After the opening fly-by, we find Lara standing at the entrance of her home. You can, at any given time, open the front gates and approach the bike to leave for your next adventure, but there are many things to be done in here. Since you don't have the key for the front door or for the quadbike track, follow the alley near the latter all the way to the training area in the back yard.

You can go through the obstacle course at your own leisure as there isn't a timer tracking your performance. Halfway through you'll be introduced to a couple of new moves, such as the swingpole jump, jumping upwards and backwards while hanging, and it's also worth mentioning you can grab climbable walls directly from water surface. At the very end of the course, Lara will spot a plinth in the distance with the MANOR KEY. Grab it and retrace your steps a little to find a switch by a gate leading back to the entrance gardens of the manor.

Unlock the front door and enter the manor. Straight ahead, by the clock, are two packs of flares. Enter the kitchen, through the left corridor, and open Lara's walk-in freezer to find a small medipack inside, plus an intriguing switch which triggers Sophia's maniacal laughter... Back in the kitchen, press the button to open a door to the backyard (you'll certainly notice the gated area across from the door, that's for much later), then grab the large medipack in the dining room before making your way to the indoor training gym.

You'll learn a couple of new moves here as well: thanks to the wonders of the TombEngine you can grab and shimmy along diagonal walls and squeeze through narrow gaps in crawlspaces. A couple of tricks have been added to Lara's repertoire while monkey swinging as well, so make sure you check them out. Afterwards, enter the swimming pool and find an underwater lever beneath the diving board to open a hidden door back in the main hall.

And that's where we'll go next. Upstairs, you'll notice the music room requires a key, so go the other way around. Ignore Lara's bedroom for a moment and find a button between the plant and the plinth with shotgun shells. It opens a door right below you, which we'll get to it in a minute. Right now, find the hidden opening through the hanging carpet decoration next to the plant and go in to retrieve the VAULT KEYCARD.

Now enter Lara's bedroom. Straight across from the door is a lone bookshelf which, on closer inspection, reveals a dislodged book. Push it to open the armory locker next to the bed. Inside, retrieve your trusty PISTOLS, plus a large medipack and a golden rose for SECRET #1. Before leaving, you can get a small medipack from the bathroom.

The button you've pressed earlier opened a bookshelf in the main hall, so go downstairs to find an alcove with nothing but a switch inside. It opens a passage down to the underground aquarium, in the corridor leading to the indoor gym. Down there, you'll find another MANOR KEY, but don't rush back to use it yet. Check out the mirrored marble floor and you'll notice there's a secret passage on the ceiling above the bookshelf, so climb it to the top and dive into the aquarium. Swim all the way around to the other end, get a large medipack from the elevated floor and, just behind the nearby pillar, you'll find an underwater lever. Pull it and quickly swim back out the way you came.

We now have access to the trophy room, so back to the main hall and use the newly revealed switch to open the next door and get inside. Take a moment to observe Lara's treasures, then proceed to take the SHOTGUN and ammo from the plinth in the northwest corner. Loop around the pillar and pull to the ledge with the sarcophagus to find a golden rose (SECRET #2) hidden behind it. In the alcove to the right of the fireplace there's a jumpswitch, activate it and cross the room to find the RACE TRACK KEY near the display case for the Philosopher's Stone.

Before going outside, head upstairs and go right on the landing now to unlock the music room with the key that's been sitting in your backpack. No loose books on any of the bookshelves here, but the middle row of the three shelves next to the entrance hides a pushblock: pull it back out twice to reveal a secret passage housing a mysterious SECRET KEY and a switch. The switch opens a passage behind the couch and television set. Go up the stairs there and move the metal box out of the way to reveal another switch which, in turn, opens the door you've just run past on your way up here. Retrace your steps a little to find an opening to the top of the monkey swing in the gym.

Jump on top of it and monkey swing to the grated trellis in the back, which you can use to climb up and around to a room above. Squeeze into the crawlspace and push the box twice, then loop around it and push the switch to open a nearby door to the attic. Ignore the next box for a second and run right past it, in the alcove to the left there is a broken piece of wall: kick it down to reveal a crawlspace with a golden rose for SECRET #3.

On the other side of the attic, find more flares and drag the shelves in an alcove next to the wall, then go around to find shotgun shells and another golden rose that were hidden beneath it, making this SECRET #4. Now it's time to finally move that rusted metallic box out of the way and head down the stairs to the main hall to go outside.

Unlock the gate to the quadbike course and go in. As with the obstacle course, there's no time pressure, so speed around as you see fit. There's an important change here in this area: when you get to the cave underground, jump over the ramps while sticking to the left hand side to find a rocky ramp by the wall. While this was just a shortcut in the original TR3 manor, it now houses a couple of secret doors you can open with the key and keycard in your backpack.

Enter the secret vault and approach the next set of doors for a series of very impressive exhibition displays. If you go straight through the next door ahead, you can press the button next to the glass case for a panoramic view of Pandora's Box. Backtrack a little and enter the Egyptian exhibit. As you approach the glass case, a gate opens behind you and two komodo dragons escape, so deal with their attempted ambush. Get the golden rose (SECRET #5) from the plinth by the glass case before going back to investigate the now raised gate.

Another three komodo dragons have broken free from their cages. You can find shotgun shells beneath both of the metal boxes in this room, then go through the digging site to find two komodo dragons who had almost made good their escape. Leave the secret vault as well as the quadbike behind — its purpose has been fulfilled.

From the edge of the opening back to the start of quadbike course, do a running jump to land on the wall to the left, then follow it around to jump to the arched rooftop of the pool. In the corner there is a trapdoor you can pull open, drop inside and throw the floor switch inside. This opens a secret alcove inside the manor, in the corridor leading from the main hall to the dining room. Get back in there to retrieve SECRET #6, one final golden rose, and witness that gate in the backyard swing open.

Exit through the kitchen and enter Lara's secret garden; then approach the greenhouse and the gate opens... You can play some of Lara's inspirational music with the stereo system. Before leaving, do climb up on the tree for one last line of Lara's thoughts. Now it's a good time to pack things up and leave through the front entrance gate of the manor and approach the bike to finish this level.
