SOUTH PACIFIC ADVENTURE

No compass here, so I'll give the directions the best I can.

 

STARTING AREA

 

Explore the surroundings of the tent in front of you to pick up flares, 2 X shotgun ammo and 2 X uzi clips. From the starting position, go to the left side of the tent and shoot a serpent hidden in the bushes; there's a crawlspace behind, go inside to find the SECRET #1 hidden under a blue bush: the Rocket Launcher. Go back to the starting area.

 

Now climb the block next to the many wooden boxes and take a standing jump over the slope to the next area with the small lake. Go to the right side to pick up shotgun ammo, turn around and jump into the water to find a hole at the bottom; swim through and at the end of the underwater passage pull the lever to open a door in the starting area (camera shot). Go back there.

 

FIRST LAKE AREA

 

Locate the open door and go through the passage; once in the next outside area, shoot the vulture and jump into the water to locate a closed underwater trapdoor and an underwater passage right from the entrance; swim there and pull the underwater lever to open that trapdoor; swim back to the main lake and, if you want some pickups you can explore the ledges in this area to find a small medipack, flares, uzi ammo and a large medipack (to get this last item you'll need to take a running jump from the central island).

 

UNDERWATER BUSINESS

 

Anyway, jump into the water and dive through the passage with the open trapdoor; surface at the end and climb the ledge with the skeleton to get the UZIS and 2 X uzi clips. Now take a deep breath and swim through the other underwater opening; if you want the next secret, keep an eye on the floor and when, at half way, you see the second tile with grass, look for a small crawlspace hidden by the plants and swim through to find the SECRET #2: a rocket. There's an air hole in the ceiling here so you can take a breath.

 

Go back to the main tunnel and continue swimming but this time next to the ceiling; when you reach a T-junction, turn left and find an air hole in the ceiling with the SHOTGUN and shotgun ammo. Go back to the junction and take the other branch, swing to a wider room with a small crawlspace, go through and continue until you can surface in an open area.

 

SECOND LAKE AREA

 

Shoot the native at the top of the wall to your left and explore the corner ledges in this area to find flares, a small medipack and a large medipack; use the wheel-switch next to the closed door to open it and go inside, quickly run to the corridor to your left to avoid the rolling boulder.

 

FIRST POOL ROOM

 

Run up the ramp and in the next area deal with two natives and explore the corridors behind the arches to find a small medipack, uzi clips and 2 X shotgun shells. Jump into the central pool, pick up the shotgun shells at the bottom and swim through the underwater opening to find a room with another wheel-switch; use it to open the door in the previous area and alert another native too. Go back there, shoot the native and continue to find a large room with two fires; climb the blocks in the corners to pick up 2 X small medipack, 2 X uzi clips and shotgun ammo.

 

FIRST WOODEN BRIDGE AREA

 

Go to the outside area and shoot a couple of natives, drop into the pit and search under the bones to find uzi clips and a SKULL KEY. Detour for a secret: from the wooden bridge, look to the building you came from and spot a ladder in the right side, behind the palm tree; go there and jump to grab it, climb to the top and go left to find uzi clips; now go to the opposite side of the room, climb a block and jump to the opening in the corner to find a large corridor; sprint against the moving spiked wall and quickly go inside the niche to your left to avoid the deadly trap; once the wall has passed, go to the place where it initially was to find the SECRET #3: another rocket. Climb the nearby block and go back to the outside area with the bridge.

 

PATH WITH TRAPS

 

Now continue through the grassy passage but watch out for the snake hidden in the grass, use the skull key at the back of the pillar to open the trapdoor in the corner and climb down the ladder. When you find a slope take a standing jump, slide and jump in last moment to grab the edge of the spiked pit, continue avoiding a spike trap coming from the wall and the falling debris further on. In the next cave you'll find more falling debris and a native; light a flare and search the dark corner for a ledge you can climb to find flares, uzi clips and a small medipack (watch out for the native spitting poisonous darts). Go back down and in the adjacent room with the deadly pit shoot the native and climb the ladder; after the crawlspaces you'll find a large outside area with a big pyramid.

 

PYRAMID AREA

 

Drop down to the lower ground and turn right to see the flares on a spiked tile near the corner (walk slowly to pick them up) but watch out for the native at your back). In the opposite side of this area there are several niches with shotgun shells, uzi clips and more flares. Now go to the bottom of the pyramid and take a standing jump onto the flatter slope. Detour for a secret: climb the block to you right and take a diagonally standing jump to the slope to your right, shimmy right and hoist up onto the top of the block in the corner, continue following the only possible path (watch out for the spiked pit) to find the SECRET #4: another rocket. Go back to the first flatter slope. Now you know what to do: take running and/or standing jumps when necessary from slope to slope until you reach the other side of the pyramid.

