TR3 - DOOR TO HELL? by SLASH

You are standing at the bottom of a great room. Walk around and notice a closed gate. On the floor you can pickup a large Medi pack (1). and two Desert Eagle clips (2,3). Somewhat further you can pickup two desert eagle clips (4,5), two Uzi clips (6,7) and one rocket (8). Now climb the ladder. Look around and pickup at the end a large Medi Pack (9), the Uzis (10) and Uzi Clips (11). When you are full of ammo, then it is time to go to the war zone. Climb the block and grab the ceiling. Shimmy to the other side. Let go on the first block and go to the left side of the corner where you can pickup the desert eagle (12) and the gate key (13). Climb the block and jump down. pickup the rocket launcher (14). Insert the gate key into the key lock. The gate to hell will open. The first and only thing you will see is a small fire on the top right corner. Nothing to worry! Arm yourself with the Desert Eagle. Walk around and on the left side of the block you where jumping of there comes a Tinnos Wasp (1) at of the ground. Kill it.  Now walk around and kill two Tinnos monsters (2,3) and another Tinnos Wasp (4) who will appear out of thin air. On the right low corner there will be a fire trigged on a tile, so don't stop.  The fire will only starts when you activate the trigger on that tile. And that's all Folks!

TR3 - JEEVES PLAYES FOR MUMMY?  by SLASH

In this 1 room test level, you can see how totally different textures still can match quite good. Jeeves is following you as usual and if you are hot, dive into the water to cool down. But the main (and funny) trick in this test level is Jeeves. When you shoot Jeeves, when holding his plate down, he will die.... but not for a very long time... Jeeves stand up again, without any blood loss... He is a tough guy...
PS... There's no way you can shoot Jeeves into the water.... I have tried and tried....

TR3 - THE ATTACK OF 1 SHIVAE STATUE by SLASH

At the very moment the level begins, a Shivae Statue comes alive and comes to grab you with his six razor-sharp swords. Jump on the block and start firing at him. When he crosses his swords he can't be hit so easily. But continue firing at him. Shoot the the Shivae statue (1).  After some 190 bullets he will die. Jump of the block and pickup the shotgun (1) and the sword (2). Now run to the block on the left corner and jump on. Pickup the shotgun shells. (2).  On the other side you can pickup a large Medi Pack (3) and shotgun shells (4).  At the far left corner climb on the block and pickup some shotgun shells (5). Now climb the ladder. At one moment Lara can't get any higher. Let Lara hang and then continue climbing up. Pull up and turn around. There is a cobra lying in front of you. But how do you wake him? Well drop down at the same ladder and you will wake him up. Pull up again and shoot the damn cobra (2). Jump to the other side and begin climbing ....climbing and climbing. At the end pull up and jump over the blade and over the two fires. Go left and climb the transparent block. Grab the ceiling and shimmy forwards. Then when you have reached the other block, let go. Jump for the block. Lara will fall a 'few' meters and land in a water pool. Climb out and pickup the (P2) sword (6). Insert the Serpent stone sword into the key lock to your left of the door. The door will open. Now you are back into the room where you have killed the Shivae statue. Insert the P2 sword into the key lock which lead to another room. There this test level will end.

