Lara he will cause damage. Try to be kind, keep a safe distance and make it down to the small water pool ahead without killing the beast. Down in the pool there is a giraffe peacefully drinking. Try not to scare him but if you do he will not harm Lara and will eventually calm down when you move away from him. Across the pool there is a tent. Enter the tent for a SMP, and then head on forwards until you come to a deep pit. Ignore the pit for now; but remember this place because you will be back here later, and make your way left of the pit. Run along the rocky path and kill the tiger that shows up. At the end of the rocky path you will come to a fence with closed gates. Pull up on the wall to your left, and then head right along the path until you come to a box with a block behind it. Climb onto the block and jump over the fence into the second section of the valley. If you look at the gates in the fence you will see a red lock and a green lock. You will need both keys to open the gate and you will pick them up later. So head on up the track and stop when you reach another tall grass field with a camp and waterfall beyond it.

Note: It is now imperative that you do things in the correct manner from here or you could end up stuck. If you proceed through the grass field you may not get a vital cut scene of Lara talking to a guy, and certain animations will not trigger, so follow the correct path to ensure things work the way they should.

In the tall grass field you will see a brown slope to the right. Go up onto the slope and walk to the end. You will get a shot of a guy standing at a machine gun at the camp. Drop down to the right of the slope and head up the valley towards the area where the guy is. Keep to the right and close to the edge of the outer walls. The guy may take a few shots at Lara but ignore him and keep heading forwards until you are almost at the end of the path. Now look left to see a route between two fences and make your way towards the guy. When Lara comes to the end of this short path a cut scene will kick in, and Lara will hold a conversation with the guy.....

Lara: DON’T SHOOT.
Man: Phew! You're human.
Lara: What do you mean by that?
Man: Well, you’re sneaking up like a tiger.
Lara: How should I know that someone is standing around in the forest with a machine gun in his hand?
Man: It’s O.K. girl. Well now that you’re here, you can help me prevent the plague from spreading throughout the valley.
Lara: What plague?
Man: First things first. Please let us swap places first.

The guy will now sit down by the machine gun. There are two guns. The gun on the left is a rocket launcher that you will use later on. For now though, you need to take control of the machine gun that the guy was using. Walk up to the machine gun and use the "action" key to take control. Another cut scene will kick in and the conversation between Lara and the guy will continue.....

Lara: Well! What are you doing here?
Man: The tigers of the jungle went mad when someone destroyed the temple.
Lara: Oh! The Temple... oh well!!! Such old historic places collapse from time to time.
Man: Yes...well... apart from that... What’s your name?
Lara: Lara

All of a sudden panic sets in, and another cut scene will show elephants and tigers bursting through the valley towards the camp.....

Man: Here we go! Let me operate the machine gun, Lara!
Lara: (screams in order to drown out the machine gun fire) Don’t be afraid! I’ll do that!
Man: Hey, HEY!

Sadly you will have to gun all of the animals down as they plough over the tall grass field ahead, and be quick about it too. Try not to go too mad with the machine gun as it broke a couple of times in my game. There is also had an odd game bug here in which Lara can fall off the gun platform if an elephant or tiger gets too close to her. She will then proceed to shoot the gun from ground level. If this happens, continue to fire and you should be able to complete the task. When the carnage is over, another cut scene will kick in and the guy will push Lara from the machine gun. Lara is thrown to the ground and her shotgun falls nearby. Angry words are then exchanged between Lara and the guy.....

Man: YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON STANDBY! THAT WAS IRRESPONSIBLE!!!
Lara: (screams back) I HAVE HELPED YOU! NOW IT’S YOUR TURN!
Man: What do you want me to do I do? Clean your shoes?
Lara: The quad, I need the quad bike.
Man: Sure! Anything else I can do for you?
Lara: (viciously) I URGENTLY need the quad!!!
Man: No, girl! Don’t piss me off!
Lara: Do I need to make myself clearer?

You now need to get two keys from this guy. The red key to the gates that separate the two valley areas (you will get this key first) and the rocket launcher key. First pick up your shotgun, and then visit the tents to stock up on Shotgun Ammo. The shotgun ammo is a replenishing supply, so if you run out just nip back in the tents for some more. Also, in the tent behind the rocket launcher you will find the Green Key. Now chase the guy and shoot him until he falls and drops the Red Key. When you take the Red Key the guy will revive, so shoot him down again and take the Rocket Ignition Key that he drops. Note: When I first played this part I was able to use the quad bike too early and ended up getting into all sorts of difficulties, but the last two times I have played I was not able to use the quad bike. The latter is the correct way, so do not go messing with the quad bike yet.

You now need to blow away some rocks which will allow you access to a temple high up in the hills, but first you need to take a detour to open a door to the next secret. Note: It is best to do this now, or you can do this when you return from the temple because I was unable to pass the tent area once I had blown out the walls beneath the temple and visited there to see if I had accomplished the task properly. When I tried to return to the tent area I was shot at by an invisible guy in the tall grass, and if I tried to pass the tents my game was over.

First stock up with shotgun ammo from the tents, and then leave the camp and make your way to the waterfall behind the tents. Go right of the waterfall and climb up behind the two grey boxes to the upper ledge. Turn right and pull up to a higher ledge. Walk ahead on the narrow ledge, and then make your way right. At the end of this narrow ledge, jump over to the left of the slanted rock and make your way to the door in the wall to your left. Enter the door and pull up to the higher ledge ahead. Wait for a komodo dragon to come down from the upper ledge to your right and gun it down. Pull up carefully to the ledge where the komodo dragon came from, and then nip back down to avoid some falling debris. When the coast is clear, climb back up the ledge and go straight ahead to the far wall of the cave. There is a jump switch on the right side of the wall which will open a door by the deep pit back in the first area of the valley. Now make your way back to the camp by the waterfall, and take down the eagle that is lurking by the camp.

Go to the rocket launcher (the gun left of the first gun you used) and SAVE YOUR GAME!!! This is vitally important as you may have to re-load your game due to a glitch. It is possible that some of the walls do not fall away, leaving Lara unable to climb to the temple. If this happens then re-load your game and use the rocket launcher again. Do not save again until you are sure the task is complete. Go to the rocket launcher and use the "action" key. Lara will select the Rocket Launcher Ignition Key from the inventory and use the weapon. Point the rocket launcher diagonally right towards the walls beneath the temple Screenshot and fire. Use one rocket at a time and wait for each rocket to explode on the walls before firing again. If you fire too quickly the rocket launcher can break, or it can even explode and kill Lara. Keep firing rockets towards the walls until Lara leaves the rocket launcher. This will indicate that the task is complete; but this is not always the case, so to be sure you have broken all of the necessary walls you will have to go over to the walls and take a look. Note: It was not possible for me to go back to the rocket launcher once Lara had visited the area beneath the temple because an invisible guy was shooting from the tall grass, and eventually killed Lara no matter what. If you find the walls are not completely removed you may have to re-load in order to use the rocket launcher again. Always check the walls are totally removed before saving your game or you will be stuck.

