NOTES: At the start you can choose to either play the hard (press H) or easy (press E) version. The differences are, according to the readme:

 

-Lara starts with more ammo and medipacks.

-More ammo and medipacks can be picked up in some locations.

-Some enemies will drop more ammo and medipacks when they are dead.

-Some enemies will not appear.

-The Save Game Crystals will add 500 HP to Lara's health (like the small medipacks), whereas in the hard mode they will add 200 HP (Lara's total health is 1000 HP).

 

This walkthrough covers the hard version so if you play the easy version don't be surprised by some changes, but those are only to your advantage and this walkthrough will still correctly describe the path through this level.

Crane Area

 

After the initial flyby showing the roofs of the city of London, you find yourself on a small balcony. Run forwards and loop right around the corner. At the S end of the balcony you can find the first savecrystal. It's important to know that you can collect the savecrystals and use them whenever you want to save the game, not only where you found them. Turn around, head back N and drop on the last E balcony. From here go S and safety drop onto the lower balcony. Hop back and run-jump to the yet even lower platform. Drop down S and from here take a run-jump to the far and low platform on the SE crane. Approach it from the N side and climb the crane ladder, backflip into the tunnel and run forwards until you can find an opening in the ceiling.

 

Get up here on its N side, then jump E to the hanging weight, from here further E and finally onto the roof of the building. Don't drop down through the skylight but head to the E end, grab the ledge and drop down to grab another crevice. Climb up into the crawlspace and drop down (automatically) on the other side to find Secret #1, a Large Medipack and a Rocket. Get back into the crawlspace (press Action standing close to it and then the Duck key), get to the left side of the exit and drop down (or do it the "normal" way). If you had dropped down on the other side you would've landed in a spiked fence. Now safety drop down on the road and take a weapon to deal with an attacking soldier.

 

Try to lose as little health as possible; about each shot should be a hit too. Pick up Grenades, MG clips and the MG with Grenade Launcher. Nothing left to be done here so head SW, climb the ladder, carefully walk through the spiked fence and jump up to grab the next ladder. Get back onto the roof with the skylight, head W and jump back up to the last weight. At its end jump to the rope beneath the first weight and from here make your way across various ropes to a far W weight, it's recommended to safe before jumping to the first rope. Now jump to the low balcony with the ladder you can climb to the top which actually was the start of this level.

 

Around the Warehouse Building

 

Head back N and then W around the corner. Look N for a ladder you can climb down. Kill a crow and turn W, jump to the monkeyswing and get further until you can drop on a fenced balcony. Use the zip line to get over into another building, jump through the glass (very little health loss, but no wasted ammo) and head right. Open the door and head straight, get the savecrystal and load the Grenade Launcher (be sure to select Grenades). Shoot the first Grenade at the soldier to the left, then hop back in the passage and return for the second one which will kill him. Get the Large Medipack and the Flue Key (a cutscene kicks in), then return, return and go right at the crossing, then right and open a door (this is a shortcut for later). Return to the window you broke to get into this building, shatter the right one (or jump through) and use the zip line to get to the other side.

 

I found it to be better to not collect the savecrystal now (for it gives you valuable health you probably need later), but to climb down the right ladder, run-jump E and climb down the next ladder. On the courtyard floor hurry to climb the truck, shoot the soldier and a dog, then get down, get the Small Medipack from the soldier and also the savecrystal E, better save now. Reclimb the truck, then jump W over the left part of the fence. Pull the block here once E, then go around it and push it E, then once N and once W below the opening. Climb up here, walk through the lattice and jump through the window. Go left at the junction, collect the savecrystal and open the door. Inside take the Fence Key off the wall and 3x Pistol Ammo and Flares from the shelf. Return, go straight at the crossing now and jump through the window. Walk through the lattice and turn NW, duck and shatter a lattice there.