TR3 - THE ATTACK OF SEVERAL SHIVAE STATUES by SLASH

You are standing on a block when two Shivae Statues are coming alive. The will not come after unless you hit the ground. Right behind you is another Shivae Statue, but this one isn't alive yet. Pickup on you right some shotgun shells (1) You can do a running jump to the left side of the room on the blocks. As soon you have left the blocks where you were standing on the Shivae statues are coming for you. Grab you pistol and start shooting the Shivae statues (1,2). It took me over 400 bullets to kill them both. Two down one to go.  Pickup the shotgun shells (2). Jump from the block and grab the two swords (3,4). Walk to the other wall and climb on the blocks to pickup the Large Medi Pack (5) and the shotgun shells (6). On the block in the middle you can pickup some shotgun shells (7).  Now try to pickup the shotgun shells on the left side of the Shivae Statue. But before you can pickup them up, it will become alive!!! Run to a safe spot in the room and shoot the Shivae Statue (3).  With the shotgun it is easier, but with the pistols it is more fun... you have to work for it.   Now grab the shotgun shells (8). Insert one of two swords (P1) you have into the key lock on the right side of the door with the red room behind it.  This will remove the fence by the stepladder. Now go to the far left corner with the block. Pickup the shotgun shells (9) and the small Medi Pack (10).  Now climb the stepladder.  At the end of the stepladder, wait a moment before pulling up. There's a hidden Cobra. Now this is what you need to do. Climb up and immediately jump off and grab the stepladder. Now you can do a backwards jump. You will land on the opposite site.  Kill the cobra (4).  Do a running jump to the block with the cobra and pickup a small Medi Pack (11). Jump back and climb the next stepladder. At the top insert a sword into the key lock. The door opens and there you have it. Four blades and two fires. The blades cuts off your legs without any problems... the fires are so hot, you are instantly barbequed! Jump over the first two blades.  Then do a running jump over the fire and the next blade. Now do this trick once again... Did you survive? ok, let's continue. Around the corner climb on the block and grab the ceiling. Shimmy to the other side. Land on the block and prepare yourself for a nice long dive. Jump of the block and Lara will land in a water pool some meters below.... Climb out of the water and examine the room. No key lock to find to open the door. Walk around and pickup the large Medi Pack(12) and the shotgun shells (13).  At the same time there comes a monkey towards you. Kill the monkey (5) and pickup the Commander Bishop's key which the monkey drops. Now we need to find a way to open the gate.  Found it.  At one corner there is a hidden switch, flip it and the door will open. Walk to the opposite door and use the commander Bishop's key on the left key lock.  Walk into the room with the very recognizable wallpaper. In the distance you will see a desert eagle, a large Medi Pac and a MP5. But for now there's no way to get there. Nice work Slash!

TR3 Test Levels: Water to Air

Similar to the one above, you have Winston in the wet room you start and he's walking around. There's a dry room on the other end, if you'd try to swim out normally you wouldn't manage, but if you swim over the "10" (which I assume to be the "sink" value), Lara will be dragged out of the water and into the dry area, where she can collect the ROCKET LAUNCHER and put Winston out of his misery (she won't lock her aim onto him, but you can aim manually and he'll still be blown to pieces). To jump back in the water, simply avoid the "10" zone as it will drag you immediately back to the dry area. There's no finish trigger.

TR3 Test Levels: Jeeves in the Water

This is just a curiosity showcase level - you have a room filled with water surrounding one that's dry. Jeeves starts in the dry area and eventually walks into the water filled room as if it was a dry location. For some reason, however, you can't shoot Winston from the chamber you begin the level in. There's no finish trigger.

TR3 Test Level: He Is Back Again!

There is some uzi ammo on the pond behind you if you please. Push the button and enter the hallway. The first path to the left, where the first native comes from, hosts a keylock, but you don't have a key yet. Go ahead, ignore the sloped floor and take the sideway corridor, take another native down and pick up the key in the end. Return to the keylock and use it, you'll see a door opening elsewhere. Run up to the sloped floor and take an angled jump to the high opening. Perform the jumping sequence until you reach the breakaway floor, immediately summersault to safety and you'll meet... him.

TR3 -  THE ATTACK OF THE T-REX by SLASH

You are standing in a large room with only you and the T-Rex. You notice that there is a brown walkway along the walls of this room. Stay on that and you can walk whole the way around. The funny part of test level is to shoot the T-rex when he is facing away from you. When the T-Rex is coming towards you hide you weapons and stand still, very still. It is a kind of chess.. Figure it out for yourself. It is fun to play. But be careful! When you stand on the blue tile he will come after you! Kill the T-Rex (1).
PS. It took 831 hits to kill the damn thing!

TR3TEST - HE'S BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN by SLASH

Turn around and run to the water pool. Dive into the water and pick up Uzi's (1) from the bottom corner. You can climb the ladder on the back wall but it seems to go nowhere. Turn around and be careful of the fires as you go to the door. Go to the left side and press the wall button to open the door. Hop onto the block and more fires start. Kill the native (1) inside the door and hopefully before he shoots you with a poison dart. Enter the corridor and look left to see a trap door and a key lock. Follow the corridor and kill a native (2). Go to the end of the corridor and drop into a hole for the Skull's Key (2). Return back in the direction of the key lock.

 

Look for an opening in an upper wall. Stand on the left block and jump to pull up into the opening. There is series of six slopes that you have to jump, as the floor is deadly. You land on a trap door over a water hole and next to a closed gate. That closed gate is timed by a switch near the key lock. We will come back to it later. Press the button on the wall and the trap door opens beneath you.

