Walkthrough by Harry Laudie
[Note] There is some dialogue said by Kurtis, perhaps giving directions. I could not understand
most of it. The volume was very low. [End note]
Introduction
Start with a scroll giving you the story background.
Then the first level loads.
Viking Village
(Day)
You start by standing in front of a table. Go to the
north-west corner to pull a switch. The fire in the fireplace stops. Enter the
fireplace to pick up a Bottle of
Mead (small medipack). Go south past a closed gate and through an archway. Go past a small
closed gate and continue south into a room with columns. Go to the south-east
column and find a ladder. Climb the ladder up into an attic. At the top, back
flip to a ledge and press a white pushbutton. Go west and see a face symbol on
the floor tile to your left. There are four of them in the attic. Get
down to the first floor and move the silver pots onto the corresponding tile on
the first floor. When they are in the right place, you get a cut scene of the
closed gate. Also a table rises under the pot. There are two pots in the room.
A third pot is in the north corridor. The fourth pot is an alcove with the
small closed gate. The white pushbutton opened that gate. When you get the
fourth pot, be sure to pull into a crawl space in the west wall. Go to the end
for secret #1 and a black raven. When the last pot is in place, you get a cut scene of a gate opening.
Exit the room and go to the open gate.
Enter the gate and see a closed gate to the south. Go
east and jump behind the barrels. Go to the south-east corner and pull a
switch. Go north and pass two horse statues and turn east to a balcony
overlooking some buildings. You see Kurtis running in
the snow below. Wait and he will come up the steps and go to the closed south
gate. He plays with the wall panel beside the gate and it opens. Go back north
and down the stairs among the buildings. Go to the south-east corner to pull a
jump switch. Return and go west and enter the door next to the snowman in the
west wall. Follow the opening to the end for secret #2 and another black raven. Then return
upstairs where Kurtis is waiting patiently for you at
the open south gate. Enter and he follows you. Hop onto a north ledge and pull
a switch to open an east gate. Enter and he still follows you.
Go south and down the stairs into the courtyard. Go to
north-west corner and go behind the horse. Press the white pushbutton on the
south wall. Exit and see Kurtis struggling to get
through a closed gate. Go back upstairs and go east over a hanging walkway and
south into an open door. Go west into an open door and look behind the barrels
for flares. Exit and go into a north alcove with small boxes. Turn around and look
up for a jump switch. Pull the jump switch and a gate opens in a south alcove.
Go to the south wall to pull a switch. Exit and go west into the open door. Go
up some stairs and use the floor lever. Go down to the courtyard and see that
the gates have risen. Enter the snowy outdoors and Kurtis
is stuck at another gate in a south archway. There is a mound of snow to the
right of that archway. Run to the south-west over that mound and jump with a
left curve to grab the edge of a stonewall. Pull up
and go to the west end for secret #3 and another black raven.
Get down and go to the north-east corner behind the
building. Press a white pushbutton on the west wall and the gate opens. Enter
and go down some steps and Kurtis follows you. He
stops at another closed gate. Enter the doorway in the east wall and slide down
to a flat area. Go west and see a key lock. Continue sliding down on the east
side to a level area. Jump into a triangular shaped hole in the north-east
corner. Enter a cave like area. Go west to find a Key and a large medipack. Exit and get down
to the ground level to pick up two
snowballs. Go to the north-east to climb the wall and go up to
the locked gate. Use the key and the gate opens. Kurtis
runs in and jumps to a ledge to the south and enters a cave. Jump south to the
ledge and follow him. Pull a switch and a gate opens. Enter and follow the
tunnel to a ledge overlooking some water. Kurtis
follow you and monkey swings to the south ledge to stand in front of a closed
gate.
Dive into the water and enter the lower section to
pick up a Bottle of Mead. Pull up on the north side and jump up to grab a
climbable ladder. Climb back to the north ledge and monkey swing over to Kurtis. He will go west and then jump north to another
ledge and wait for you. Follow him as he climbs the blocks to the east. He will
jump the gaps and cross a bridge to the north side and drop into a room. Follow
him and when you drop into the room, Kurtis plays
with the wall panel on the east side. Go west and pull the switch and the gate
opens. Follow Kurtis up the ramps to an outside area.
He runs ahead to a closed gate. Follow him and the level end.
Home of the Valkyries
This level has many women in it that I assume are the Valkyries. Most seem to be heavily armed with spears and
shields and I guess that they are giving you directions.
Start this level with a short flyby of Kurtis in front of the closed gate. To the immediate north
and south walls are alcoves with closed gates. Go west towards Kurtis and to the south is an opening that leads to a
closed gate. Go north to find snowballs and a large opening with a Valkyrie standing
at the back wall. The boxes beside her are empty. Go west and find a pool with
a Valkyrie beside it. There are three ways to go.
