After the experience in the pyramid, where Lara almost had to die, Lara flew to the Tibet, to the monastery of the Barkhang monks for some solitude and time fore herself. Whilst meditating in the monastery, Lara gets a strange vision - she flies like a bird through the monastery, and suddenly an earthquake starts and brakes a wall in the cell, where Lara is meditating, and so opening a secret hallway. Lara opens he eyes, still dizzy from the vision...