 

Fight with Lara and Return

 

Now drop down (best with ducking) and watch the flyby, then push/pull the trash box below the opening and climb in. Drop down at the end and duck, shatter the next lattice and get into the corridor (the other way leads you in the same corridor). Go right, left and right at the junctions, find another savecrystal and head down the stairs in a corner of this room. Get Shotgun Ammo and use the two switches on the wall to activate a machine somewhere else. Return through the passage, around the corner Lara (a clone?) is waiting for you and she's not in a good mood... I found it easiest to reshatter the lattice in the passage where you came from (a wonder that it's been there again); be quick and enter the tunnel as Lara is now alerted. When she appears in front of the crawlspace shoot at her from the crawlspace (with manual aiming) until she dies. Get the Shotgun from her dead body and follow the larger passage to an E door, open it and you're back in the outer courtyard.

 

Push the trash box below the opening where you came from, climb up, walk through the lattice and back in the passage kill the attacking soldier. He leaves a Small Medipack, MG Clips and another MG with Grenade Launcher. Head back outside via the broken window, duck and climb off the ledge and drop onto the block, then open the fence door with the Fence Key. Shoot the soldier who leaves Grenades, MG Clips and a MG with Grenade Launcher. Climb the S trash box, jump to the yellow ladder and climb up. Climb the front ledge, turn around and monkeyswing to the other side. It's now a good time to collect the remaining savecrystal one stage above, then drop down to the cage, drop down W and run forwards. Be careful with the falling trapdoor, jump on the slope (backwards) and from here to the next ladder. Get up and also climb the next ladder until you can climb on the left balcony.

 

On the Roofs

 

Drop down once more and from here run-jump E to the edge of a slope, shimmy left around some corners and drop into an alcove. Shatter (!) the window – jumping through might lead to a bug – and drop into the building. Go left, right and right and open the door. Pick up the Crowbar and destroy the nearby box with it, use the switch inside to deactivate the electricity, so that you can run downstairs and collect another savecrystal. Head up now (downstairs you can get on the lower floor where you've been before), stand at the N side of the ceiling trapdoor and jump up to open it. Now climb the ladder, shoot three crows on the roof and get the savecrystal from the camin. Go W, jump on the flatter roof and slide down on the other side. Get to the other camin killing three crows, crawl and get down on the inner edge (W side) and drop down twice.

 

Then get into the crawlspace, shatter the lattice and enter the corridor. Go left, around the corner is a savecrystal, then left and right to open the door here. Open the next door and you're back in a familiar place, go right and kill a soldier who leaves MG Clips and another MG with Grenade Launcher. Return through the last two doors, go left and right and shatter the window on your left. Climb into the alcove, save and jump to the slope's edge on the right. Shimmy left around the corner to the ladder, climb up and at the top shimmy to the left and drop onto the slope. Turn around and run down the passage to a larger courtyard. Find a savecrystal in one corner and a pushable box in another. Pull and push it at the end of the passage where you came from, just below the slope, then climb up, to the left and walk through the barbed wire. Drop down and kill a dog and a crow, don't open the door here – it just leads to a room with three dogs and a deadly gap. Instead, open the door in the N passage and kill a gunman. He leaves the Uzis which are Secret #2.

 

Climb the E ledge and shatter the box for Flash Grenades, then go N and open the larger box for a Small Medipack and 4x Uzi Ammo. Exit through the NE door you can open and you're back in the previous courtyard. Climb the box and up the slope, slide down to arrive at the very start of this level. You now have to return to the top of the N roof. You now can make use of the shortcut in the building, so climb down the various platforms N to the zipline, enter the building, head to the stairway and run up where you can climb the ladder to the roof again. From here run N and run-jump to the small roof SE of the N building. Climb up to the top, get the savecrystal in the door alcove and use the button at the machine. Kill two crows after the cutscene. Climb the S roof and look S to see a windowsill below the top part of the S building.

