Traps II

Nice opening movie.
The Castle.
Go forward and climb behind the pillar, in the green water room you can
take the 2nd L passage, follow up the ladder and drop into a big hall where
you’ll get a cutscene of the Baddy following in your footsteps. Go up
the 1st N stairs, L at the Dog statues and up to the 1st floor, go to the S
side to find the CS with a ½ MP, go on the N walkway and look down at
the S wall, to spot the alcove with the Guardian Key, stand on the edge,
one step back and standjmp with a grab in the last moment to land inside, get
the Key and drop down to ground floor. Open the door on opposite side of the
hall and go in to get the Gem, backflip/roll and go out on L or R side
of the passage to avoid the Darts. Go up the NE stairs and place the
Gem, go into the Temple garden and behind the tree W, you can climb into a CS
to get the next Key.
Go back to the hall 1st floor and use it next to the entrance, go in the
passage, past the gate and push a block in the end, once. Go out to the walkway
and climb it to get into the CS, which will take you to the next Key,
which will open a door in the SE corner of the Hall ground floor, jmp to the
alcove and drop to get down fast and enter the new door. Climb the small mount
L and jmp/grab into the upper passage for a ½ MP and go back out, notice the
writing on the wall S, Oh Boy! Seems you made somebody angry, he will release
some Dogs as you go to the NE corner to enter a door there. Climb up the
broken grating and follow the CS past the steam blower and drop on other side,
the gate will open on approach, but don’t go out yet, look up L and get into
the CS, follow to the Pharos Pillar in the end and return to the Hall and up
the NE stairs to place that pillar. In the Cave you can dive into the tunnel,
follow to the Waterfall area and shoot the 2 Vultures. Dive in the pool
below the fall, follow the tunnel while being shot at (watch the health) to get
the Guardian Key in the end, just swim back and go back to the Cave
where you can use the key in the N. Enter the gate and slide down the slope.
Boulder Trap.
No way back and a typical spot for a Boulder trap. Hop back in the
direction of the slope the Boulder will come down from and sprint down the
passage, a cutscene of the Baddy pushing the Boulder will take over, as soon as
you get the Ctrl back, sprint down the tunnel and drop into a deeper part,
Spikes L, sidejmp L and jmp/grab from the slope to get into the CS. Drop on
other side and grab up to the edge of the E wall, go L to just before the
corner and pull up, turn around and do a runjmp with a L curve over the corner
to the pillar on the other side, climb it and shoot some Bats, turn and
jmp/grab into the alcove in the ceiling, get the Gem and safety drop
out, go back into the CS you came from and drop from the L side in front of an
open CS, go in to about halfway where you can stand up and climb into the CS,
to bypass the Spiketrap, use the switch to open another gate in the CS and go
back, drop out of the upper CS and turn R and go into the Climb room.
Climb Room.
Go up the stairs to where it’s broken, go into the hole in the wall and
follow to a block you can push out, go back and use the block to get to the
next part of the stairs. Go up to where you can jmp/grab into the passage in
the ceiling, the door will open and you’re back in the cave, run off the ledge
into the water and follow the tunnel back to the Waterfall. Open the gate in
the wall (found a shortcut, you can just climb over the wall L of the gate) and
get a screenshot of the Baddy waiting for you in the top cave. Go behind
the opposite rocks and into the lower cave.
Spike wall.
Slide down the slope after you saved and sprint R to a Button
where the Spike wall is approaching real fast (don’t mind the Baddy,
you have more serious things to worry about right now), turn L and do 3 more
Buttons there, the one on S wall last, turn L and run into the gate just
before the Spike wall hits you (I hope). Follow the passage to a room with a Spiketrap
in the back and of course that’s what we have to tackle now, I run jmped into
one of the corners next to the slope behind the Spikes and side jmped onto the
slope, jmp/grab the upper alcove and use the switch. Check your health and hop
back onto the slope, jmp over the Spikes and enter a passage in the NE,
go R and up the stairs where you opened the door, reach the Water room.
The Water room.
Here you have to get 3 Keys from ledges which are under fire by
the Baddy, there are some ½ MPs, but hardly enough, better use the Save
game editor to spike up the MPs when they are running low. The keys are S and
the locks N opposite the entrance, swim S and get the ½ MP on the R
ledge, look SE and see the next ledge with a ½ MP, go get that too and
standjmp to the centre ledge, do a running jmp to the corner with the Key and
stand in the corner out of sight (once the baddy started patrolling and I got
the other Keys without a hitch, but most of the times he stayed alert), go take
the Keys while under fire and swim N fast, place the keys and enter the
Crusader Castle.
Crusader Castle.
Shoot the Wolves from a block in the square and go over to the S
wall, from a block L, you can runjmp/grab the crack above the brownish wall and
go R to a button on the pillar, push it to open that door on ground floor.
Boulder run.
Go in and follow a small CS to a Boulder slope, go L and up to the 2nd
corner where you can find a Key, face the lower side of the slope before
you pick it up and start running as soon as you can, use some jmps to get over
the sloped parts and sprint down, duck into the CS fast and go after the
Boulder, stand facing in the centre of the last square and sidejmp L, jmp/grab
to get into the open gate. Climb the vines in the shaft and go to the W side of
the floor, runjmp into the opening in W wall and open the gate there, follow in
and shoot the Baddy on the other side of the room.
Use the MS to get to the CS in W wall and get the next Key, drop back
out on one of the sides and the best way for me was just to slide and sidestep
as soon as you land in the Spikes as soon as you use jmp, you’ll die.
Go out and make your way over to the broken bridge over the square and
get the Shotgun (why?), turn around and see the brown structure on the
bottom of the W wall R of the bridge, use it to shimmy N and go over to the
gate there, get the next Key and go back the way you came, with a runjmp
to the S floor, use the Key and enter.
Slide down into the Catacombs, follow to a room with a lever, use it and
sit back, see Lara take care of that Baddy in a special manner. (Great!)
She walks into the door to go back home.
