Mini-walkthrough:
Top of the world:
Kill the scorpions and slide down the ramp. While sliding, jump and add the
right arrow key to curve your jump and land on the ledge with the shotgun for
Secret #1. Face towards the top of the ramp, and run
onto the ramp and slide down backwards. Hold down the action key to grab the
edge of the ramp and shimmy to the left until you reach a crawlspace. Secret
#2! Pick up all of the goodies in the small cave, then
crawl back out of the crawlspace and drop to the ground. Kill the ninja and run
to the room with the three bridges.
Cave with three bridges:
Kill the crocodiles and pick up the Laser Sight on the center bridge. Continue
towards the temple and get an aerial view of the cave. Kill the two ninjas and
pick up Uzi clips from the vanished ninjas. Return to the three bridges, and
swim under the bridge on one side and look for an underwater door which blends
into the wall. Swim near the door and use the Action key to open the door. Get
some air, then enter the door and swim a very long way with a crocodile
appearing behind you. Climb out of the water and pick up Secret #3 - a
revolver. A crocodile appears behind you,
To the right of the temple, take a simple jump into through the gap in
the rocks. Now take a long running jump to the corner with the light. Pick up a
small medi-pack. Take a simple jump to get out and
slide down to the floor square you can stand on next
to the gap in the rocks.
This next bit is pretty nasty. From the floor
square you can stand on, face the the
rock on the three bridges side, next to the wall, do a back flip to the slanted
rock on the temple side, immediately jump and grab the high edge of the rocks
on the bridge side. Shimmy sideways to the right to the slanted block near the
wall. Climb up on the slanted block and do a jump with a twist (jump + roll key
+ action) and grab a crack in the rocks near the wall (and above the place
where you picked up the medi-pack). Shimmy to the
left around the corner and drop. Pick up the Uzis and Secret #4, then do a jump
grab to the roof. WOW! you're on the roof! Kill the
scorpions and make your way to the other side of the roof for goodie mania.
Drop down to the rocks on the side of the temple and slide down. Enter the
temple.
Pick up the small medi-pack and trigger a lot of
scorpions. Go out the door with the water fall and start swimming back towards
the door. Swim in the narrow crack under the first water fall
and find goodies at the bottom of a deep pit. Swim towards the big waterfall
and swim along the right side of the wall. Drop over the waterfall and land on
a small ledge. Secret #5! Pick up the goodies and drop into the lake below the
waterfall.
Bottom of waterfall:
Swim to the ledge with the two small bowls. Climb out and run to the back wall.
Climb up on the slanted block, do a back flip and hold down the jump +grab key
to grab the overhead monkey bars. Swing across the monkey bars to above the
long ramp. Save your game!!!
Saving your game: Hold down the Action key, hit the F5 key to save your
game. Very briefly, let go of the Action key, and hit the Enter key, then
immediately hit the Action key to avoid falling down.
Loading a saved game: Hold down the Action key when loading the game, so
that Lara does not fall off the monkey bars etc.
Long ramp above fire pit:
Slide down the ramp forwards and jump over the first pit. Near the bottom of
the ramp, jump again to land on a short slanted block.
Jump again to grab the high edge of a slanted block. Climb up on the long slanted ledge and save your game again. Use Action + up
arrow to climb up the red pillar. Pick Uzi clips. Do you see all
of those nasty looking slanted blocks ahead?
Yup, you have to jump across this jumping torture
chamber.
First jumping sequence:
Jump straight ahead to a slanted pillar, when you land jump again to the left
ramp, slide down the ramp, and do a standing jump with grab straight ahead and
only grab the high edge of the slanted block. Hang on the high edge of the ramp
and save your game.
Second jumping sequence:
Hanging on the high edge of the ramp, shimmy to the right edge and shimmy to
the left once. Slide down the ramp and jump to the slanted pillar straight
ahead. Slide down a bit, then use a standing jump with grab to grab the high
edge of the pillar near the right wall.
Continue jumping across the pillars. While hanging on the high edge of a
ramp, you may need to shimmy to adjust where you start the jumps. Finally, jump
to the crack in the left back corner of the cave. Climb up to the high ledge
behind the waterfall.
High ledge behind the waterfall:
Kill the ninja and pick up the small medi-pack. Stand
in front of the small hole in the wall and hit the Action key to reach in and
open the door, start fires in the bowls and turn the water below the waterfall
into hot lava.
Pillars above the lava:
Diagonal long running jump with grab to pillar on the right. Standing jump with
grab to pillar on the left. Long running jump with grab to pillar along left
wall. Diagonal long running jump with grab to center
pillar with small space above it. Shimmy around the pillar until you can drop
down. Diagonal long running jump with grab to pillar along left wall. From the
back of the pillar, jump to the lower pillar and pick up the goodies. Return to
the higher pillar, by the left wall, and take a long running jump with grab to
the pillar in the center by the column that reaches from floor to ceiling. Exit
the room with lava.