 

Save and run-jump there holding Action. Shatter the window and run-jump to the rope far in the middle in the room, then swing and jump to the other side (no need to land in the other windowsill, but it might cost some health otherwise). Drop down and open the E door for a shortcut, then open the trapdoor, drop down and open the E door here too. Go ahead, open the door and head forwards. Kill the soldier who leaves  MG Clips, another MG with Grenade Launcher and a Door Key. Go back and twice right collecting a savecrystal on the way, then open the door to the stairs. Go down one stage and out of the door, open the door ahead and head straight and to the far door you can open with the Door Key (just standing in front of it). Go left for another savecrystal, then shatter the right window and climb into the alcove. Turn W and stand-jump to the pole, from here jump to the next and from there to the platform. Jump to the W balcony, shatter the lattice and get into the crawlspace.

 

Stopping the Fires

 

Drop into the passage and get into the right crawlspace, shatter the next lattice and open the middle cabinet for the Rocket Launcher (you have to load a Rocket first to use this one) and Secret #3. Return to the outer balcony, jump back E and from the larger platform stand-jump NE to the slope, grab the edge and drop into a familiar courtyard. Now return all the long, long way up to the top of the N building where you pushed the button on the machine. Run over the S edge of the roof and grab the rope of the scaffolding. Get down and stand-jump to the E slope and from here to the crawlspace N. Shatter the glass and drop on the lowest floor of the large building with another savecrystal. Kill a dog and a baddy (latter leaves Pistol Ammo), then find more Pistol Ammo SW and SE shooting some boxes. Use the button S to open the doors to the courtyard with the truck, then open the NW door with the Flue Key and head downstairs.

 

Follow the passage to the cellar room with a savecrystal, use the valve pipe (deactivates some fires in deep shafts elsewhere, but activates some on the way out of here). Head back when the fires go out, you might have to do this in several steps. Get back up and kill a baddy and a soldier, the latter leaves a Small Medipack. Go to the truck and kill a soldier who leaves Grenades, MG Clips and another MG with Grenade Launcher. Now get through the open fence W, climb the box again and  into the building. Head right, kill another soldier who leaves a Small Medipack, MG Clips and another MG with Grenade Launcher. Shoot the left lattice in this corridor and climb in. Safety-drop down to the floor level (here a fire would've blocked your way if you didn't use the valve wheel in the cellar). Ignore the obvious crawlspace but crawl through the smaller space on the other side, arriving in a crawlspace maze. Go straight, straight and left at the only real junctions and drop down to the second level.

 

The Alert

 

Turn around and kill three rats and five bats after a short crawlspace. Get the savecrystal and drop into the hole far N, kill a guard and take his Pistol Ammo and a Security Card. Head N, then W and kill another approaching guard who leaves Pistol Ammo and a Security Card too. Now head N through the control room and an alert is activated. You're probably low of ammo, so you might ignore the enemy attacking from behind and drop down the NE ladder. Follow the right passage and kill another guard who leaves Pistol Ammo. Go into the N chamber and find a savecrystal, Flares, the Harpoon Gun and 4x Harpoons. Now return into the corridor where you came from, climb up the ladder and kill the guard in the control room, he leaves Pistol Ammo. Go left (the right door has closed at the alarm) and E.

 

Climb back up into the ventilation where you came from, N side. Follow the W corridor killing seven rats and two bats, go straight all the way, left around the corner and kill another rat. Head straight until you fall into a corridor again. Turn around N, head all the way NW, around the corner is a guard you have to quickly take care of as he's better armed than his precedessors. He leaves a Large Medipack, Desert Eagle Clips, the Desert Eagle and a Desk behind. Use one card (only one in your inventory, you don't need more) to open the E door leading back to the previous corridor with the control room. Kill another guard and take his Pistol Ammo with you. Place the Desk in the computer and both the alert is stopped and the covers in front of the two switches lift.