 

You drop into an underwater maze. Take the left most tunnel and follow it until you have a choice of directions. Take the right tunnel and swim down a vertical shaft. Follow the tunnel at the bottom and surface. Pull up to a ledge for secret #1 and a small medipack (3). Swim back to the trap door for air.

 

Dive in again and take the tunnel in the right side corner. Follow the tunnel to a large room with columns. The red spots on the floor are deadly. Climb the ladder in front of you. Slide down the slope and jump to the next slope. Slide and jump again. Then slide and jump into an alcove at the wall. You get secret #2 and a large medipack (4). Drop back and grab the edge. Shimmy to the right before you drop to the floor. Go to the two sloped columns. Pull up to the shorter slope, back flip and jump forward to grab a floating bridge. Turn to your left and jump to another bridge. Jump to grab the ceiling and monkey swing to the crawl space at the far wall. Get into the crawl space for secret #3 and flares (5). Climb back out and drop onto the slope. Near the bottom back flip over the deadly red tile. Return to the water maze and swim back to the trap door for air.

 

Take the left most tunnel again and follow it to you have a choice of directions. Take the left tunnel and continue to a T-junction. Take the left tunnel and continue to pull up into a blue room. Pull up and press the wall button to open the grate in the wall. Go left and climb the ladder on the wall. Last time there was nothing. This time you pull up into a tunnel. Go into a crawl space for secret #4 and a second Skull's Key (6). Go back to the wall grate and get back into the water. At the T-junction go straight and around the corner you will pull up into trap door next to the key lock.

 

Go to the key lock and use a Skull's Key. The gate opens in the right alcove. Go there and save the game for a timed run. Press a wall button. You get a cut scene of a gate opening next to a water hole. Now return to the opening in the wall. Jump to grab the opening and jump the slopes again. At the end, jump into the open gate. The trap door over the water has closed again, which is very helpful. If you do not make it, reload and try again. You see Winston at the end of the corridor.

 

Go to the key lock in the left alcove and use a Skull's Key. The trap door opens in the floor in the corridor. Drop into the water and the central current carries you to a flooded room. Swim to the bottom to pick up secret #5 and the rocket launcher (7). Avoid the crocodiles and swim back next to the blue side wall. The current is in the middle of the tunnel. The trap door opens and you can surface and pull up. Run down the corridor and jump over the two blue tiles. If you land on the tiles, the level ends.

 

Go around Winston and hop up onto a block around the corner. Press a wall button and the metal door opens in the hole beside you. Exit the door and find a motorcycle and some ramps. Take note of the warning not to save on the deadly red tiles. You can search the area and find a large medipack (8) on the ground in an inside corner of gray walls.

 

You cannot save on the red tiles. You use CTRL for forward and ALT to reverse. There are no brakes and you have to roll to a stop or hit something. Get on the motorcycle and start to drive over the red tiles. Go up the ramp, jump a gap, and turn to the right. Do not hit the wall or you will not make the next jump. Turn right and go up the hill to another jump. Turn right and keep close to the wall but do not hit it. Make the jump and release CTRL. You should jump the gap and hit a bump to stop. Use ALT and CTRL to maneuver the motorcycle for the right turn. Keep to the left side where the bump is higher and you should make it over the first gap. Tap the CTRL key so that you do not get too much speed. Keep going and at the top and turn to the right but still keep to the left side of the slope. You should jump the gap and hit a bump to stop. Maneuver the motorcycle to the left side of the next slope. I found it best to just tap the CTRL key so that you get to the top very slowly. At the top, get ready for a hairpin right turn. You drive up a brown ramp and hit a wall to stop. Use END and the left/right arrow to get off the motorcycle onto the safe brown tiles. Save a few times in different slots. [Option] This course took hours to do and just sucked the fun out of the game. There is a big difference between difficult course and a perverse and mean course. [End opinion]

 

Pull up to a large area and kill two natives (3,4). They shoot poison darts, so if you are shot, wait until they are both dead before taking a medipack to heal yourself. Pick up two small medipacks (9,10) from the dead bodies. In one corner of the platform is a button. Press the button and you are sucked up into some water. You bounce on a water hole and use jump to land in a small room. Jump into the tunnel in the wall and you are swimming. At the end of the tunnel you are back in the air and sliding down a slope. Jump up and roll so you slide down backwards. You should save at this point. Guess when you are near the end and back flip over a deadly red tile. Land on another slope and slide down backwards to grab the edge. Then shimmy to the left and pull up into an opening. You can see many raptors below you. In my case, a raptor died for some reason. I guess that the raptors attacked each other.