From the rocket launcher, make your way diagonally right over the tall grass field to the corner of the walls beneath the temple and climb up the pillar behind the tree. Face right, pull up to the higher pillar ahead and then face diagonally right and jump over to the ledge ahead. Face left and pull up to the higher pillar, and then face right and pull up to the next higher ledge. Now face diagonally left and stand jump to grab the next higher ledge. Pull up, walk forwards a short way, and then face left and pull up to the next higher ledge. Jump forwards to the higher path ahead then slide down to the right. Lara is now at the temple.

Go straight ahead to the temple wall. The dark textured area on the wall is a ladder. Climb to the top, pull up inside the temple and stop at the entrance. There is a spring board ahead with two pillars behind it; but do not use the spring board yet. Go behind the furthest pillar to find the 5th Secret ~ Stone Dragon, and then return to the spring board. Stand facing the spring board with the pillar behind it, and then step onto the spring board. Keep the "forwards" key pressed and Lara will land on a second spring board on the next pillar. Spring up from this final pillar with the "forwards" and "action" keys pressed and Lara will grab a ledge above. Shimmy right until you can pull up onto the ledge, and then shoot the waiting eagle.

Pick up the 3 x Shotgun Ammo from the ground nearby, and then make your way around the temple. Save your game before taking the second corner as a tricky task lies ahead. As soon as you pass the second corner of the temple a cut scene will kick in showing you the bad guy at the rocket launcher. He shoots a rocket at the temple causing it to tilt, and Lara begins to slide forwards. It is at this point you need to jump forwards, but, either of two things can happen here. 1/ Lara will simply land on the ground in front of the bad guy who is waiting at the base of the temple. 2/ Lara will land on a block ledge inside the temple.

1/ If you land in front of the bad guy, simply gun him down. He will leave a Key, but when you pick it up it will turn into a Passport; neither of which will show up in your inventory. However, taking the Key/Passport pickup gives Lara permission to use the quad bike. If you did things this way then follow the walkthrough from here.

2/ If you land inside the temple then this is a much harder task. Lara will land on a block ledge and everything is in slow motion. As soon as you land on the first ledge, walk forwards carefully to avoid the falling debris, and then step back so that Lara is standing on the back of the ledge. Hit the "look" key to quit the camera view, and then stand jump down to the lower ledge. Face right and stand jump to the next ledge with the fallen debris on it, and then stand jump forwards to the next lower ledge. Ignore the lower ledge ahead, face right and walk to the edge of the ledge. Stand jump down to the next lower ledge, then turn around and walk to the left corner of the ledge. Stand jump down to the next lower ledge and then turn around and stand at he back of the ledge. Now stand jump down to the next lower ledge and Lara will slide out of the temple and arrive outside in front of the bad guy. Shoot the guy down and he will leave a Key, but when you pick it up it will turn into a Passport; neither of which will show up in your inventory. However, taking the Key/Passport pickup gives Lara permission to use the quad bike.

*If you did not open the door to the final secret before you can do that now. Go to the camp and make your way to the waterfall behind the tents. Go right of the waterfall and climb up behind the two grey boxes to the upper ledge. Turn right and pull up to a higher ledge. Walk ahead on the narrow ledge, and then make your way right. At the end of this narrow ledge, jump over to the left of the slanted rock and make your way to the door in the wall to your left. Enter the door and pull up to the higher ledge ahead. Wait for a komodo dragon to come down from the upper ledge to your right and gun it down. You now need to head back to the start of the level with the quad bike. Drive back along the track to the closed gates and dismount the quad bike. Use the red and green keys to open the gate and drive through. Keep to the right and make your way along the side of the deep pit until Lara is at the tent. Now dismount the bike and slide to the bottom of the pit. Collect the Shotgun Ammo from the stone ledge on the slope of the pit, and then go to the right side corner of the pit where the two green pillars are. Climb to the highest pillar then turn right and stand jump to grab the higher ledge. Walk to the end of the ledge and pull up to the top of the pillar ahead. Go straight ahead, and then take a running jump to grab the side of the climbable tree ahead. Climb up and pull up on to the top of the pillar. Face left, pull up again and arrive in front of the door you opened with the jump switch back by the waterfall area. Drop down through the new door and go left in the cave. At the end of the cave, go right and make your way through the crawl space to the room beyond.

Jump to the top of the low pillar ahead for some Shotgun Ammo, and then face right so that you are looking over a deep pit. You can see the secret beyond the pit. Drop down from the pillar and head right of the pit. When you hit the path here a boulder will fall, so quickly run back to safety and wait for the boulder to pass. Return to the path, pick up the LMP in the middle of the path, and then proceed towards the secret. Collect the Shotgun Ammo from the entrance of the secret room, and then go through for the 6th Secret ~ Gold Dragon. Now head back outside and return up the pit slope to the quad bike.

Back on the quad bike, go right of the tent and up the slope by the wall. Take up speed before you reach the end of the slope and jump the ramp at the end. Lara needs to land on the raised wall path over the river, so hit the "alt" key to slam on the brakes as soon as you land on the wall. Go left on the wall and jump the gap to make it onto the next part of the wall. Now just continue on until you are back at the start of the valley. Note: It is possible to use the rock with the ticket on it as a ramp, and then smash through the wall to another area. Do not do this. The room beyond the wall is for the next level and should not be entered yet.

Back at the start of the valley, drive the quad bike over the spike pit, and then up the ramp to get back to the room with the two spring boards. As soon as you enter this room, go left and up the ramp to the top. At the end of the passage, dismount the quad bike and pull up into the room above. There are closed double doors ahead and four large gold tiger statues. Move all four tiger statues onto the tiles at the end of each platform to open the double doors, and then take out the two tigers that attack.

Enter the new room and kill the two komodo dragons that show up. Go right, and then head into the crawl space in the wall at the end of the path. Carefully make your way through until you activate some spike traps in the passage ahead, then stand and walk through the spikes to the ledge at the end. Time the wall blade on the ledge above, and then pull up and immediately jump forwards to avoid the wall blade. Walk through the spike passage ahead, and at the end you will come to a collapsing tile floor with wall blades to the left and a jump switch up on the wall to your right. Use the jump switch to open a door over the trapped floor, and then stand jump onto the trapped floor while timing the wall blades to get to the safe path on the other side. Go left up the path and stand at the door ahead. Take a running jump to the top of the ledge ahead, and then go to the large tiger statue and press the "action" key to take the Tiger God from the statue.

As soon as you take the tiger god some debris will fall and spinning blades will start descending from the ceiling. Quickly run forwards, and then slide left down the ledge. Head around the path and make your way back into the four tiger statue room. More spinning blades will be descending and debris will be falling, so run around the outer walls of the room and drop down to the quad bike. Mount the quad bike (or you can travel by foot) head down to the lower room. Go right, and down the slope to get back to the valley. Jump the spike pit at the bottom of the slope, and then drive towards the waiting helicopter to finish the game.

