Walkthrough Dutchy
There are some saves included in this
walkthrough, they have a number. You can always change the number before
pasting the save in your folder, so the save will fit correctly in your game.
Maybe the download of some saves doesn't automatically start, in that case use "right click and save as".
Many of the rooms
have more connections than I can mention here, this is the way I got through.
You start by falling down
the shaft and drop in the water; this is the First Room. In this level are rats
everywhere, won’t mention them all.
The Golden Key.
Turn W and go for a
triangular hole in the left portal; swim in and you will see a wall lever to
your left (you cannot use it now, but remember where it is), but first swim in
the tunnel in the back right corner (NW). Follow it and climb out; shoot the
Rats and to your left is a green gate, go right and just around the corner is a
hole in the ceiling, climb up the ladder. Go down into the stable, shoot the
vase for Uzi ammo and shoot the panel N. Jump and grab the climbable
wall to make your way left and up through a crawlspace to the Golden Key.
Take it and the former green gate opens; go back through the crawlspace, climb
right and down to back flip into the stable. Go up SW and make your way back
down the ladder. If you go S and left at the waterhole you’ll find a vase in an
alcove to the right, shoot it to get a Small Medipack.
Go back to the ladder and W to enter that green gate.
The First Star.
Stand left at the next room
and if you just run into this room you will land on a flat ledge. From there
you can do some butchering. Jump to the other side and from this ledge shoot
the 2 crates under water (E). If you happen to run into some BIG mosquitoes,
kill them too. Explore the underwater tunnels you opened by shooting the crates
and pull the 2 underwater levers. Get back and climb out at the ledge with the
snake statues, you will notice that there is a block that raised S. Enter the
cave W, keep left and climb up. Follow the passage to the right. You can drop
on to the raised block there; from there you will see the First Star E.
Go get it, dive down into
the pool and make your way back into the cave W. This time keep right, climb
up, drop out of the passage and hang, shimmy left and drop onto a break ledge.
Jump back and you are on a safe block. Shoot the vase for Arrows and
look E to spot some more ammo. Jump around the block on the ceiling and grab
the opening to get Secret #1 (29), Uzi-
Shotgun- and Revolver ammo and a Large Medipack.
Timed Exit.
Go to the W cave again, the
left passage and on the top turn left. There's a lever, Timed, that will raise
a second block which will help you to get back out of this room. (It is possible to make your jump and grab the exit from
the first raised block, I tried it and it worked, that way the Timed run isn’t
necessary)
When you are back in the
corridor, go S and find the tunnel you came out of (blue water) and swim back E
to the First Room, get some air, and swim to the opposite E side. This is the
room with the faces; swim into the right hand small face E and up, and follow
the tunnel. Get out, notice the gate to your left and go right. Get into the
crawlspace, kill some rodents on your path, and pull the lever (screenshot of a
trapdoor opening up).
Pushing for the First
Golden Serpent.
Get back, swim W to the
First Room, get some air, swim straight down into the tunnel in the floor.
Follow through and take a right at the end (just through the triangular hole)
and swim up (that first right tunnel leads up to
the passage where you got the First Star). In one of the corners of this
room you will find the trapdoor you just opened in the SE corner. Get out and
you are in the spike room. You will see 2 levers and a pedestal with the Golden
Serpent.
Look in the left corner (SW)
from where you came in and push the block 3 times. You will also hear a door
opening, and on the 3rd push you put the block on a tile that disabled one of
the spike traps in the spike room. Now push the block into the opposite corner
(NW) on the tile, that was the 2nd spike trap. (Notice the lever behind the gate SE; get back here after
the Serpent.)
Go to the spike room and
pull the levers. A door opens in the SW corner. Get in and push the block all
the way to the end to disable a spike trap to the right. More spikes N, get
over the spikes with the Flares. Notice the grey Tile between the spike traps!
Go into the passage E, push the second block on the right all the way in, go
back to the W, left over the spike trap and to the block E, push it so you can
enter left. There’s a block in the NE corner, pull it twice to the W. Now go
around and over the spike trap with the Flares and into the passage SE, left
and get behind the block, now push it all the way to the W and left onto the
grey tile. Back into the passage E and move the remaining block onto the grey
tile there (twice E).
When the spike traps
are disabled, take the Flares from the spike trap W and get back into
the passage SE, pull the block back a couple of times and for the last time go
around to exit this place. Back in the spike room you can now take the First
Golden Serpent. A door opens in the S room, so go back there and pull
the lever there. The water in the First Room drains.
Some Skipped Levers.
Go to the trapdoor where you
came in and drop down. Look for a lever in the SW corner, pull it (#1:
screenshot of a door) and dive into the hole in the floor. Make your way
through the tunnel, turn left and immediately left again. Go in N and follow it
up to get back in the corridor where you got the 1st Star. Go N and
left, left to find the hole in the floor where you first came up from (S) and
climb down the ladder. Go S and into that passage SW, in here is the first
lever you have seen, get to that lever and pull it (#2: screenshot of door the
opening up).
First Room, Drained, the
Second Star.
Go back and drop and hang
from the edge, shimmy right to the end and pull up. Jump S and you can enter
the First Room (without water this time) and go over to the next room (N) with
the red striped ceiling. Get in to the corridor on the left and find the block
around the corner, pull it out and aside. Now turn left and follow the corridor
(notice the closed door on your way) and enter the first corridor again. In the
alcove where you got the block from you can pull a lever now and the former
door will open. Go there (passage E) and get your Second Star.
Use the Stars.