 

There is a triangular crawl space in the right wall but I found nothing inside it. Follow the tunnel and get secret #6 as you drop onto a plateau. Get on the motorcycle and drive down the slope into the pit. Run over thirteen raptors (5-17). Then pick up two Bloody Stones (11,12) from among their corpses. On one wall is a picture of a girl with a camera. Place the Bloody Stones in the holders on the right wall and the doors opens. Get on the motorcycle and drive up the slopes. You can also run up the slopes as well. As you approach the top, you see Winston with his tea tray and the level ends.

 

[Note] If you run over the raptors with the motorcycle, the kills are not counted and the total kills are four. If you do not use the motorcycle to kill the raptors and just stand on one the blocks to shoot them, there seems to be only eight raptors. The total kills include them and the total kills are twelve. [End note]

TR3TEST - GOLDEN LARA IN GREECE by SLASH

You start off by standing on the square for secret #1. Lara and almost everything else is gold in color. Go forward to a large gold structure and see a gold Winston. Pick up a shotgun and eleven shotgun shells off the ground. Go to the green wall behind the structure. Pick up gold bar #1 (called serpent stone) from the right side bush. Turn left and climb the wall behind the structure. Pull down the wall switch and get back to the ground.

 

Go to the gold waterfalls and dive into the water. Follow the underwater tunnel for a few turns and then swim up to surface. Pull up into a room and pull down the wall switch. You hear a trap door open. Dive into the water and follow the tunnel. You will see an open trap door. Swim to the right over a sloped column. Swim down and pick up a gold rocket for secret #2. Swim back and swim through the open trap door. Follow the tunnel and pull up into a large area for secret #3. You see the legs of the Midas statue.

 

Do not jump on the hand of Midas or you will die. Go beside the hand and pick up a gold bar #2 and gold bar #3 from the two skeletons. Jump onto the platform with the legs. Jump into a hole at the sides of the feet. Pick up two gold rockets for secret #4 and secret #5. Pull up out of the hole. Place the three gold bars in the three receptacles at the base of the platform. A trap door opens at the wall behind the hand. Drop into the hole. Fall down the vertical shaft and the level ends.

TR3TEST - VISIBLE TRANSPARENT BLOCKS WITH FLARES by SLASH

You start by dropping onto the floor. Pick up the flares off the sign in the middle of the room. The sign has a red line on it. Pull back a moveable block from the column in front of the red line. Go behind the block and pick up the Smuggler's Key. Hop onto the block. Light a flare and see a transparent block above you. Climb onto that block. Walk forward and stand jump to grab the column in front of you. Pull up and use the key. You hear a door open. Drop onto the transparent block. Stand jump to grab the column with the open door on top. Pull up and run into the open door. You slide down a slope towards a bright light and the level ends.

TR3TEST - BLACK BEAUTY, LARA by SLASH

You start on a corner column in a room with a lava floor. Jump forward to grab a column. Pull up and slide down a slope. Jump the next two sloped columns and land on a flat column. Pull up onto the higher ledge to your right. Some of the sections of the ledges are not solid. Stand jump over a gap and land on another solid section. If in doubt, walk Lara and she stops before a gap with the fake section.

 

Run and jump onto the next ledge. The first section is fake but the second section is solid. The next three sections are fake. Run and jump to the last section near the sign on the wall. Stand jump into the alcove and pick up the Smuggler's Key. Safety drop to the floor. Use the key to open the door beside the key lock. Enter the very dark room and shoot a dog. You see a large water pool in the room. Dive into the water pool and pull down two underwater levers. This opens a gate and releases two crocodiles. Pull up onto the ledge and shoot the crocodiles. Dive into the water and swim to the end of the tunnel to pick up a large medipack and flares. Get out of the pool.

 

Go to the entrance door and go left to a wall with a ladder. Climb up and shimmy to the left to drop on a transparent ledge. You can see a fire on the far wall. Walk in that direction and light a flare. Stand jump straight to another transparent ledge. Turn a little to the right and stand jump on another transparent ledge. Turn to the right and run and jump to grab a transparent ledge at the wall. Pull up and see a wall switch and a door. Turn to the left and run and jump to grab a corner ledge. Pull up and pick up flares for secret #1. Jump back to the transparent ledge with the wall switch. Pull down the wall switch and the door opens.

 

Go through the dark tunnel into a room. Winston is in a cage. Shoot the workman near the cage. Go behind the cage to a card reader on the back wall and the level ends.