3 Secrets

Note: To enter the new areas in this game you will need to get the ÄON-Ticket, and to do that you need to get the shotgun from the monkey.

Lara begins this adventure by sliding down a slope into a small jungle type room above a fast flowing river.

Room Layout: There is a closed door with a keyhole to the left, and a pillar to the left of the door. Behind Lara there is the slope you arrived here by and a passage next to it. At the end of the passage there is a white tile that you will be using later on to get the ÄON-Ticket.

Start by turning around from the bottom of the slope and jumping into the passage to the right for a SMP. Note the white tile at the end of the passage with the ÄON-Ticket banner on the wall behind it and remember this place. Nip back out of the passage and find some Flares ~ Shotgun Ammo just ahead of the slope. Now head to the pillar to the left of the closed door and pull up onto it. Take a running jump to the outer balcony ahead and pick up the LMP ~ Shotgun Ammo. You might notice here that the wall behind the balcony is not solid. Later on in the game you will be able to blow these walls out, but we will come to that in a while. For now, turn and face out over the room and take a running jump over to the tree branch ahead. Pull up and take a running jump diagonally right to land on the small square ledge behind the pillar, and then walk to the edge of the ledge so that Lara is facing out over the river. Face diagonally right and stand jump forwards to land on the green ledges below. Turn around so that Lara is looking out over the river, and then look up to see a tree branch to grab. Now pull up and walk to the end of the branch, hop back once and take a running jump diagonally left to land on the temple balcony at the other side of the river. Walk around the balcony until you see a cheeky monkey holding the shotgun, and then approach him to activate a cut scene.

The monkey is not about to give up his prize easily and runs away before Lara can grab the much needed weapon from him. After the cut scene, walk right and stand at the edge of the balcony. Look down to see the cheeky monkey with a few of his primate friends and a tiger in the area below. There is also a small medipack on a balcony over to the right but you can't get that just yet. Make a safety drop down to the monkey and tiger area, and then quickly run into the passage to the right of the grey block. Light a flare and make your way to the room at the end of the passage.

Room Layout: In this new room there is a lever to the right and a dark passage to the right of the lever. There is also a slope ahead with a push block beyond it, and up on the slope there is a boulder. Using the lever will activate the boulder and it will begin to roll up and down the slope. Use the boulder to kill the tiger who has wandered in behind you, and then lure the cheeky monkey onto the slope to kill it. When he dies he will drop the shotgun. Use the lever again to stop the boulder, and then take the cheeky monkey's Shotgun. Now enter the dark passage to the right of the lever and grab the 2 x Shotgun Ammo from the floor. Return to the room and nip over the slope to the push block. There is a snake here but he didn't seem to be bothered by Lara's presence so I ignored him. Push the block left and place it at the end of the path. Pull up onto the block and face right. Jump and grab the hanging wall ladder above, and then pull up to the balcony above. Take the Flares from the left corner, and then go right for a LMP. Now return to ground and head back outside.

Room Layout: There is a grey pillar ahead, a closed door to the right, two push blocks diagonally to the right, another push block up in the wall to the right and another push block to the left of the closed door. The push block to the left of the closed door has a handle missing so you will not be able to move it yet. Go straight ahead to the grey pillar, and then walk around to the other side. There is a lever on the pillar with a wooden grate covering it. Shoot the grate with the shotgun, and then use the lever to open the door over by the push block; but don't go through yet. Go to the push blocks and move the first one under the push block in the wall. (There are two blue/grey tiles indicating where the push blocks have to be placed). Now place the second push block in front of the first push block. Climb up onto the push blocks and pull the push block in the wall out once. That's all you can do here for now, so make your way to the newly opened door and stop at the entrance.

Room Layout: Ahead of you is a pathway of collapsing tiles leading to the right, a safe alcove at the end of the path, a central hanging pillar and a shimmy gap behind the pillar. Run along the collapsing path to the right, and then just before the penultimate tile, jump to avoid a really fast collapsing tile and nip into the alcove to the right. There is a sleeping snake to the right in the alcove, but he didn't bother Lara in my game so I left him alone. From the alcove, turn and face out over the room. Look right of the hanging central pillar to see a shimmy gap in the far wall and take a running jump to it. Shimmy left to the end of the wall, and then shimmy left onto the next wall and pull up. Note: When you reach the end of the shimmy gap you will hear a strange noise. The noise is in fact the collapsing tile path re-building itself so that you use it again if need be. Up on the ledge there is another sleeping snake; but he seems quite docile so ignore him and go left to the end of the ledge. Use the "action" key on the push block in the wall and push it through twice. This is the push block you moved outside earlier.

Pull up onto the block, turn to face the upper outer balcony of the room then pull up for that SMP you saw when you first entered the area. Now turn and face out over the room. There is a central ledge ahead with a zip line on it. Jump over to the zip line ledge; but don't use the zip line yet!!! Go to the right side of the ledge and jump over to the outer balcony of the temple. Make your way left, and then go right around the balcony. At the end of the balcony, shoot out the wooden grate to the right and then head to the end of the passage for the Old Key. Now leave the passage and head back outside. An eagle will now be waiting for you, so gun it down and make your way back to the zip line ledge. Use the "action" key at the zip line and Lara will slide down to the starting area of the level.

Back at the first room, go to the slope you arrived in the level from and jump to the passage to the right. At the end of the passage there is a white tile with an ÄON-Ticket banner on the wall behind it. Stand on the white tile and use the "jump" and "action" keys together, and then keeping the "action " key pressed, draw the shotgun. If the code has worked the ÄON-Ticket will be on the white tile at Lara’s feet. Ok, so you now have your ticket to the new areas.

Return to the room outside and notice the green circles hovering in the air; these will show you where the extra routes are. There is one above the slope and another one to the right of the slope, and beyond that there is a hole in the wall. Enter the hole, drop into the new room and pick up the Rocket Launcher ~ 127 x Rockets. You can also use the handle at the wall and Lara will take something from an invisible box, but no extra items showed up in my inventory. In the next room there is a pillar and a wall and the only thing I found to do here was a bit of target practice with the rocket launcher on the walls. So now you can head back outside but have your shotgun ready as an Atlantean Demon will be waiting for you. Note: Do not use the rocket launcher in small spaces or Lara will get blown up too. Also, do not use the rocket launcher on the Atlantean Demons; they will take you out with just a few shots and the shotgun is a much quicker weapon. 

