Shoot the crate to retrieve the Ankh, the breastplate, explosive arrows and the
guard's keys. Use them to open the rusty door, go down and climb forward. At
the end, go right and climb. Kill two white SAS. Climb the ice wall and kill another
SAS. Climb the ice pillar. At the top, kill another white SAS who lets drop the
Uzis. Climb on the left and shoot the crate to retrieve the crossbow and the
crowbar. Use it on the switch to open the rusty door on the other side. Before
sliding down the big icy ramp, jump in diagonal to the left. At the end of the
ramp make a left diagonal jump to land into the opening (you can also jump
ahead and grab then shift left to the opening).
Go down the ice ladder
then slide until the end. In the little room, go left: a camera shows
ammunitions. They are behind the pillar on the bridge where you stand. Make a
jump in diagonal, right or left. On the sloped blocks jump immediately to land
behind the pillar. Pick up all the goodies: this is SECRET #1.
Now to continue the
level you have the choice, either you can go down to the main area from where
the secret is located, or )and this is easier) return to the little room by
using the same angled jump-then jump, climb in the northeast corner, go down a
few blocks, jump to a black ladder and go down. (If you have trouble grabbing
the ladder, you can safety drop at the cost of some health.)
In the main area (that
we shall call Area A) kill two ninjas. Go right and walk in the water to find
another area (Area B) Kill two ninjas. Pick up a small medipack before opening
the door. Also check the area to the right of the door for the LASER SIGHT.
Get the ammo, pick up
the shotgun and pull the switch: a metallic rolling gate opens in Area A.
(Ignore the barking dog for now. He can't get to you, and you can't get to
him.) Go back there. In the yard that is now accessible, Lara is looking up to
a fuse that must be shot later. Enter the building, kill two ninjas (one in the
room, and one who tries to sneak up on you from behind). In one office (to your
right) and in the toilets (to your left, down the ramp: kill the two white SAS
on the way) you can find ammo and small medipacks. In the office up the ramp
with a pink window, kill two ninjas: pick up the revolver and a big medipack
that they drop.
Going back down (the
left fork going down the ramp leads to a door that's closed right now), shoot
the fuse in the yard with revolver+lasersight. Before riding the quad you can
find a secret. Light a flare, look up, shoot the opening and jump to it.
On the roof, shoot the
crate to retrieve arrows and the two armour legs. Lower Lara back down through
the crawl space, get on the quad and turn left out of the garage, then turn
right to the beginning of Area A (where the black ladder is), and go down the
icy tunnels to a new area: Area C. (Glide along either side of the deep pit to
reach the short tunnel leading to Area C.) Dismount, enter the building, kill a
white SAS who lets drop the magnetic card, and pull a switch: a camera shows
the opening of another metallic rolling gate in Area B. Pick up the nearby
large medi-pack. After killing two more SAS when you get back outside (one
straight ahead and the other lurking to your left), return to Area B with the
quad (taking a right when you reach Area A, and avoiding the water). After the
new tunnel to the S, jump over the pit with the quad. Quickly dismount and kill
3 ninjas, then pick up the goodies they drop. Use the crowbar on the switch on
the ground, located in the far alcove. (You have to be turned around, facing
north, before the crowbar will work.) A gate opens in the alcove near where you
shot the 3 ninjas.
Enter the area with
many wooden boxes. Shoot another fuse in the SE corner. Continue with the quad
(but first, kill 4 ninjas in the next area and drop down into a hole in the SW
corner for some revolver ammo) and follow up the ramp. On the upper level,
dismount and enter a building on the left by climbing over a block at the end,
and kill an SAS. In a corner of the corridor, shoot a grated opening and climb
up, shoot another opening and pull the switch in the room with the engine to
open the door of the other building across the bridge. But before going back to
the quad, continue up the corridor (where you shot out the grated opening) and
go to a courtyard to kill two ninjas for fun, then use the crates to jump to
the upper ledges for extra goodies.
Enter the new building
with the quad. Go down the ramps until a bridge over water. Leave the quad
after this bridge and continue by foot in the icy tunnels.
Watch out for the tiny
pit as you jump up to the starting point. The fall down there won't kill you,
but you'll be unable to climb out. Take a couple of standing jumps S to get to
the next bend in the tunnel, then turn right and walk, don't run, to avoid the
devilishly disguised lethal pits in your path. When you've passed the second
pit, look up to your right and see a building with a closed rusty door at the
top of an icy ramp.
Go staight ahead,
jumping over another pit, and make a standing jump into the W opening. In the
little room, turn around and lower Lara down through a crawl space. The fixed
camera does not help to see a switch on the ground. Use the crowbar to open the
rusty door above. Come back and climb the ramp leading to the building, using
the flat blocks. (Easier said than done.)
When you enter, notice
the closed rusty door on the right. In the room with the sentry gun, push the
first wooden box, and enter the corridor on the left. Up the ladder in the room
with the engine, pull the switch:
the rusty door opens. Return there, dive in the hole of water and swim under
the ice until a room from where you can destroy the sentry gun.
Climb on a box to
reach an opening. In the corridor, go down the ladder, kill two SAS, pick up
the electronical key on a desk and pull a switch to open a metallic rolling
gate in Area A. Return to the quad and to the main area. To open the next
metallic gate, shoot the fuse near by. Enter the new building with the quad,
kill all the baddies, pass the sentry gun, go up the ramp. Climb to the top of
the white train and use the crowbar on the switch to open the side doors of the
train. Go to the other side, through the train, and up the ramp with the quad.
In the large corridor, dismount and crawl over a couple of wooden boxes. In the
red room, kill two SAS and pull the switch to open a white door in the large
corridor.
Go there in the quad
and dismount again so you can climb over another wooden box to arrive in a big
room with beds where goodies can be found. Over one of the beds (upper bunk, SE
corner), shoot an opening and crawl in. Drop down through a hole and pull a
switch that opens a red door located below the white train. Return to the big
room with beds. Jump to the upper floor and use the crowbar on a switch to open
a red door in the building of Area B. Kill all the baddies and go back with the
quad where the white train is. In the room below, you can pick up the Plutonium
crystal (a camera shows the red door closed in Area A).
Go to Area B in the
quad, enter the building near where you heard the barking dogs you couldn't get
to before, kill two dogs in the corridor and two more in the next room over a
crawl space. In the next crawlspace, find a room with an engine and push the
red button to open the metallic gate in the area nearby that you can see (we
shall call it Area D). To find Area D, go back to the main area, turn right and
go into the tunnel with the quad.
Just before the area with the lake, there is a closed white door on the
left. Shoot the fuse located in front of the door (look up) to open it. Enter
in, kill a SAS and use the magnetic card to open the door near by. The next
double red doors open automatically. Find your way in the big grey area until a
ramp. Jump on a side of the ramp, and make a series of alternative jumps from
one side to the other side of the ramp to go up. Push a red button to open un
underwater door in the lake. Return there and dive.
Swim until a room where you pick up the Uranium crystal. A camera shows
the opening of the red gate in the main area (this door opens when you have
both the two crystals). Return to area A on the quad, dismount and enter the
newly opened door. Go down until you reach a big cave. Climb the blocks on the left.
Turn back and jump to the long platform. Shoot the crate to retrieve the two
armour arms and a mysterious key (useless I think). Jump back into the corridor
and use the guard's keys to open the double red doors. Use the electronical key
on the white machine in the corner. Kill two ninjas and return to the big cave:
there is now an opening under the long platform. Go down there and enter a room
with a central pyramid. Place the plutonium and uranium crystals at the bottom
of the pyramid: the pyramid opens.