Go back to the First Room
and dive in the bottom tunnel, follow until you can turn left and get out,
climb the ladders. You are now back in the room with the flood/drain-lever, to
the left as you enter. Re-flood the level, go back to the First Room and swim
to the Face room E, into the right hand face tunnel. Follow through and get
out. The gate you saw before (left) is now open. Find the place to put your
stars right and left and the next door will open (it's wise to save here).
Nasty Jumps.
Keep your distance from
those doors and time your jump and grab to the breakable ledge. Shimmy left
around the corner and pull up to the right hand corner of the flame ledge you
will not burn. Turn around facing N and plan your next set of jumps; first hop
back against the wall when the burner is down, run jump to that sloped block N
and grab it. Time the burner and pull up, slide down onto the next slope and
jump onto the break ledge, run jump a bit left to the far break ledge and grab
it or maybe even run immediately onto that safe ledge left. Shoot the vase for Uzi
ammo.
Jump and grab over to the burner block, pull up in the corner and run over the burner, through the doors and stand at the end of the floor. Take one step back and run in so you’ll land on the slope. Then jump and grab the break ledge, pull up and run jump and grab to the next, pull up and run jump onto the last. Stand jump and grab and you should be there (savegame).
The Big Room.
You are now
at the Big Room. Enjoy the flyby and notice all the levers.
Jump to the stone bridge (hang, drop and slide jump to land on it), turn around
and on the other side high up is the door we are aiming for (but it will take
some time). To your left is a gate (tiger room); to your right you will see a
dark push block.
Jump in the water below and get the hell out!! You are at the ground floor.
Kill whatever lurks in the pool and have a look at the 2 gates with the levers;
an underwater lever, and one with a spike trap.
Tiger Room, the Bronze Key.
Swim into the
tunnel N, find the lever and pull it to open a trapdoor. Now swim into the
tunnel S. Ooops!! Get out fast and kill that Croc.
Get in again,
go straight and turn right, follow the tunnel and get out in the tiger room
(wonder why they call it that??). When you're done find a cave on your right,
go in and push the block once and then push it left all the way, go left and
shoot the crate, take the torch, light it and find some more surprise Tigers on
your way.
Go to the
Tiger room and light the two wall torches; a spike trap on the high ledge is
now off (and a trapdoor to a Secret opened up). Leave the Torch and go to the
NE corner, backflip onto the slanted block and jump to grab the higher ledge.
Push Blocks.
Start
pushing, the push block NE goes on the tile NE you just pulled up to. A
platform goes up so you can push the SE one into the wall SE. Another platform
rises, but first pull the block SE back out and enter that alcove, climb up S
and use a slanted block up there to back flip and jump to a crack in the W
wall, shimmy left and pull up to get Secret #2 (30), Revolver ammo, Grenades
and a Large Medipack.
Now go to the
block NW and move it onto the far tile on the N ledge, then the last block SW.
First push it E once and that will disable the spikes at the lever on ground
floor of the Big Room. Now move the block to the Tile on the W ledge. The
spikes are down at the Bronze Key. Get back down to the Tiger Room and take the
Bronze Key from the pedestal. On taking the key, the exit gate of the
Tiger room opens E.
The Flood
Lever.
Go to the Big
Room, drop down to the bridge and make your way to the other side. Climb up to
the arch, push the dark block twice and then aside to left or right (get your
guns out and take those mosquito 747's out). Pull the lever (flood lever).
Swim down in the lower area and into the small tunnel S where you met with croc
#2 and go sharp left. At the end pull the under water
lever, go back and pull the underwater lever that is on ground floor S (maybe
you need some air in between). The gate N opens up, so swim in there and up at
the wall lever, find the underwater lever there and use it to drop some ropes
out of the ceiling so you can swing over to the exit later.
Open the
Exit.
Swim to the
underwater lever under the Tiger room arch W (#1: screen of the N door). Go up
and drain the room again with the Flood lever in the room E and go jump down
into the pool below. Climb out to the ground floor, pull the lever (#2: this
opens the N (exit) door of the Big Room). Swim into the tunnel S, straight and
follow through to the Tiger room, go E and out to the Big Room. Go over to the
E side arch and jump to grab the first rope. Aim a bit right of the second rope
and swing to jump to it. Then go into the open door N.
Drop the
Boulder Puzzle, the Silver Key.
Enter the
passage and run/jump around the corner to land on the break ledge, run onto the
blue ledge, crawl in backwards and shimmy left around the next corner. Go up,
and straight on; on your right side is a gate with some ammo (you'll get back
here later), jump over the lava pits, go to the lever and pull it. Go down in
the last pit you jumped, kill a rat and push the block N into the wall (spikes
behind you will stop). Grab up E to the ledge above the spike trap and spot the
boulder, spikes and lever. Turn around and jump over to the other side, the
gate closes. Walk into the next room, turn around to find the jump lever and
use it; a block will rise behind you.
Climb the
block and jump over the pillars, shoot the wooden panel N, jump grab to the
break ledge. Run into the passage and notice the block to your right. Go left and
look for a crack in the ceiling that holds a set of Bones you have to shoot,
then get that push block from the corridor and pull it in this room. Place it
in front of the face tile on the N wall and a block lowers to the right. Go
into the opening and get Secret #3 (31), Uzi- and Shotgun ammo, Flares
and a Large Medipack.
Go out and E
to where you pulled the block from, there was a crowbar lever behind it, use it
to lower a block on ground floor. Get back there
over the lava pit, pull the block out and aside. Enter and climb up left, pull
the lever to re-open the exit gate. Get the Torch from the floor at the lever
and go back out and E to the room with the Boulder on the rope. Jump to the E
ledge to ignite your Torch and burn the rope from standing on the ground floor.