Climb up the red ledges that are beside the long ramp. When you reach
the top, drop over the side and shimmy to the right and climb up. Continue
going up until you reach the top of the ramp and enter the small cave. At the
end of the cave, slide down the ramp, fall in the water and go over the
waterfall to land on a small ledge. Cross the ledge to hole in the wall. Use
Action to activate a door that shuts off the flow of water through the small
cave. Climb back up into the waterfall cave and find the hole in the wall. Use
Action to open a red door in the temple. Do a safety drop over the edge of the
ledge on the temple side of the valley. Climb up and enter the temple:
Skinny red door in the temple to cave of death:
Enter the skinny door in the red temple. Walk in the water and kill 2
crocodiles. Continue to the cave with the spider webs and kill vast amounts of
scorpions (err, spiders). Kill 2 or 3 more crocodiles. Pick up flares and more
goodies.
Ledges above deep dark pit:
Jump to the first ledge above the pit and immediately do a backflip to kill the
ninja in the cave. Take a long running jump with grab to a hard to see ledge on
the left wall. Jump across the rest of the ledges across the pit,
and do a standing jump with grab to the higher ledge. Pick up the
goodies on the way up the stairs. Run through the darts, pick up the small medi-pack across the gap and drop down the ledge below.
Push the switch, then take a standing jump with grab to the monkey bars on the
ceiling. At the end of the monkey bars, drop and immediately press the Action
key to catch the ledge.
Darts and lava pit:
Crawl under the darts and pick up the cross bow. Take a long running jump with
grab across the lava pit. Kill the ninja while getting hit by darts. Slide down
the ramp on the left side and jump to land on a small ledge. Pick up crossbow
ammo and take a diagonal standing jump with grab to the higher ledge. Climb up.
Slide down the long ramp and take a standing jump with grab to the ledge with
the grenade ammo. Drop down on the ledge near the floor.
Grey room with red pillars:
Look up for a high crawlspace. Climb up and pick up
the grenade gun. Find the window and cross the bridge. Drop into the water and
pick up the Canopic Jar in the water tunnel. Take a quick ride over a water fall and find yourself back in the area with the three
bridges.
Three bridges:
Go back to the temple. Place the Canopic Jar in the hole by the double doors.
Kill the 2 ninjas and enter the double doors. Save your game.
Swim past the white ship and take a left to where 2 crocodiles await. Look for
a ledge to climb out along the back wall. Run into the cave and kill the
crocodile on land. Swim out to the white barge to lure the crocs away from the
ledge, then swim back and climb out and shoot them as they swim back to the
ledge. Jump back in the water. From the white boat, swim to the back wall and
discover yet another crocodile. Kill him, then return to the back wall and swim
down and left for Secret #3 in an underwater tunnel. Pick up several goodies,
then return to the cave with the ledge.
Cave:
Pick up the large medi-pack in the cave and follow
the cave until it widens. Explore the small cave on the left. Kill a ninja and
discover a door with a receptacle. Follow the wide cave up hill. Jump over a
steep slope near the cobwebs and kill several scorpions. Continue uphill until
you reach the darts. Crawl under the darts and pick up the flares. Make sure
that you are at maximum health!!! Slide down the ramp
backwards and grab the edge. Then drop down to the roof of the white boat. Grab
the edge of the roof and shimmy to the left.
Roof of the white boat:
Climb up at the corner of the roof. Take a simple jump to the other roof, slide
down, and shimmy to the right edge of the roof. Climb up and do a backflip to
the other roof. Shimmy to the corner of the roof and pick up the small medi-pack. (A great lot of work for one little medi-pack). Shimmy back to the main part of the boat and
drop down. Pick up the Golden Vraens. Walk to the
left front of the boat and take a careful simple jump to the rock on the left.
Do a standing jump with grab to the lowest rock across the water. You now need
to jump to the higher ledge, so face the boat and do a back flip. Pick up the
Uzis and more goodies Secret #6??.
Jump in the water and swim back to the ledge with the cave. Kill the
two crocodiles.
Cave:
Follow the cave until it widens, then enter the smaller cave on the left. Place
the Golden Vraens in the receptacle to open the door.
Cave with waterfall
Kill the scorpion and pick up the flares. Climb up on high ledge. Take a long
running jump across the waterfall to a flat ledge. Another simple jump to a
ledge along the right wall. The next jump is somewhat tricky. Walk to the
highest corner along the wall of the ledge. Take one walking step downhill, and
one walking step towards the waterfall, take a simple jump to the higher ledge.
A long running jump across the waterfall, and a simple jump to the top. Follow
the cave up and pick up grenade gun ammo and shotgun ammo.
Top of the temple:
Kill the two ninjas and pick up the Amulet of Horus. Enter the
open door.

Secrets: 6 of 6