First go south and follow the corridor. You pass some stairs on the west that
lead to a closed door and a fire. Just follow the
corridor until you see a Valkyrie moving her arm to
beckon you towards her. Go there and crawl under the tapestry behind her. The
camera view changes but go to the back wall and pull up into a crawl space. At
the other side, stand up and follow the tunnel to pick up a torch. Return to
the crawl space and stand with your back at the south wall and try to throw it
through the crawl space. It should land inside so crawl in after it. Pick it up
and throw it again. It should land back outside on the floor. Get out of the
crawl space and throw it under the tapestry.
You can go back and light the torch on the fire at the
closed door you passed earlier. Then bring it with you, go past the beckoning Valkyrie and go east into a graveyard. Go to the south-west
corner and light a wall torch. A block will rise beside you. Take the torch and
hop onto the block. Turn north to hop onto a block and then north-east into the
roof. Keep jumping east over the roofs to get the south-east corner. Light a
bonfire on the ledge and get a cut scene of a gate opening below you. Throw the
torch down to the ground and safety drop down to the ground after it. Stand at
the east wall where you drop and press a white pushbutton to open the gate
beside you for a shortcut back to the level start. Go to the south wall and see
a grave marker with a cement base rather than a wooden or gold base. Shoot the
grave marker and it breaks. Get the torch and enter the open gate to the
north-west. Go through the corridor into the room enter the open gate at the
north end. Pick up flares and shoot the boxes for the crowbar. You can shoot the glass windows if you like vandalism.
Pick up the torch and exit the room and take the
shortcut back to the starting area. Drop it near Kurtis
so you know where it is. Go north and west to the pool again. This time go into
the north corridor and follow it to an outdoor area. Go to the north-west
corner and look up to the west wall for an opening. Go there and grab the
opening at the east side and pull up. Go to the Valkyrie
and jump to the grab the roof to the north. Shimmy to the right and drop on an
east balcony. Pick up the Snowball
Catapult from the floor. Safety drop
to the ground and enter the east building. There are two water channels. Dive
into the east channel and look for a small triangular hole in the west near the
floor. Swim inside and pick up the Laser
Sight. You can see an item behind a closed gate in the
east. Go to the gate and turn around. Look up west towards the ceiling and see
a blue angel statue. Use the Snowball Catapult and Laser Sight to shoot the
statue. The gate opens so go inside for Gear Wheel #1. Exit the room and go south.
Pick uptwo snowballs before you
exit this area and go back to the pool area.
Go south and follow the corridor to the closed door
where you lit the torch. Use the crowbar to open the door. Enter a room filled
with water. Shoot the three boxes in the water. Swim down to get secret #4 and a black raven. Swim east
under the steps to pull an underwater lever on a wall. Swim west through the
open gate. Swim south and up into a room. Press a white pushbutton on the east
wall. Get back into the water and swim east into another room. Go though an open gate and press a white pushbutton on the
west wall. Swim back to the room where you entered this pool
and swim east through an open double gate. Turn south and swim to the
end to pull on a platform. Go to the south-east corner and climb a ladder
behind the column. Jump west to another column and monkey swing north into an
alcove. Turn south and jump up to grab a ladder. Pull up and go into a south
tunnel where at the end there is a ladder.
Drop into some water. Grab the ladder and shimmy left
to another ladder. Back flip, roll, and grab another ladder. Shimmy to the left
and now it gets hard. You have to back flip to a slope, slide to another slope
and then jump across the water to a third slope with a right curve so you slide
down to grab the edge. Luckily, you save the game pulling up. Pull up, back
flip to a slope and jump to grab a ladder. Another shimmy to the right, back
flip, roll and grab a ladder. Another shimmy to the right, back flip, roll and
grab a ladder. Climb all the way to the top and get into a crawl space. Turn
around and look down to a ledge that you have to reach. You can follow the
crawl space, drop and shimmy to the right, pull up to another crawl space, follow it to drop to a ledge. Grab a monkey swing and
go to the ledge you saw from the far side of the room. Climb the ladder you see
and go to the top. Follow the tunnel to see two blue chains. Slide down the
west chain and back flip into a tunnel. Climb up a north-west chain to back
flip into a room. Use the floor lever and return down to the previous floor. Go
east to find a central chain and use it to slide down to the bottom. Go east
though the open gate, slide down and safety drop to the floor. Go east though
an open gate and get secret #5
and a black
raven. Return and go left to pick up Gear Wheel #2 from a short
block. You hear a gate opening. Go north through the gate and you are back in
the graveyard. I guess the grave marker that you shot, just because it would
have been close by, opened the secret gate.
Now go north to Kurtis in
the starting area and go to the south-east corner to climb a wall ladder. At
the top side flip to a ledge. Notice a raven circling
the statue to the west. Use the crowbar to open the east door. Enter the tunnel
and press a white pushbutton. You get a cut scene of Kurtis
playing with a wall panel. Then there is a flyby of a gate opening. Get down
and go south to find the open gate. Enter and loop left to the north wall to
press a white pushbutton. The gate at the south wall opens. Enter the next room
with a Valkyrie and go east to find a water hole.