Then climb back up because you can now pull the lever at the spike trap. Go N
and climb up left at the passage with the dark block, jump E and return to the
gate with the ammo you saw before.
Now jump S
over the ladder hole in the floor and go right. Go to the pedestal with the Silver
Key. When you take it the gate with that ammo opens up, go back E and left
to find it and go in. When you pull the lever in here the other gate opens
(Timed), so you have to be quick (run/jump over the ladder hole, don't grab)
and you're in. Drop down and go through the
teeth doors… watch out!!
Go take the
zip-line down and land on the break ledge, jump to the grassy slopes left or
right and start jumping to and fro and make your way to the solid ground.
Follow the path into the next very nice room (You can find your own way, but
here is how I did it:
Stand on the edge of the ledge a little to the left (because of the low
ceiling) and aim for the top of the big slanted pillar with the climbable
surface. Jump back and run/jump so you start to slide down this high pillar.
Slide and jump to a slanted block, jump and land on a break ledge, do a running
jump aimed right to land on a grassy ledge (Pfew!!).
Shoot the
wooden panel N and jump up the slope. Time the jump over the pit and run around
the left corner and stop quickly there. Shoot the next panel and time your next
moves. Run jump and grab, pull up and slide, jump and grab the next ledge. Go
around the corner past the burner, the spike trap in front of you (S) should be
off.
So get the push block S and pull it as far as it will go, jump around the block
and push the other block E under the pillar on to the tile. Now push the first
block to the other pillar on to the spike trap (which is now disabled) and the
gate S will now open. When you just slide down here, Lara will go over some
nasty pits in the slope, so don’t jump just slide. At the end of the slide run
from the break ledge and slide jump and grab the ledge. Climb up to the right
and you’ll get to another set of slides. From the second slope; jump and grab
the climbable wall in front of you, climb left and up.
Don't go down
in to this room but take a jump from the doorway to the ledge NE, near that
door. From there jump SE and behind the Inca statue, pull the lever (Timed) to
open the door. Run and jump to the ledge so you land on the corner, turn left
and side jump right through the door (at least that is how I did it).
End of this
great level; let's go to the Secret Gold Mine.
6: The Secret
Gold Mine. Revised 18-05-2010.
Save
immediately when you start the level, you are sliding down a slope. Be sure to
jump at the end of that first slope and grab the corridor in front of you.
Slide again and jump, then jump grab the lava pit and you will come to some
teeth doors, nasty buggers. You have to run NW through them and jump up into
the next passage with teeth doors (savegame). Pass the
next two sets of doors, you are at a spike trap below, stand in left corner of
the ledge and run as soon as they go down, into the next corridor (or do a stand
jump and grab into that passage). You are now at the:
Big Lava
Cave.
Enjoy the
flyby and run jump left around the corner to the ledge. Have a look left to
spot the closed door and hop back, grab the edge of the ledge and shimmy right
to make your way to the central ledge in the middle of the cave. If you look
around, you will see some Flares on a hanging ledge NW over the big lava pit,
jump over there, grab the Flares and then jump to the next ledge W, one
more jump S and spot the crawl space up to the right. Climb in there. Pull the lever and that door opens in the E, go back
the way you came and on your way notice the Big Guy, standing in the
door way. Take care of him when you get close.
The Star.
Go into this room and turn right at the pit, jump up, follow through left and
climb up to the right. Take some Uzi ammo from the vase and go back to
get to the other side of the room, jump over the pit with the break ledge
(stand one step back, stand jump/stand jump). Climb in the corridor, open the
ceiling hatch, go up left and pull the lever there. The lava pit in the room
you just came from flooded. Go back and at the pit, jump with a left curve onto
the low slope next to the burner pit so you’ll slide into the water. Swim into
the tunnel and follow it up till you can climb out, pull up S and back flip
onto the ledge behind you. Climb up W and jump over to the S side. Face the
opening W, take one step back and pull out your pistols. Save and run in so
you’ll go just over the edge onto the slope below, while shooting a panel. When
you land, jump forwards into the alcove and get the Star.
Now turn and
jump to the grassy floor SE. Yes, you will have to go over these spikes. Stand
one step back from the first trap so Lara is facing you and you can see the
spikes on the bottom of your screen, time your run and run fast through those
awful spikes (when you start the run as soon as the first spikes came up you
can make it) (savegame). Keep
trying and go around the corner to open the floor hatch. Drop down, you’re in
the small lava room again, go W and back to the central ledge in the Big Lava
Cave, but keep on shimmying right around till you reach a ledge at the S end,
here is a push block (yes it’s no door). Push it in and enter the room, place
your Star and another door opens. Get out and you will see this door over the
slope to the right. Stand at the edge of the floor facing W and back flip over
the slope. Grab on to the edge as you slide off, shimmy left and you are at the
door. Run in (from one step back) so you will land on the slope below, slide
and slide jump to that break ledge, jump forward and a bit left of the ledge to
grab the brown slope in front of you.
The Old
Stable.
Shimmy left to the end, pull up and back flip, keep jumping
left till you are on save ground again. Climb up SE and go in, shoot the wooden
panel and run into the stable. Straight to a ledge with a crate on it on your
left hand, pull up in a corner next to the crate and shoot it. Pick up the Uzi
ammo that fell from the crate. Then go down and shoot the remaining crates,
some Giant Spiders will show up, try luring them to that ledge N where
you shot the crate and climb up to shoot them. Try shooting them with your
pistols, don’t waste too much other ammo (you’ll need it and there is not much
to find over here).