When the enemy has been taken care of, go to the green pillar again and pull up. The breakable wall is behind the balcony ahead so use your rocket launcher to take down the wall, and then go take a look in newly revealed the room if you wish. There's a closed door which you will open later when you exit another area. There's nothing else to do here so drop back to ground and head to the closed door. Use the Alter Schlussel (Old Key) on the lock and drop down into the hole through the door. Now crawl right and you will arrive at the kayak; or so it seems. In this version of the game the kayak will turn into a yellow dinghy, so climb aboard the kayak and watch as the transformation takes place. Use the "forwards" key to paddle the dingy and head left out of the watery room. Make your way up the river to the end and take note of the shark that's arrived to hinder you in the river. At the end of the river go right, and then fight your way against the river current until you can see a hole in the wall ahead. This is where things become tricky. As soon as you approach the hole in the wall some spikes will activate inside the hole; making it seemingly impossible for Lara to pass through the hole, and at the same time the shark will be nipping at Lara. To get through the spiked hole you will need to roll the dinghy, and this is done by using the "alt" key. Be sure to get as close as possible to the spiked hole, and also try to face the spikes head on. Use only the "alt" key for Lara to roll the dinghy and she will float safely under the spikes. On the other side of the spikes you will see a small ledge at the wall ahead of you. Note: Most forum members and I had a few problems getting out of the dinghy. Andre kindly informed me that he paddled directly towards the small ledge head on, and then pressed the "ctrl" key for Lara to get out. If that fails, another thing to try is to paddle towards the small ledge head on, and then with the "up" key pressed move in on the ledge and press the "down" key. Lara will then flip out of the dinghy onto the ledge. The dinghy will follow behind her, but you will not be using this dinghy again so don't worry about it being inactive now. Now enter the dark passage beyond the ledge and make your way through to the room at the top of the passage.

As soon as you arrive in the new room you will see a green circle hovering at the wall ahead. Use the rocket launcher to blast the wall away, and then collect the 2 x Shotgun Ammo from the left corner of the room. Now go right and head to the end of the room. Take out the tiger that sneaks up behind you then continue on left to the end of the room. To the left of the green pillar you will find some more Shotgun Ammo. Now return to the wall you destroyed when you entered the room and carefully make your way into the room beyond.

There is a spike path ahead, so walk through it to get to the other side and then draw your shotgun and take down the Atlantean Demon who is firing at you from the deep pit to your left. Now take a look around. Over the pit there is a wide tunnel with fire tiles, a movable pillar in the pit, and some blades spanning the pit. There is also a monkey running around in the pit with something in his mouth. Drop down into the pit, take out the monkey and pick up the Note that he leaves. The note will show you a map and some code panels which you will use later. Now go to the movable pillar in the corner, move it along the trench in the floor and place it on the tile at the end of the trench. This will extinguish the fires up in the tunnel. Now head back up to the spike ledge, jump on the top of the movable pillar and then immediately jump back to the spike ledge area to avoid the blade trap. Jump back to the pillar and take a running jump to the grab the edge of the tunnel; but don't pull up yet. The tunnel is sloped and there's a boulder sitting at the top. Shimmy left but stay on the grey area of the slope, and then pull up to activate the boulder. Hop back and grab the tunnel, and then quickly shimmy left to avoid the boulder. Now pull up left of the slope and use the slopes on the sides of the tunnel to bounce to the top. There is a flat area at the top of the slope where Lara can land safely. Now simply jump into the alcove in the wall and climb the ladder to the top. Pull up over the top of the ladder and Lara will slide into a small room.

There is a closed door ahead, a button and wall code on the right wall and another button and wall code on the left wall. There is also a central raised path. Go to the buttons on the walls and use the "action" key. Lara will look at a code that's inside the wall. The wall code consists of blocks with six dots on each block. The blocks are then divided into sets. Let's use the left wall code. 2 blocks - 3 blocks - 4 blocks - 3 blocks - 5 blocks - 3 blocks - 4 blocks. This means the message contains a 2 letter word, a 3 letter word, a 4 letter word a 3 letter word a 5 letter word a 3 letter word a 4 letter word. While you are still in the wall code view, select the note from your inventory. There are the blocks you see in the wall code, and each block on the note is allocated a letter of the alphabet. Now match the letters on the note blocks with the blocks on the wall code to reveal the hidden message.

Read both panels if you wish. The right wall code deciphers as "Those With Courage Those With Hope" and the left panel deciphers as "Go The Path New Doors Will Open". It is the left wall message you need and it's telling you to follow a path. Well the raised central path in the room seems like a good start. Go onto the raised central path and run around it until the door opens; but do not step down onto the lower floor or the door will close again. Now head through the door and into the next room. 

You are now in a tall pillar room. Go left to the end of the room and you will see the next green circle. Underneath the circle is some Shotgun Ammo and on the other side of the room there is a SMP. Face the green circle and take out the wall behind it to reveal another room. Now, to get another secret you will need to take a detour to the top of the room and then come back down to this place. So go to the pillar to the left the wall you just blew out, and pull up to the top of it. Walk to the pillar ahead and grab the shimmy gap on it.  Shimmy around the pillar to the other side, and then drop off and walk to the end of the ledge. Jump to the pillar ahead and then jump onto the slope that is diagonally to your left and slide down. Pick up the Flares at your feet, and then jump out of the hole and return to the first green pillar. Make your way over the pillars and ledges like you did before to get back to the slope, but this time don't slide off the end of the slope. Jump onto the slope, slide a short way and then jump to grab a ladder on the wall ahead. Climb to the top of the ladder, and then climb left around the wall and drop off onto the ledge. There is a ceiling ladder above you now, so grab it and make your way to the other end. Drop off onto the ledge at the end of the ceiling ladder, and then crawl through to the end of the crawl space ahead. Drop down to the lower ledge, and then jump to the pillar at the end of the room. Turn left and jump to the next pillar ahead, and then turn left and jump to the central pillar. Now take a running jump towards the tall pillar ahead and grab the shimmy gap on the pillar. Shimmy around to the other side of the pillar, and then drop to a slope below you. Immediately slide and back flip with a turn to catch the pillar behind you, and then climb up the pillar to about half way. Back flip with a turn to grab a higher ladder on the previous pillar, and then climb to the top of the pillar. Climb around to the right and drop off from the pillar. To the left of you there is a gap in the lattice fence giving you access to an outer ledge on the ether side of the room; but ignore that route as it's for the normal version of the game. Light a flare and enter the dark passage to your left. At the end of the passage, go right and find Secret 1 ~ Stone Dragon. Now return to the gap in the lattice fence and grab hold of the climbable wall. Shimmy left until you are on the pillar ladder and then back flip with a turn to grab the pillar behind. Now climb to the bottom of the pillar and make your way back to the wall you blew out earlier and head through.

To the right there is a deep pit with an Atlantean Demon. Draw your shotgun and take the creature out as quickly as possible or he will take you down with just a few hits. The Altantean Demon will drop a key, so drop down into the pit and look on the floor where he fell and pick up the Old Temple Key. Now notice the light Indian textured wall at the end of the room, load up your rocket launcher and blow the wall down. Behind the wall there is a spring board. Run onto the spring board, keep the “forward” key pressed and Lara will spring to a gap in the wall above and slide down onto a leafy ledge above the river.