 

Basins and the Electric Machine

 

They are related to two basins, A and B, so they raise and lower the water level of those two. Use only the right (A) switch and exit the control room S, head E and around the corner to meet (and kill) another guard who leaves a Small Medipack, Desert Eagle Clips and another Desert Eagle. Head S all the way and into the last right passage to open the door to basin B with the card. Dive in the basin, turn around and open the upper small underwater door E. Swim through the tunnel until you can use an underwater lever. Swim up again after being carried a bit down, climb out of the water midway through the tunnel and crawl out to the partially dried basin. Now swim to the lower E underwater door, open it and swim through. Thereon, swim and crawl back through the basin as you did before. Swim N and from the water climb into the partially flooded crawlspace and get to the other side, the bottom of basin A. Get the savecrystal and crawl-climb into the space below that platform (from either side). In the water fight the currents and swim into the N tunnel.

 

Follow it and climb out eventually, get another savecrystal and open the door to a previous corridor with the card. Save and enter the N room with the moving power machine (which is of course deadly when you touch it). Your goal is to "lure" the machine to the switch in the middle of the room, for that you need to move the W cage accordingly. First use the E button, then head W, stand close to the cage (the squares with diagonal ledges are always safe). When the machine moves away pull it out, climb on it and then push it once. By doing this some time you can move the cage in front of the middle passage (no need to move it in it) and the cage will get to the electric switch and stops. Kill a guard in the passage, he leaves a Small Medipack, Desert Eagle Clips and another Desert Eagle. Dive back into the S pool, the fans in the underwater area have stopped so swim through the W one and follow the tunnels to reach the first part of the level again.

 

Backtracking for a Secret

 

Swim up for air, you are in the flooded hall you can see from above at the start of this game. In the very NE corner of the water you can find an important savecrystal. Swim up N and climb into either passage. Kill two soldiers (preferably one quickly with a harder weapon, the other one with Pistols). SW is another savecrystal, search the corpses for 2x MG Clips and another two MGs with Grenade Launcher. Head into the SE passage, climb the ladder to your right and get into the crawlspace. Go to the N side and turn S, jump up to open the ceiling trapdoor and climb up, but not N. Get another savecrystal and slide down onto the N roof now. You now have to return all the way to the start of this level and from here to the floor level of the courtyard with the truck. On the latter you can find another savecrystal. Enter the warehouse, kill a baddy and take his Rocket for Secret #4. I wish you happy backtracking to the point where you found the second last savecrystal (on the very top of the building with the water pool where you re-entered this level).

 

To St. Paul's Cathedral, More Secrets in the Finale

 

Go to the very NW corner, run-jump to the platform of the crane and climb the S side of it. Backflip into the crane passage, jump over the hole in the floor and climb up the one in the ceiling. Head S, slide down the slope and jump over to St. Paul's Cathedral. Explore the floor for two soldiers, one leaves a Large Medipack. Get to the middle of the floor and pull out the N of the inner NW blocks. Jump up to climb the higher floor and jump SW to find the Cathedral Key, Secret #5. SE is a Large Medipack. Head out and E, grab the edge of the building here and shimmy left for a ladder. Get down a bit, then drop and grab the lower edge, climb up and enter the passage. Climb down the ladder and enter the central room to find the Eye of Isis for Secret #6.

 

Quickly arm with a heavy weapon and kill four soldiers. Two Small Medipacks, 4x MG Clips, four MGs with Grenade Launcher are what they leave. There's also a savecrystal in the outer perimeter. Climb back up the ladder where you came from, jump over the gap and climb the other ladder, backflip and you're back on the cathedral roof. Head N and drop onto the ledge here, watch the cutscene and afterwards go around the bell tower to find a ladder on the E side. Climb up and jump over the slope to find a savecrystal. Kill two soldiers from above; one leaves Grenades, MG Clips and another MG with Grenade Launcher, the other one the Tomb Raider III CD, Secret #7 – if you found all the secrets you get to see a reward screen now. Head into the bell tower and slide down into the gap to finish this level.