First go to a
lever SW and drop into the hole in the floor, jump over the skeleton and get
into the crawlspace. As soon as you see the small spider, crawl backwards to
where you can stand again and shoot it. Now go back in and over the golden
tile, climb up and get Secret #1 (32), Grenades and a Large Medipack.
Go back to the stable (climb up left at the lever) and to the far NE corner.
Pull/push the
wooden push crate over the wooden floor to the SW side of the room in the
direction of the lever and a block rises in the secret pit so you can pull his
lever, this will flood the Big lava room. Now go into the SE corner, open the
crowbar gate and go in to the corridor, find the push crate to the left. But
when you are close to it turn around and kill the Giant Spider, then
pull the block to the gray tile SE. For the last bit you have to go around and
shoot the last wooden panel, E wall, to get to the back of the push crate
(spikes under a lever will be disabled). Go out of the stable NW, drop onto the
ledge under the entrance and jump N. Go left and grab the Flares, then
pull the lever and get out NE, killing the Big Guy on your way out.
Back in the
Big Lava Cave.
Dive in to
the small flooded pit in front, swim into the tunnel E and pull the under water lever (screenshot of trapdoor). Go back up, N
to the big flooded pit and swim to the face block under the hanging ledge where
the Flares where, pull the under water lever there
and the trapdoor will open. There’s a tunnel in the slope where you entered the
Big lava room (E), swim in and follow through to the opened trapdoor. Climb out
and take it up with another Big Guy, find the scarce Small Medipack in the vase NW corner and go to the corridor
in the NE corner.
The Lava Room
with the Burners.
Time your jump aiming to the left hand corner of the opposite pillar and
quickly shimmy left around, pull up at least one step away from that burner.
Now stand left facing N and run/jump straight N and grab the ledge to the right
of the burner pillar. Stand left and again jump N to the alcove with the plant.
Get the Uzi ammo to the right and jump back to the ledge S, hang from
the S side and shimmy all the way left around the burner pillar. Stand jump to
the next pillar when the burner is down and hop back grabbing the edge, pull up
on the left corner near the wall, from here you can run/jump N to the next
pillar and grab on to the right hand corner. Shimmy right around till you can
pull up in the corner closest to the next pillar and stand jump grab over.
Shimmy right and pull up to jump to the safe ground.
Use the Keys.
Go to the
next room and push the crate N and away from the crawlspace. Under the crate is
a floor hatch to open, face W (by the way, did I tell you about those little
Spiders? Oh, you found them, did you?). Go down and push/pull the block E on to
one of the gray tiles and then on to the other, now use your keys where the
burners were (a door will open). Go pull the lever you just saw behind the
ledge E and the exit gate will open. Climb back up to the room with the crate
and go through the crawlspace. Walk to the pit, you have to do a run jump around
the corner and you are at the exit. Don’t walk too close to that burner under
the ledge, but run jump over to the passage W.
Dive into the
tunnel S to go back to the Big lava Cave and swim straight to the center ledge.
Stand in the corner of the two slopes, under the torch, you will see a Big
Guy standing on a ledge near the high door you just opened, from here he
will probably not notice you and you can take him out with some arrows and
laser sight, save on the big ammo. When he’s gone, go to the ledge, up S and
left to the high door and enter.
Spike
Crawlspaces.
SPIKES and
not too many. You can do this by standing one step back and run as fast as you
can as soon as the first set of spikes went up and you will run straight
through, follow the corridor and go into the crawlspace, take out some Spiders
on the way (Uzis will do the job just fine) and find a hole in the floor, left
coming out of the crawlspace. Climb down and find the timer lever, which will
open a door upstairs, get up fast and run for the door, not the one straight in
front of you, but take a left turn, another door there, run in and stop as soon
as you’re in (savegame).
Climb
backwards into the pit and hang on ledge, shimmy left and hang in the right
hand corner. Time the burner to pull up and slide jump and slide jump to grab
the wall ladder, climb left and drop on to a small slope, drop and back flip
roll in the air to grab again. Hang, climb up on the right hand side, time the
next jump, slide jump and jump grab a break ledge, pull up and turn around,
stand jump to the next break ledge and another stand jump grab into the grassy
corridor (savegame). Slide down
and go down the next slope backwards, grab on to the edge of the pit and drop
on to slope, back flip onto next slope, grab again pull up and back flip to
land in a corridor, go forward and fire some big ammo in to the right hand
corridor to get that Giant Spider.
The Track
Room.
Go down to
the track and shoot that grating W, be careful, when you shoot the crate in the
left corner of the next room, a Big Guy appears. First get those Flares
from the crate and go up to deal with the Big Guy. When you go to him and turn
back he will probably go into the corridor where you came from before and will
not see you till you hit him with a super grenade (that’s what happened when I
was here). Now go into the corridor SE and W to shoot the grate (up SW) and
jump in, follow till you reach a pit with lava and burner, monkey swing to the
other side stop just before the low part of the ceiling and time your move,
only the burner in the pit can harm you.
Shoot that
Spider on the other side and follow the corridor over a golden tile and straight
to the next lava room with burners. If you run in from a step back and go just
over the edge you will land on a slope, jump grab the opposite pillar and
shimmy around the left, behind the pillar is a lever, go use it to disable
spikes behind another pillar. Get back up (always standing in corners so you
don’t burn) and stand jump to the next pillar from the left corner (because you
will have more room under the ceiling). Pull up (this is no burner) and again
look behind it for the lever and you will see a trapdoor open up.