The camera will be fixed here so it’s really difficult to see where to go, but straight ahead there is a wall to blow out over on the other side of the river. So load up your rocket launcher and fire it straight ahead to take out the wall. Now take a running jump straight ahead and grab the grey ledge below the ruined wall. Pull up onto the ledge and head through to the new room. Kill the tiger that’s lurking inside, and then enter the passage in the wall. Use the lever at the end of the passage to open the door at the end of the passage, and then watch as a door back in the first room also opens. Now nip through the newly opened door and drop down into the first room of the level.

Go to the green block to the left of the door and pull up onto it. Take a running jump to balcony ahead, and then enter the room beyond. That closed door you saw at the start of the level will now be open, so head on through and make your way through the crawl space and out to a wide branch at the end. In the wall ahead there is a shimmy gap. Grab the shimmy gap and make your way to the right, and then go around the corner until Lara is hanging on a vine ladder. Back flip with a turn to land on a ledge behind you, and then turn and stand jump to the upper ledge ahead. Walk to the end of the ledge and face right. There is a branch textured ledge over the river ahead. Take a running jump to land on the ledge, and then face left and take a running jump to the ledge with a zip line on it. Grab the zip line, and then slide and jump off at the entrance to the passage below to avoid a spike trap further up in the passage. To your right there is a closed door in the wall that you will open shortly, but for now, draw your shotgun and walk slowly through the spikes towards the room ahead. As you approach the room some debris will fall and a komodo dragon will appear, so shoot the enemy and step into the room.

Lara will point her shotgun at a sleeping snake, but there is no need to waste ammo on him. Go left and pick up the Shotgun Ammo, and then use the lever on the wall to your left to raise a lattice fence in the river. Return to the spike passage outside and the door in the wall (left) has now opened revealing a crawl space. Enter the crawl space, and then drop to the tiny watery room below to find a second dinghy (which will appear as a kayak until you get into it).

Wade towards the left side of the kayak and Lara will get in. There is a rather strange animation here as the kayak appears to float off without Lara, but let the animation finish and she will not only be in the kayak, the kayak will also transform onto the dinghy. Now paddle the dinghy to the left and make your way to the lattice wall at the end of the river. Just before you reach the lattice wall, go left and make your way to the end of this final watery passage. I found the best way to get Lara out of the dinghy was to head straight towards the ledge ahead and then continue to press the "up" key until the dinghy mounts the ledge. Lara should then get out of the dinghy and will be standing in the entrance to a new room.

There's not much to do here. Just gun down the komodo dragon and pick up the Hand Grip from the back of the room. Turn around and face the entrance to the room, and then look on the right side of the doorway for a vine ladder. Use the ladder to climb to the top of the room, and then pull up onto the ledge above. Go left until you see an open gap in the wall to your right, and then drop down through the gap. You will find yourself back in the rolling ball room at the start of the level.

Head outside to the push blocks and use the Hand Grip on the push block to the right. A cut scene will kick in showing Lara pulling the block away from the wall, and the upper temple will fall. Note: Sometimes this cut scene did not show up for me and I had a black screen. If this happens, wait for the cut scene to end and you should be back in-game. If not, then re-load and do the scene again.

With the temple now in ruins, Lara has to make her way to the top. After she has recovered from the falling debris, drop down to ground level and make your way to the entrance of the passage that led to the rolling boulder room. You can't enter here now but you can pull up onto a fallen wall that is lying in front of the passage, and on the wall ahead is a dark green texture. Nip onto the ledge in front of the dark green texture, stand at the highest point and pull up to the balcony above. Turn left and head to the end of the balcony, and then face left and stand jump to the top of the grey rock ahead. Now stand jump diagonally right to land on the top of the green wall, and then nip down to the balcony below. (Take care not to fall into the watery pit beyond the balcony as I found no way out of there).

Go left along the balcony to the push block at the end and pull the block back twice. Jump onto the top of the push block and face right. Take a running jump to grab the central ledge, and then pull up. In the middle of the ledge you will find the Old Key. Now use the lever on the block nearby to open a door behind the push block, and then jump back to the push block balcony. Make your way over the push block to the other side and head to the end of the balcony. Go left into the passage, and then head right until you are in a dark passage. Go through the passage, shoot out the wooden barrier that is blocking your way, and then walk to the end of the passage.

Save your game here or it is possible you will miss the next secret. Turn around and hang drop from the passage, and then drop and grab the edge of a passage in the wall below you. Pull up into the passage and head to the end where you will find a lever to use. After using the lever, a cut scene will kick in showing you a ball rolling from a stone hand revealing a secret dragon. Return to the end of the passage and make sure you are on full health. This next part is quite tricky even if you are on full health. Lara must land in the deepest part of a pool below or she will die from the fall. I also did not find a way to make a safety drop, so this is how I did it. Face the hole and side step right until Lara is on the corner of the tile. Now face diagonally left and walk off the edge and drop down the hole. Keep the left key pressed as Lara falls and she should land in the deepest part of the pool below.

You are now in a room with the stone hand and a door with two keyholes. There is also another code panel on the wall opposite the closed doors, a passage to the left of the closed doors (which you do not need to enter) and a passage to the right of the closed doors. And finally, in the corner of the room there is a wide passage. First collect the 2nd Secret ~Jade Dragon from the stone hand, and then read the wall panel. It deciphers as "Open A Door, A Cold God Waits". Now go to the wide passage in the corner of the room and walk towards the hole in the floor; but do not jump over to the brown path beyond the pit. The path is trapped and is part of the normal game. If you attempt to pass through this area and manage to make it to the room beyond you will be stuck there. So, simply drop into the pit and head through the tunnel below for a LMP and some Shotgun Ammo at the end, and then return to the room. Now, you can either use the two keys you have and enter the next level, or you can grab the final secret; but this is a huge detour so it's up to you if you wish to take all the goodies with you. Also note that the passage to the left of the closed doors is for the normal version of the game and you absolutely do not need to go there. If you do you will be stuck without transport in the river, so just ignore that route.

If you wish to take the final secret then continue on from The Final Secret If you wish to enter the next level then use the two keys on the locks to open the double doors and head through to the final room.

There is a spring board to the right with a jump switch above it, another spring board with a jump switch above it at the far end of the room, and closed double doors. There is also a slope leading up to the right of the closed doors which you will use later. Stand in front of the spring board (it does not matter which one you use first) and run onto it keeping the "forwards" and "action" keys pressed. Lara will spring forwards, grab the jump switch and pull it down. When both jump switches have been used the doors will open at the end of the room. Run through the newly opened doors and slide down to exit the level. You will get a statistics screen appear. To exit the statistics screen and continue on to level 2, hit the "Esc" key. 