 

To save the next spiked pit, simply jump onto the slope to your right, slide/grab the edge and shimmy left to the very end where you can drop at the top of a block. Shoot a native from the distance but don't drop down yet, take a standing jump to the next ledge around the corner and a running jump to the next slope in the corner of the pyramid. Continue jumping onto the flatter tiles and take a last running jump at the end to grab the edge of the far wall, hoist up, take a standing jump with grab to land into the niche with the switch and pull it to open a door somewhere.

 

SECOND POOL ROOM

 

Now jump back to the top of the wall and safely drop down to ground floor; explore this area to find a lot of pickups: a small medipack, 2 X shotgun ammo and 3 X uzi clips. I found nothing in the pool. Go back to the corner where you entered into this area and climb the block next to the spikes; again, take a running jump to the slope in the corner of the pyramid but this time take a running jump to the flat platform on the other side with the wooden wall, shoot the natives coming from the opening (here is the door you opened time ago with the wall switch) and pick up flares and shotgun shells near the corner. Go through the passage with the open door.

 

LAST SECRETS

 

In the next outside area, shoot the natives and if you want the last secrets read this couple of paragraphs; if not, scroll down to ***.

 

Go to the left side of the wooden bridge, and from the very corner of the pool, turn to face the big palm tree, jump back onto the slope and immediately jump to grab the edge of the roof above the bridge; hoist up and pick up the shotgun shells. Turn around and take a running jump to the top of the roof with the burning dino below; from a corner of this roof you can take a running jump to the crack in the nearby wall, shimmy right, hoist up and get the SECRET #5: another rocket.

 

Drop to ground floor and cross the wooden bridge, advance through the caves avoiding a couple of wall spike traps to finally reach an outside area with a yellow lava river. Shoot the native and approach to the corner of the river, turn left and jump to grab the edge of the ledge above; hoist up and go straight ahead, turn a bit left and take a running jump to a flat ledge to the right of the flowing lava river to get the SKULL KEY. Take another running jump back to the central stone bridge and turn left to spot a wooden closed door in the corner of this area. From the flatter part of this stone bridge, take a diagonally running jump to the slope next to the closed wooden door, slide, grab the edge, shimmy left, hoist up and use the key to open the door and get the SECRET #6: another rocket. Make your way to go all the way back to the area with the pool and wooden bridge (at the top of a wall in this area you can pick up shotgun shells and uzi clips, and perhaps you need to shoot a vulture on your way back).

 

BIG HUT AREA

Once in the area with the wooden bridge, cross the bridge and turn left, there’s an open door in that rocky wall; continue to another outside area with a big hut and shoot a couple of natives, there are uzi clips in the small water hole and more uzi clips at the back of the big hut. In the front wall of that hut locate the different part (movable block); push the block twice and once inside pull the wheel-switch to open the exit door outside and alert more natives.

 

THE SWAMP

 

Continue and in the next swamp area jump only onto the tiles with the blue bushes to cross to the other side; you’ll find another large area soon and be greeted by two raptors. There are shotgun shells in the far left corner. Jump onto the central mound and take a running jump to grab the edge of the rocky wall with the different texture, hoist up and drop from the other side to find shotgun shells, uzi clips and a wall switch to open the tall door outside and alert two natives. Go back there and after fight with the natives go through the open door to deal with more natives.

 

INNER AREAS

 

In this room climb the central stone structure and if you want extra pickups take a running jump to the ledges to your left to get 2 X shotgun shells and uzi clips. From the top of this central structure drop from the side opposite the entrance and pull the wall switch to raise a trapdoor at your back. Climb again to the top and take a running jump to grab the edge of that raised trapdoor. Run down the stairs and in the rooms with the lonely pillars pick up flares, 2 X uzi clips and shotgun shells; in the last room pull the wheel-switch, shoot the natives and go back to the room with the central stone structure. Locate the open door in a corner.

 

FINAL ROOM

 

In the next room, if you go always to your right when possible, you’ll find flares, shotgun shells and uzi clips in a corner. In the diametrically opposite corner of the room there’s a block you can climb, jump from pillar to pillar with the goodies on top to get shotgun shells, uzi clips and a small medipack. Now climb again the same lower pillar but this time jump to the pillar and ledges in the direction of the entrance (drop into the small hole in between the pillars to pick up shotgun shells and uzi clips). Spot the wall switch to your left in the central ledges, take a running jump there and pull it to open a door somewhere.

 

Now jump onto the ledges all around the room in an anticlockwise direction avoiding all the blade traps the best you can until you can jump to the ledge in front of the open door; here, from the left side, near the corner, take a standing jump to the next corner where the blade can’t hurt you and from there another standing jump to grab the edge under the last blade, hoist up and get your prize: the URBUTOO STAR.

 

Now duck and crawl backwards and drop keeping the duck key pressed to avoid the last blade and be prepared for the final battle with a bunch of natives spitting poisonous darts. One of them will drop the SERPENT STONE; use this gem to open the door near the corner and advance to an outside area finishing the level.