Stand jump to
the next burner, pull up in the left corner and run into the corner of the
walls, turn right and you’ll see a ledge right and up in front of you (NE), aim
for the left far corner of that ledge and run jump (don’t grab) there with a
right curve turn. Run over the burner when it’s down and jump grab over the pit
to go up the ladder. Climb up W, follow the corridor and stop at the slide,
Save. Standing a bit left, run in and jump before the end of the slide left
onto a break ledge and run into next corridor while a Boulder drops down behind
you. Go past the trapdoor (you will return to later) and left around the
corners, jump over the pit. Turn left and from that alcove run or jump into
corridor W. Look for the crawl space and go in, kill the Spiders and
pull the crowbar lever (which will lower a block in the track room). Get out
the crawlspace and follow the corridor W into the next room. Dive into the
waterhole to the left, turn left into the triangular opening and follow
through, pull the under water lever in the end. Go
back and now swim straight so you can climb out and now you have to find your
way back to the trapdoor (Go E, climb up to the pit and jump up left into the
alcove, then jump S and go W to find the trapdoor again).
The Second
Golden Serpent.
There’s a
jump lever, pull it and fall into the water, swim right around corners to get
out again and go left over the hole you fell into. The gate E into the track
room is open. Run in, roll and climb back up, turn and shoot what ever is down there (like a Giant Spider). Go up to the
passage SE again, jump W over the pit into the opening where you shot the grate
and stop at the slope in the floor.
Stand at the
edge and stand jump onto the grassy slope, slide and jump onto the ledge, get
the Second Golden Serpent NW. A corroded gate opens S, go down E, to the
Track room and up S to the gate you opened and jump in, turn right into passage
and notice a grey block, remember it! There is a Secret behind it you can get later.
Follow that passage, carefully hopping over all the pits, on your way you’ll
find a crowbar lever in a crawlspace with spikes up left (for later). When you
reach a gray grate shoot it out and finish the Big Guy in there, go
down, get Uzi ammo from the vase S. Jump over N and up to that steaming
pillar N. Jump to the ledge NW and time the burner to enter the central
structure. Jump the pits, pull the lever to open a door around the other
corner.
Boulders and
Spikes.
Get back out,
go left after the burner and this time you will have to deal with two of those Big
Guy’s, enter the passage they where protecting,
go to the pit and jump to the ledge with the plant in front left and
immediately back flip, wait for the boulder to stop rolling and jump to the
ledge with the plant again. Jump up W and go down left there to pull a lever
disabling the spikes at a crowbar lever in the passage with the pits (for the
secret).
The Torch.
Slide back
down to the ledge with the plant and get down into the green pit N. Pull up the
other side (this spike trap is disabled) and immediately back flip over the
green pit, more boulders on their way. Jump N to the spike floor and go to the
spike trap on the left and run jump to grab the ladder above the slope N. Wait
for all the boulders to go by and climb to the left. Shoot the wooden panel up
there and climb in, jump back and grab the edge of the door because some
Spiders are coming, if you hang they walk away and you can get in again and
shoot them quick. Find the Torch in there after shooting the crate and
go back. Jump to the spike floor and into the passage S, follow over the pit to
the structure. The burner in front of it is off, but you can still ignite the
Torch on it. Go E, jump S over the pits and up SE to that unlit wall torch.
Ignite it and the door opens, you can drop the Torch.
Little
detour: Go NE into the passage with the pits, jump over one pit and look up S
at the next. Jump and grab into that crawlspace to throw the crowbar lever. Run
out to the right and follow the passage E back over the pits to that now
lowered grey block left just before you reach the Track room. Go in and get Secret #2 (33), Revolver
ammo, Arrows, Shotgun ammo and a Large Medipack.
Return through the passage with the pits to get to the door you opened with the
Torch.
Blades and
Burners.
Take a swing
at the next room, stand close to the teeth doors, run through the teeth doors
and stand on the left corner of the ledge. Face W so you can see both the Blade
and the Burner and side jump left when you can. Run over the break ledge
through the next doors and do the same to get over the pit there, one more
sequence and on the other side use your key to open the gate. Shoot the grate
at the other end. Now run in and jump to grab the break ledge and pull up to
run into the next doorway.
Timed Block
Run.
Here is a
Timed lever opening a door and raising blocks in the next room. Pull and hop
back twice, turning right at the second hop so you’ll end up with your back
against the wall facing the next jump, run jump over the pit and run jump along
the right hand wall to the pillar ( be quick or he will go down), turn right,
hop back and run jump again to the next pillar, here roll into the left hand
corner and run jump and grab over to the last pillar, pull up and run jump/grab
to the door get in before it closes (Video savegame).
Jump down to
the left and take the Uzi ammo from the vase, then stand in the corner
at the slope, facing the grate, shoot it and stand jump onto it. Run jump
turning a little left and grab so you’ll land in the opening of the next room.
(If you happen to land on a slope just grab and you will be able to shimmy to
this opening.)
Get your guns
out and go in, stay on this first ledge, there’s a lava pit in front of you,
kill the Big Guy and look for a Small Medipack SE,
then go and put your Golden Serpents in to the receptacles N and S the final
door will open W. Slide down, hop onto the higher ledge to take the Flares,
slide down the waterfall and leave this level.

The Start
Room, the First Star.
Land in the
water and swim N into the brownish tunnel, follow this. Get out and kill the
Big Guy standing nearby.