The Final Secret

Light a flare and enter the passage to the right of the closed doors. Nip up onto the block, and then walk forwards a short way and turn left. There is channel with a deadly floor ahead and a shimmy gap in the wall to your left. Shimmy along the wall until you are over the deadly channel, and then drop off into a dark passage. Make your way through the passage until you hear a door close behind you, and then continue on until you reach a large room with a huge statue.

To the right there is a movable pillar, and just ahead of that there is a blue face tile on the floor. To the left there are two more movable pillars up on a ledge, and at the far end of the room there is a push block to the left of the statue. Also to the left of the statue there is a small ledge sticking out of the wall. First go to the movable pillar to the right and move it onto the blue face tile. This will create a ledge high up in the room for you to use later. Now go to the movable pillars on the other side of the room and nip around to the back of the left one. Pull the pillar back once, and then go around to the front of the pillars and move the second pillar in front of the other pillar. This has created a double ledge high in the room to allow you to move a pillar higher up in the room.

Now go to towards the statue and find the push block at the wall to your left. Face the wall, pull the block out three times, and then push it once towards the statue. Pull up onto the block, face the wall and take a running jump to the alcove ahead. Now face diagonally right towards the statue. You can just see a small ledge sticking out of the wall to the left of the statue. Take a running jump with a left curve to land on the small ledge, and then pull up to the higher ledge ahead. Face right and climb up onto the statue. Turn around and take a running jump to grab the top of the outer wall ahead and pull up. Go left along the ledge, and at the end pick up the Flares and Shotgun Ammo. Now drop down one level and walk towards the movable pillar ahead. Pull the pillar back twice so it's sitting on the black tile, and then pull back up to the previous ledge. You now need to make a right curved running jump around the pillar and land on the ledge behind it. When that has been successful, look diagonally left and see the ledge you made with the movable pillars below, and take a running jump to land on it. To your right is another movable pillar. Pull it out once to create a ledge below a lever above you, and then head to the end of the green ledge. There is a shimmy gap in the wall to your left. Jump to grab it and shimmy all the way around to the other side. Continue to shimmy left until Lara is on a vine ladder, and then climb up. When you are near to the top of the vine ladder, shimmy left and drop off onto the ledge. Walk to the end of the ledge, draw your shotgun and shoot the komodo dragon that's lurking over on the ledge ahead. Now stand at the end of the ledge and step back once. Take a standing jump ahead so that Lara lands on a slope, and then immediately jump again to land on the ledge the komodo dragon was on.

Run to the end of the ledge and spot the vine ladder leading up the wall ahead. Climb the vine ladder to the top, and then make your way forwards until you can take a left turn around the back of the statue. Continue on to the end of this path, and then nip down to a lower ledge. There is a now a long slope leading down to the left. Pick up the SMP, and then slide down the slope to a lower ledge. Run ahead to the stone hand decoration at the end of the ledge, and then hop back twice and take a running jump to clear the stone hand and land on the pillar ledge you created earlier. Now take a running jump to the blue tinted ledge ahead and walk to the end. Do a safety drop down to the ledge below, and Lara will land in front of a lever. There is a burning ledge behind Lara and the lever will extinguish the flames. When the ledge is safe, pull up onto it and go the slope at the end of the ledge. Note: There is a code panel between the wall torches but this is for the normal version of the game so ignore it. Stand with Lara's left side to the slope and take a few steps to the right. Now keeping the "action" key pressed, side flip onto the slope and back flip to the slope behind. Lara will then jump forward and grab an upper ledge. Pull up onto the ledge and face right. Take a running jump to grab the ledge above the fire ledge and pull up. Walk ahead to the other side of the ledge and jump to the ledge on the outer wall. Face right, jump to grab the small ledge above and pull up. Walk to the pillar ahead and pull up to the top of it. Head forwards to the end of the following ledge, and then take a running jump diagonally right to land on the silver triangular ledge on the head of the statue. Turn left so that Lara is facing the statue, and then side flip to the right to land on the sloped face of the statue. Slide and grab the top of the statue's mouth, and then drop and grab the lower jaw and pull up inside the mouth. Crawl through the mouth to near the end. There is a hole to the right with a lever inside it. Drop down into the hole and use the lever inside to open the door in the passage you arrived here by, and then pull out of the hole and exit via the gap at the back of the mouth.

You will now be facing a hole in the wall; but do not go down there yet. Turn and stand against the back of the statues head, and then jump to grab the upper part of the head. Shimmy left as far as you can, and then pull up onto the head. Stand jump forwards onto the higher part of the head, and then pull up onto the top of the head. Walk to the front of the head and stand on the left corner point. Hop back twice and take a standing jump forwards to land on a lower triangular ledge on the face of the statue. Now stand at the very point of the triangular ledge and stand jump over and down to the long outer ledge at the far wall. Make your way along this ledge to the end and pick up the 3rd Secret ~ Gold Dragon. Return to the beginning of the ledge and take a running jump back to the triangular ledge on the statues face. Side flip left onto the face, and then slide to grab the top of the mouth. Drop and grab the lower jaw of the statue, and then make your way inside the mouth again. Crawl to the end of the mouth and exit via the gap in the back of the mouth.

Now enter the dark passage ahead and go left. Save your game and slide down the slope ahead. Lara will then land on a second slope and will be heading towards two wall blades. Jump to avoid the wall blades and slide back to ground level. Lara will land at the back of the two movable pillars. Exit the room and head back through the passage to the deadly floor channel. Like you did before, use the shimmy gap in the wall to clear the deadly channel, and then return to the two keyhole room.

Use the two keys on the locks to open the double doors and head through to the final room.

Stand in front of the spring board (it does not matter which one you use first) and run onto it keeping the "forwards" and "action" keys pressed. Run through the newly opened doors and slide down to exit the level. You will get a statistics screen appear. To exit the statistics screen and continue on to level 2, hit the "Esc" key. 

 

 

Level Two ~ ÄON-Ticket ~ Wildpfad

4 Secrets

Note: There are a few bugs and illegal routes in this level. If you follow this walkthrough correctly you should be ok, but if you find yourself stuck, lost, confused or missing keys then it is likely you have hit a bug or taken a wrong route. My only advice is to save in different slots throughout this level.

Lara begins the level by sliding down into a long valley. Ahead is a spike pit, so jump over it and let the adventure begin. Again you will need to get an ÄON-Ticket in order to play the alternate game, so head into the small cave to your left and stand on the white tile with the ÄON-Ticket banner on the wall behind it. Use the "jump" and "action" keys together, and then keeping the "action" key pressed, draw the shotgun. If the code has worked the ÄON-Ticket and the Rocket Launcher will be on the white tile at Lara’s feet. Now head out of the cave and make your way left into the valley.

