Valek Ruins - Search for the Golden Elephant (Demo)

After the starting cutscene go W inside the building and to its end. When you pick up the Little Medikit a boulder starts to run, get away and shoot two dogs. Ignore the star receptacles (you don’t need them in this level) but pull the lever behind the right pillar. Get out of the building and to the S of it. Kill a warthog and drop in the hole you’ve just revealed. Climb down into the maze full of spike traps. Go right, ahead, left and again left to pull a lever.

Get back out of the maze and find another open trapdoor N of the building. Down there is a fire maze; watch out and time your jumps here. Go 2x left here to find a Gem, then exit this cellar again. Back into the building step up the W stairs and jump to the gem receptacle. Place the Gem here and the door opens. Jump around the building, using the swingpoles and platforms. When you can jump inside the building again, enter and jump up to the monkeyswing, swing in a clockwise direction to the other side and drop to a ladder, then drop and grab the ledge below you. Jump to the next swingpole S (avoid the spikes) and swing to the other side. Drop to the ledge, then shimmy left and climb up. Turn N and use the tightrope to get to the other side.

Jump to the fish statue and pull it once, then climb on it and down on the other side. Note the keyhole and jump S. Jump to the swingpole which leads to a platform with another lever. Pull it and climb down. A S trapdoor is now open so get into the cellar area. Pull the lever to open the gate, get the Desert Eagle with a Lasersight, additionally 9mm Ammo. Then follow to another lever. Pulling it closes the last and opens the door in the W corridor. Pull out one of the two blocks and crawl into the next room. Avoid the stalactites here and get to the two fish statues, push and pull the right one under the E marked ceiling tile. The spikes turn off and the trapdoor opens. Climb up and go SE to shoot the locket and the wooden barrier to open the NW trapdoor. Climb up the ladder there and pull away the block to reveal a switch. Pulling it opens the gates behind you; get 9mm Ammo, Revolver Ammo and a Golden Key.

Now return all the way back to the first building, shooting four enemies in the last room. Climb up to the keyhole you saw earlier, using the W platforms, ropes and poles, and insert the Golden Key. A SE door opens, get there and pull the lever. Now a N door opens. Jump in and pull the pushable block under the marked ceiling tiles. The E door opens; get more Revolver Ammo and a Old Key. The giant head in the room below you awakes; go to the S ledge and one or two steps back so that the monster can’t shoot you. Take out your Revolver and shoot at his glowing hands. When you got both the monster is away; drop to the floor and go S to insert the Old Key. This lowers a NE door in the building. Enter it and the level ends.