Find the ladder to the right of where you came in (E) and climb up. Pull the
lever, which will raise a pillar, go to the block SW and jump N to the raised
pillar. Jump N once more and run over the break ledge. Drop down to the ground floor
and run back to the water S to get rid of the Wraith. Jump back into that
structure NW. Climb down the hole you created and you will have to deal with
one of those Big Guys again. Find the crawlspace NE and take the Arrows
and First Star down there. Get out and hop SW to the ledge around the
left corner. Look NW and shoot the panel left of that ladder. Jump across to
the wall ladder and climb around all the way to the left into the opening.
Get in and
pull the lever; another pillar is raised in the Start Room. Go back out, run
over the break ledge to get rid of it and get onto the ladder. Climb right
around the corner and hang left at the corner, against there by hanging on to
the ladder over, drop onto the green slope, back flip and roll so you can grab
the climbing surface on the other side (When Lara dropped from the middle of
the ladder she got stuck halfway down that green slope, so try sliding from the
sides. That worked fine).
Block Puzzle,
the Second Star.
Climb up to
the ledge and up E into the Start Room, jump to the pillar in the NE corner.
Turn and jump S to the next. Push the block in twice and push it into the
alcove S (DO NOT push it into the alcove N!). (A block goes up E where you have
to push the block later.) Pull it out again and push it E to the Tile in the
corridor (disabling a spike trap). Now pull/push it all the way around the N
side into the room E. You will have to go around through the lower part of the
room to get it onto the grey Tile NW in that E room. Now the pillar in the
lower room will be down. Get into the alcove and pull the lever in there
(raising a pillar somewhere).
Get back out
to the Start Room and to the water SW. Swim S, straight through into the
opposite tunnel. Go right and up and get out at the end. Kill some Baby Dinos on your way and go find the pillar you raised. If
you turn around and look up, you will see a jump lever you cannot reach yet.
Open the crowbar door W and follow through. There are some boxes up there; they
will release ghosts, but you need to shoot them. Shoot the first two, roll and
run like crazy back to the water, go back up and shoot another around the
corner, same thing happens (If you are really sure of yourself you can shoot all
three and save one trip). Get back again and pull the crate E out once. Turn
left and head into that passage N, there’s a crate to the right, just around
the corner. Push the crate there in and throw the lever (screen of a trapdoor).
Pull the block back and go E around the next corner. Shoot the crate and kill
the Baby Dino. Take the Small Medipack
and push the crate once to find the Second Star.
Pull the
crate back as far as possible and go around to the first crate to push it all
the way in. Now you should be able to jump to the lever and pull it, opening
that trapdoor. Swim back to the Start room; get air and dive into the tunnel in
the bottom and swim down. Go left (W), then take a right and follow through; a
nice flyby shows a Big Room with a lot of things to do.
The Big Room.
After killing
two guards SW, go to the NE corner up the blocks and open the wooden
crowbar door. Go in, kill another guard and run for water (ghost). Go
back and follow passage. Climb backwards off the ledge and shimmy left around
the corner to pull the crowbar lever in there. Shimmy back and pull up in the
entrance, turn around and run/jump to the opposite slope E. Pull up, slide and
jump/jump onto a ledge in the corner.
The Torch.
Turn and
run/jump to the N, climb the ladder and left around the corner. Just around the
next corner, stop and climb up until you can see the break ledge behind you (4
steps from the top). Back flip and turn right, quickly stand jump and grab the
pillar. Pull up and walk over to other side, turn around
jump grab up to open the ceiling hatch. Climb up E and follow to find the Torch
room. Go climb up and find the Torch NE. Jump over to ignite it and then
light the two wall torches in the room. The one high up gives a screenshot of
the door in the Big Room and the other gives a Secret hint (later). Leave the
Torch behind and get back down the hatch to the pillar and run off S onto the
slope near the crowbar lever. Slide and jump into the alcove to shimmy to the
exit.
The First
Lever, N Brown Gate.
Near the exit
to the Big Room, take out some guns and kill both guards, then go over to
the opposite side of the room (SE) and find the ladder to climb. At the second
stripe on the wall, back flip to the ledge behind you and go N. Jump to the
ledge left of the pillar in front of you and jump to the N, where you can climb
up N and left to a walkway. Shoot the vase there to get the Shotgun ammo.
Shoot the Big Guy up W and go jump/grab to the higher pillar E. Climb to the
higher ledge up S and walk past the nice colored window (with the Golden
Serpent behind it).
Go to the
middle ledge and go to the arched block W. Go down onto a walkway on the W side
and face the W side of the room. That structure there has a couple of grates
and a Star. Jump over to that structure W (this was the only way up there). Hop
onto the top and make your way down the S side (N side later!), by doing
safety drops, the yellow vase holds Arrows. Go down to the lower ledge W
behind the structure, look up E and shoot out the grate. Climb into the alcove
and throw the lever. The N side brown gate will open up.
First Lever
for the W Door.
Drop out E
onto the lower ledge and shoot the vase there to get the Large Medipack. Slide to the ground and go climb the ladder
SE again. Make your way up and to the brown gate on the walkway N, kill
whatever stands in your way and take a right at the white vase. At the next
crossing look left and up; climb up and push the block out of your way. Go in
left and throw the lever in there, kill the Baby Dino and go back to the
crossing at the block, down and straight S into the opposite alcove. Turn right
and push the block once and turn quick, kill the Baby Dino’s and push
the block some more until you see the lever. Pull it (screenshot of the W door
in the Big Room). Now go back to the crossing, go right (E) and follow down to
a balcony. Get the Grenades from the vase and return through the passage
to Big Room.
The Second
Lever, S Brown Gate and the Third Star.