Run ahead until you see a giraffe grazing in a tall grass field. You will encounter a few giraffes but they will not harm Lara. They do however become quite erratic when startled, so try to keep away from them and certainly avoid killing them as this is unnecessary. Enter the tall grass and keep to the right so as not to startle the giraffe, but unfortunately further in you will have gun down two attacking tigers. At the end of the tall grass you will come to a rock with a stick on the top of it, and on the stick is a ticket. There is also a green circle here showing you a new route. First nip up onto the rock and take a look at the ticket. A short cut scene will show you the ticket, which says "Aurora". Now drop down to ground, take out your rocket launcher and blow out the wall behind the green circle to reveal cave. Before entering cave load up your shotgun, and then head into the cave.

Walk slowly through the tall grass to avoid any falling debris, and at the end the will be two ahmets to kill. Keep left now and head up the raised ledge but still take care of falling debris as you go. About half way up the ledge a boulder will trigger and come rolling down into the cave, but as Lara is up on the ledge she will remain safe. When the boulder has passed, nip down into the middle of the cave and fire the rocket launcher up the cave towards the green circle to destroy the wall behind it. Now head to the shattered wall and fire a few more rounds. This will take out some inner walls in the next cave. Now enter the next cave, note the pillars and the closed door up in the wall to the left, and then head through to the room at the end. To the right there is a boulder up in the wall and to the left there is a pit with a spike trapped bridge spanning it. At the end of the bridge there is a jump switch with a safe tile below it. Can you hear some strange music?  Hmmm! I guess we will have to wait and see what that is!!! From the boulder side of the pit, take a running jump to the safe tile and use the jump switch to open the door up in the wall that you saw earlier. Now nip down into the pit for a LMP, and then climb back out and head back to the first pillar in the previous room. Climb the vine ladder on the side of the pillar to get to the top, and then from here it's an easy jump via the pillars to get to the newly opened door. Enter the new door and Lara will begin to slide down a slope, she will then hit a second slope and you need to be ready to grab an upper ledge as you slide down. If you miss the ledge you will arrive in a lower room with no way out other than a horrible death. Once you have hold of the upper ledge, pull up and then quickly whip out your shotgun to tackle an angry ahmet. Now pick up the Shotgun Ammo lying nearby and head into the passage. To the left there are some high steps leading up; but ignore them for now and make your way to the spike floor room ahead. The spikes will not harm Lara and the floor will in fact start to lower with Lara on it. Eventually a hole in the wall will be revealed with a jump switch inside. Use the jump switch to lower the boulder back in the previous cave, and then jump from the hole in the wall to a ladder opposite. Climb to the top of the ladder and get off to the right. Go through the passage and into the passage to the right. Pick up the Shotgun Ammo from the bottom of the steps, and then nip up onto the first step for some more Shotgun Ammo. Climb up once more to the top step and stand at the back of it so that Lara can make a standing jump over the slope ahead. You will now be back at the pillar room. Go left to get back to the jump switch area, and see in the wall to the right the hole that the boulder fell from. Pull up inside the hole and walk out to a ledge above the valley. 

Down below there is a camp and to the left there are two more green circles. You will be dealing with the furthest green circle first, but not from here because the rocket launcher will aim at the giraffes, so ignore the green circles for now, make a safety drop to ground and head over to the camp. Ah! So that's where the strange music was coming from; someone left a record playing on the record deck. Ok well no time to sing along, get into the tents for 3 x Shotgun Ammo, and then go to the lake behind the tents. Stand facing the area between the two waterfalls and notice some branch type textures running up the wall to the left of the larger waterfall. Load up your rocket launcher and blow out the walls above the branch type textures. Now go to the green pillar below the branch textures and pull up onto it. The branch textures are in fact climbable, so make your way up to the top and pull up onto the ledge at the top. Head left to the end of the ledge and grab the shimmy gap in the brown wall. Shimmy left to the hole in the wall, and then shimmy left again until you are on the left side of the hole. Pull up and immediately jump forwards to avoid the wall blade and get into the passage beyond. At the end of the passage there is a climbable wall with two wall blades up inside a hole. Keep to the right as you climb up past the first blade and Lara will not take any damage, and then when you are between the two blades, shimmy left and climb up safely past the second blade and pull up into the temple above.

The first thing to do here is to kill the monkey and take the 4th Secret ~ Platinum Dragon that he drops. Now head to the stone hand and take the Sniper Rifle from the ledge behind it. Down behind the ledge there is a hole with a blade in and something lying in the bottom of the hole. Go to the side of the hole where the blade is at its thinnest and hang drop down in the corner of the hole to avoid the blade. Now crawl under the blade to pick up the Note, and then crawl back to the corner of the hole and pull up out of it. On the wall you will find another code panel. Read it and decipher the message via the note. It reads "DUCK + CRAWL - LOOK + JUMP". Write this down for future reference, and then head back to the hole with the two blades in and make your way down to the bottom; remembering to stay on the correct sides of the hole to avoid taking damage from the blades. Now walk towards the blade at the end of the passage, take a running jump over it and hit a hard left to land on the ledge outside. You can now simply climb down the branch ladder and drop down into the lake. Alternatively you can jump left from the top of the temple and head back down the wall ladder to the lake below.

Make your way to the other side of the lake so that Lara is on the right side of the larger waterfall, and then pull up behind the two grey boxes. Walk down towards the camp and six newly arrived enemies will approach (two tigers, two ahmets and two eagles). Gun them down then return to the two grey boxes and pull up onto the pillar behind them. Turn right and pull up to a higher ledge. Walk ahead on the narrow ledge, and then make your way right. At the end of this narrow ledge, jump over to the left of the slanted rock and make your way to the door in the wall to your left. Enter the door and pull up to the higher ledge ahead. Wait for a komodo dragon to come down from the upper ledge to your right and gun it down. Pull up carefully to the ledge where the komodo dragon came from, and then nip back down to avoid some falling debris. When the coast is clear, climb back up the ledge and go straight ahead to the far wall of the cave. There is a jump switch on the right side of the wall which will open a door by the deep pit back in the first area of the valley. Now make your way back to the camp by the waterfall and take down the eagle that is lurking by the camp.

It's now time to move on, so head over to the large slope in the tall grass and stand at the back of it facing the green circle below the high temple. Fire the rocket launcher towards the walls to take them down, and then Lara will lose the rocket launcher. This should indicate the task is complete but it's not always the case. Not to worry though, remember the other green circle hovering above the ledge in the tall grass? Go to it and pull up onto the top of the ledge. Below the green circle you will find a second Rocket Launcher. If the walls were not completely removed, or you did not visit the temple above the waterfall, you can use the new rocket launcher to complete these tasks. All being well though, make your way to the corner of the walls beneath the temple and climb up the pillar behind the tree. Face right, pull up to the higher pillar ahead and then face diagonally right and jump over to the ledge ahead. Face left and pull up to the higher pillar, and then face right and pull up to the next higher ledge. Now face diagonally left and stand jump to grab the next higher ledge. Pull up, walk forwards a short way, and then face left and pull up to the next higher ledge. Jump forwards to the higher path ahead then slide down to the right. Lara is now at the temple.