Go over the
top walkway to the top of the W structure, slide down N or S and jump to the
ledge W behind the structure, look up E and shoot the grate. Climb in and throw
the lever, the S brown gate will open, opposite the last. Now drop out from the
W side and jump NE and drop down one level to the Third Star. Take it
and a Wraith appears, turn right (face E) and hop back off the ledge grabbing
on, safety drop and run down forward, so you will slide into the water.
S Brown Gate,
the Fourth Star.
Get out again
and to the ladder SE, to the N and up to the ledge E. Up to the top of the arch
and slide down the S side to get to the walkway with the open brown gate. Go in
and at crossing left, look for crawlspace to your left. Get in and pull the
lever (the door in top of the Big Room opens). Get out, back to the crossing,
left and follow passage (the door will close behind you). From the green ledge,
jump to the one around the right and over to the next. Here you can climb up to
the right and pull the jump lever to raise a pillar in this room. Go down and
climb backwards off the edge of the pit, shimmy all the way left until you can
climb up onto a green ledge. Turn and spot your next challenge; jump N twice
and climb up next to the wooden crate, climb in the left hand corridor and pull
the crowbar lever, turn back and shoot the crate.
The Torch.
Go and get
the Torch that was in it, and go down by jumping onto the grassy slope
under the boulder. Drop the Torch for a sec. (hit the #1 key) and shoot the
grate behind that burner. Pick up the Torch again, walk to the pit in front of
the burner. Stand left or right and save. Now throw the Torch over the burner
so it will end up in the passage.
Now run jump
in with a grab after the burner went down. Go jump left (W) over the lava pit
and pull the crowbar lever there (another pillar raises in the room). Get your
Torch again and ignite it while standing on a corner of the burner. Run jump
out and stand under the rope facing SW. Jump up to ignite the rope and then
stand jump SW to get out of the way. Turn to see the boulder into the pit and a
gate opens in the passage behind the burner.
Danger Caves.
Go down in
there and spot all the teeth doors; first one go through forward, turn around
and take the next ones by a hop back so you can see the doors better. Climb
down the ladder, drop and hang from ledge to shimmy all the way right and climb
up. Turn right and run jump grab to the burner pillar. Shimmy left and pull up
at the wall, run jump/grab to the next and shimmy past the burner. Now stand
jump S onto the higher ledge and stand right, run jump to the slope in the
corner and jump grab to get to the burner pillar. Pull up in the left corner,
walk along the wall to the other side and when you stand with your back at the
wall you’ll see the lever N. Stand jump/grab from where you are to the next
burner pillar, pull up and run jump to the lever. Pull it and a pillar rises by
the Star (look W and you can see it).
Jump back to
the last burner and to the one at the wall, turn right and stand jump grab the
edge of the slope W, save here. Hang and spot the burner near the Star pillar.
Go when the burner is active and slide, keep jumping until you are on a ledge
near the Star.
Go over to
the Fourth Star and get it. Make your way N, up the ladder and through
the Teeth doors. Run through the burner and jump onto the higher ledge, jump S
and shimmy right, then jump N and back to the passage to the Big Room.
The Fifth
Star.
When you get
out the Brown gate, go E and up the blocks in the corner, look N and spot the
grates under this ledge. Shoot them out and run jump grab in there. Pull the
lever and a room drains somewhere. Get to the ground floor safely and to the
open trapdoor NW. Follow back to the first crossing and go left, straight and
the right at the end. Follow through and get out. Shoot the panel and explore,
get Secret
#1 (34), Uzi ammo,
Grenades a Large and Small Medipack
downstairs and Shotgun-, Revolver ammo, Flares and Arrows
upstairs. Go swim back to the crossing and go straight and left up at the slope
in the end, follow the tunnel to the end, get out and take some Arrows
from the ledge E. Go up N and spot the Fifth Star up in front and left in the
next room. From the doorway you can shoot the panels on the pillar NE in the
next room, jump over the spike trap into the room. Look up NE to spot the blue
ball swinging; take an arrow and laser and shoot it. Put away your bow, roll
and run jump over the spikes into the doorway and to the water. After the Wraiths
are gone, go back and stand with your back to the long brown slope SE, next to
the spikes, and back flip onto the slope. Jump with a right hand curve to grab
the break ledge and shimmy to the pillar, jump over to go get the Fifth Star.
Placing the
Five Stars, the Golden Serpent.
Go back over
the spike trap into the other room, swim back and at the crossing go straight
to get to the Big Room. Up the ladder SE, to the N, up to the ledge E and over
the central walkway to the W side. Climb on top of the structure and enter the
gray door W that was opened before. Run jump over the break ledge and jump over
the spikes onto the higher corridor. Run for the lever when the spikes are up
and pull the lever (the doors to the Serpent room open). Run jump back over the
lower spike trap and pit and go over the top of the structure to jump to the
walkway E. Go into the Serpent Room E and place your five Stars. Next gate
opens E, drop into the next room and run left behind the block in the corner.
Wait until the Big Guy comes near and give him some lead.
Then go up
the red slope, crawling to avoid the poison darts. Enter the next room, look
for the crawlspace to your right (third alcove) and go in to pull the lever;
this will disable the spikes at the Serpent. Go back W to get the Golden
Serpent.
The golden
door beyond the crawlspace opens. Get over there and at the pit run jump to the
far right hand slope. Slide off, grab and shimmy to the left as far as
possible, then pull up and back flip/roll to grab the other side. Shimmy right
and back flip/roll to grab the other side again, now shimmy left into the door.
The Huge Lava
Pit.