Go to the left side of the wall ahead and pull up onto the ledge there. Now nip up inside the temple and note the spring board on the floor in front of the tall pillar; but don't use it just yet. Go behind the far pillar for the 5th Secret ~ Stone Dragon, and then make your way to the spring board and stand on it. A cut scene will now kick in showing you a truck arriving through some double gates and stopping under in the valley beneath the temple. To escape from the cut scene press the "look" key. Now make your way down from the temple and head around into the valley where you can see the truck and its two occupants standing nearby. Run up to the truck; the two guys will just ignore Lara and will continue to chat, so you can now go on a detour for the final two secrets and the Aurora ticket if you wish. Or you can simply enter the bonus level. if you wish to collect the final two secrets and the Aurora Ticket then follow on from The Two Final Secrets And The Aurora Ticket. If you wish to enter the bonus level now then pull up into the back of the truck.

Bonus Level

Watch the cut scene. The truck will pull away with Lara inside, and then after taking a bit of a rest Lara will take on her next task. First pick up the endless supply of Ammo ~ Sniper Rifle ~ Laser Sight from the floor of the truck, and then combine the sniper rifle with the laser sight. Now go to the back of the truck and use the "action" key on the door of the truck to open it. You will now see a car racing up behind the truck and the baddy inside is shooting at Lara. Quickly pull out your sniper rifle and start shooting at the car until it skids off the road. Now more cars will approach one by one so continue to take out the cars until all 11 of them are off the road. There's still no rest for Lara and as soon as the last car is ditched a baddy will have managed to sneak into the truck. The baddy is a reconstruction of the tinmen so you need to shoot him in the chest until he drops; which can be quite a task in this small area but you don't need to use the laser sight to do it. You can also use the shotgun if you have any ammo left. Eventually he will die and leave Lara the Tiger God. Pick up the well deserved item and a cut scene will kick in to finish the game.

The Two Final Secrets And The Aurora Ticket

You now need to visit the area beyond the double gates. Luckily the guys have broken the gates down for you so you won't need keys for them but it's quite a long way and you have to do it by foot. Head past the truck and make your way along the track until you see the open double gates. Go through the gates and Lara will be above a deep pit. Keep to the right of the pit and make your way along the path until Lara comes to a tent. Go inside the tent for a SMP, and then slide down into the pit. Collect the Shotgun Ammo from the stone ledge on the slope of the pit, and then go to the corner of the pit where the two green pillars are. Climb to the highest pillar then turn right and stand jump to grab the higher ledge. Walk to the end of the ledge and pull up to the top of the pillar ahead. Go straight ahead, and then take a running jump to grab the side of the climbable tree ahead. Climb up and pull up on to the top of the pillar. Face left, pull up again and arrive in front of the door you opened with the jump switch back by the waterfall area. Drop down through the new door and go left in the cave. At the end of the cave, go right and make your way through the crawl space to the room beyond.

Jump to the top of the low pillar ahead for some Shotgun Ammo and then face right so that you are looking over a deep pit. You can see the secret beyond the pit. Drop down from the pillar and head right of the pit. When you hit the path here a boulder will fall, so quickly run back to safety and wait for the boulder to pass. Return to the path, pick up the LMP in the middle of the path, and then proceed towards the secret. Collect the Shotgun Ammo from the entrance of the secret room, and then go through for the 6th Secret ~ Gold Dragon. Now head back outside and return to the top of the pit.

Now that should be it for the secrets as the statistics screen will state that there are only six secrets, but as we were able to visit all the secret areas from the normal game, and also got the extra secret from the waterfall temple, we will have a final count of 7/6. So let's go get that final secret. From the top of the pit, go past the tent and make your way left to the water pool. There's a giraffe here having a drink but he won't harm Lara so leave him alone and head on over the pool to the other side. Follow on through the valley until Lara comes to a giraffe standing by two short pillars in a grass field. Look towards the pillars and then up in the wall over the grass filed to see a closed door with two black cables running down from it. Follow the cables and see that they stop in an alcove in the wall nearby. Go to the alcove, jump into it and use the jump switch in the alcove to open the door up in the opposite wall. Now return to the pillars in the grass field. Jump the two pillars, and then jump diagonally left to the rocks. Turn left and stand jump to the higher rock and pull up. Make your way along the rocky ledge to the newly opened door and carefully drop into the new room.  

There are four boulders and a passage at the far end of the room. Keeping to the right side of the room, step forwards to trigger each boulder and make it safely to the passage. Now light a flare and slide down into the passage. Head on through the passage; jumping two spike trapped holes as you go, and then drop down into a lower passage at the end. Crawl through the passage ahead and find yourself in a spike trapped trench, and in the middle of the spikes you can pick up the 7th Secret ~ Jade Dragon. Now crawl ahead, pull up to the right and find yourself back at the start of the level.

Ok, there's one more task to do before entering the bonus level. Head down through the valley again until you come to the rock with the "Aurora" ticket on it. Nip up onto the rock and stand by the ticket. After watching the short cut scene of Lara viewing the ticket, look at the code you found on the wall up in the waterfall temple, and then press the appropriate keys on your keyboard. DUCK + CRAWL + LOOK + JUMP. If done correctly Lara will take the Aurora Ticket. The ticket seems to still be on the stick at this point, but if you check your inventory you will see the ticket there. Note: The following sequence will enable the Flycheat, but the cheat did not work for me. It might be that keyboards differ in certain countries. The author of this level is from Germany so my UK keyboard would not accept the code, and I have no idea of an alternative way to achieve the cheat so if anyone does find a way then please let me know so I can add it to this walkthrough, thank you. Select the Aurora Ticket from your inventory and press the "action" key to examine it. You will then see four letters E - X - I- M. Now leave the inventory and Press those four letters one by one on your keyboard. Lara should now be able to fly. To bring Lara back to ground, press the "shift" key.

So now you can either fly back to the truck; if you managed to activate the Flycheat, or head back there on foot. Drop down from the rock and walk down into the valley. Walk to the edge of the path so that Lara is looking down into a lower part of the valley, and then notice there are three boulders sitting up in the rocks across the valley. There is also a long log lying ahead of Lara. Each route past the log will trigger a boulder and it's up to you which route you take, but I chose to jump to the top of the log and trigged the central boulder; which will roll in front of the log and leave Lara quite safe. Then jump from the log to the area below the boulders and continue on up through the valley until you come the tall grass field with the grazing giraffe and two low pillars. Go left of the field and make your way along the outer rock path until a tiger appears, and then gun it down. Continue on the path taking out any threats along the way, and eventually Lara will come to an erratic elephant that will trample Lara if she gets too close, so try to keep away from him and run ahead into the water pool with the thirsty giraffe. The giraffe will be startled this time, but try not to kill him and just run past the tent and head left of the deep pit. Kill the tiger on the path and then jump down through the open gates at the end of the path. Now make your way back to the truck and pull up into the back of it.