Follow the
passage to the end of the green balcony and drop to the lower ledge. Turn and
shoot the Big Guy down S from this ledge with some explosive arrows. If you are
scared of heights, don’t look down! Jump W over the ledges, keeping to the
right hand wall; then go S. Go on to the high balcony S and get the Grenades.
Then safety drop down W twice to the lower ledge. Jump over to the balcony with
the yellow plant E and go down the ladder in the alcove. Go down N to the
ground floor. When you come out there, turn left and go W to the pit (at the
pit; look down and spot the jump lever). Jump over to the W and there's a lever
in the dark corner to your left, crawl in to use it (first lever to
turn the Lave safe).
Go back E
where you came from and go straight for the wooden panel and go in. Jump around
to the lever in the far left corner alcove, raising a pillar near another
wooden panel on the other side of the big lava pit. Go there around the W side
of the room (past the lever you pulled before) and jump to the door from the
pillar. Get in, go up the ladder and crawl in to pull the lever, disabling the
spikes at the higher lever. Go back to the Lava pit, jump to the pillar and go
around to the S side, climb in SE and go up the ladder to the floor above. Jump
W and go right over the pits to the lever (second lever to turn the Lava safe).
Pull the
lever, then roll and run jump out to the left, to where the lava pit was. It's
water now; that will deal with those ghosts too.
Facing the S
wall, look for the tunnel. Swim in, left/left and pull the lever (screenshot of
a gate). Get out of the water N. Go around to the SW corner to the jump lever
you saw before. Stand on the W ledge, drop and grab, let go and grab again to
pull the lever (the gate opens).
Swim to the
NE corner and look for a tunnel left and enter the gate. Follow the tunnel and
get out, pulling your weapons for all the guards in there (they are
everywhere). You better look around first to finish 'em
all; they are upstairs, too. Look for the lever behind the NW pillar (if you go
to the left gray ledge on ground floor until the end you can go behind this
pillar). Pull the lever and get a screen of a door.
Look for the block
with the plant N from where you can jump onto the NE pillar. It's the way to
get to the top of this room. Jump over to the purple balcony W and follow it to
the S end. Have a look at the central structure. Slide and jump to a ledge and
jump to the central structure. Go to the lever on the block N and throw it
(second screen of that door). Jump on the block S to get the Revolver ammo.
A Push Block,
the Bronze key.
From there go
NE, jump to a ledge with a plant (below you can see a passage with a Medipack). Drop to lower ledge and back off the ledge and
hang/drop/grab and pull into the passage. Get the Large Medipack
and follow the passage until you reach a room with another Big Guy. Show
yourself, get back in the passage and shoot him when he gets close. Go to the
push block E and push it all the way in. Hop back and go around S over the pit
to get to the block, pull it once. Go around again and move the block on the SE
corner Tile (spikes disabled). Pull it back again and to the tile in the S side
corridor, near the pit you jumped (platform goes up N). Now pull/push it to the
NE corner Tile over the platform. An underwater gate opens. Go back W to room
with the pools and jump into the left hand one. Find the gate SW and get the Bronze
key there.
Back Up, the
Silver Key.
Swim back E
and left to the other pool, climb out N and shoot the guard. Get out of the
room SW and drop down from the end of the passage. Make your way back up to the
top of the room again (block N to pillar NW) and over to the balcony W. On the
other side (S), go over to the central floor. Go to the SE corner from where
you can jump to a ledge with a plant. Go down to the lower ledge next to it,
drop and grab the crawlspace below and find the Silver Key from behind a
crowbar door there.
The Golden
Key.
Get out, drop
to the ground floor and go up to the central ledge again. Go to the block where
you got the Revolver ammo before (S); stand on the grey ledge S and turn
around, slide backwards off, grab the edge. Let go to grab the jump lever (now
that door is open), fall in the water and go up again to the balcony W, go to
the S end and just slide down onto grassy slope to find the passage SW. Go in,
shimmy along the crack over the pit and find the Golden Key.
The Golden
Skull.
Get back out
and go down to the ground floor. Go to the
Serpent door S over the water hole, place the Serpent and go in. Shoot the
guard and use your Keys. Another door opens. Go up the steps into the corridor
behind the fence and go through the door. Go down into the lower room and look
for the crawlspace N. Get in and pull the lever to kill the spikes at the
Skull.
Go back to
get the Golden Skull (a golden door opens) and return up the steps to
follow the passage E into the sandy room. Stand facing the slope SE, pull up,
back flip and land on a ledge. Turn right (W) and look for other ledge,
difficult to see (use binoculars) and jump there. Climb up left and go through
the opened Golden door.
Meet Thor.
Watch out for
the pit, jump over and grab the slanted block. Hang left and pull up over the top,
slide and jump left to land on a grassy ledge. Climb up S and jump grab to grey
passage S. Come to a long slide, jump in with a right hand curve to slide
backwards into a pit and grab the edge of the pit. Shimmy to the left side of
the next slide and pull up. Just slide and Lara will go over the next pit, then
jump left at the right moment to get onto the grassy ledge. Go through the
passage, slide down and go meet Thor (you can not
kill him; I emptied all weapons on him from a higher ledge and he would not
drop). Run in and left; around the first pit you see there and shoot the grate.
Pull the lever, roll and run fast into the wide passage in front of you and
into the right hand back corner and turn. Thor will not harm you here. If you
stand with your back to the slope, back flip/jump grab and you will pull a jump
lever.
Run to the
big room and turn left. There's a crowbar lever on the floor. Use it, roll and
run like crazy into the door you opened S, follow the passage into the next
room. Stand on the left side, slide down and jump over to the palm tree. Go to
the climb and end this great game....