Dive in and go south and look to the ceiling for a pull down underwater switch.
Pull it down and go south for flares and then swim up into a hole. On the other side swim through an open
gate and swim up for air. Continue swimming and pull open an underwater door.
Enter the room and swim north to a window. You can see Kurtis
appear and play with a wall panel. Now exit this room and a gate to the
north-east has been opened for you. Enter the gate and swim up for air.
Dive in and go behind a column to pull an underwater lever. Swim back up and
enter the open door.
Enter the door and you are in a room with a glass
wall. You can see Kurtis jumping blocks and using the
monkey swing in the other room. He stops in the upper right corner and looks
down at you. Go to the south wall and climb the ladder. Climb to the top brown
section and back flip to a ledge. Be careful of the fire and shoot the two
boxes. Go through the west doorway. It seems that if you step on both floor
grates, the gate to the west will open for you. Enter and go south to see a
ladder with a closed gate at the top. Go east to shoot two boxes to reveal a
key lock and pick up a large medipack. Continue down the
corridor to hear a double gate close beside you. Enter the next room and the
gate also closes behind you. Go to the south-west corner and hop up on a
balcony to get the Key.
Look around to see a silver pot in the north-west
corner and perhaps a place to move onto to the east. Move the pot and then pull
the wall switch that was behind it. One block rises so move the silver pot to
the raised block. Use the lever to lower the silver pot. Move the silver pot
into the alcove in the south-west corner. Notice that the blocks in the
two water holes have dropped. Get into the water and search for an
underwater lever to pull. When you get out, the second block has raised. Move
the silver pot back onto the first block and raise it again with the switch.
Move the silver pot to the gray tile. Get down and go to the exit door and it
opens for you. Use the key and return to the now open double gate. Kurtis is waiting for you at the bottom of the room. Hop
down to Kurtis and stand beside him as the elevator
rises. You get a fly of some closed gates. Go east and you the gates open. Kurtis goes east and runs to a closed door and waits for
you.
Open the door and let him in. Use the wall switch and
get a cut scene of a large double gate opening. Return to the elevator and go
through the west open gates. Go down the ladder and around to the elevator
shaft and drop down inside. Go north through the open double gates. Continue
and you are in the room where you saw Kurtis through
the window. Get down to the floor and go west. Just before you go down a ramp,
turn to the right to drop into a hole to pick up the Kurtis
Key. Now go back to Kurtis
by using the blocks and monkey swing as Kurtis did
earlier. There is a climbable wall in the south side of the elevator shaft. Use
the Kurtis Key and the gate opens. Go outside and go
north to the far north wall panel. Then move aside as Kurtis
comes over to play with the wall panel. Turn around and see that a rope has
dropped. Use the rope to swing south to a switch on a ledge over the
entrance door. Pull the switch and hear a gate opening. Get down to the snow
again and use the rope to swing to the south-east roof where you can see a
raven. Land up there and get secret #6 and a black raven.
Get down to the snow and safety drop to the area
below. Go east to enter a room and press a white pushbutton. Exit and go either
north or south to dive into some water. Swim through the opening and go to the
east wall to pull an underwater lever. Turn around and go to the middle
section. A cage has dropped so you can pick up Gear Wheel #3. You see the gates at the west
wall open. Swim out and go to the west gates. Drop into a hole and go down the
stairs to a closed gate. Turn around and use a wall switch to open the gate. Kurtis runs past you and says that he will see you back in
the village. (The only time I understood what was said). Exit the gate and the
tunnel back into the starting room.
Go north and west to the pool. Continue west into the
west room and go through a corridor. If you were here before, the corridor
would have been closed by gates. Go to either side and a gate closes. You take
another elevator ride with Kurtis. Near the top of
the ride the level ends.
Viking Village
(Dusk)
You start with Kurtis by
your side. Go to the north-east and find flares in a tunnel. Then follow Kurtis
South and then he turns to the east. Shoot a snowman for snowballs. Then follow Kurtis down the east ramp and into a corridor where he
stops. Go west and follow the sloped ladder up to a bedroom. Shoot the
box beside the bed and pick up the Scepter. Go north and east and follow up a ramp to an outside area. Kurtis follows you and stands in front of a door and waits
for you. Go back down the ramp and go south and follow to a room with a
Christmas tree. Go to the east wall and pull up to the west into a higher room.
Go north and hop onto a table with a wreath. Pull up north onto a rafter. Turn
around and jump to the south rafter for a Key. Get down and see a closed door to the east. Above it
but outside is a possible lion head target.
Go south and hop onto the hanging platform with a
wreath that is over the stairs. Pull up on the south side and light a flare. Go
east to pick up flares. Then jump into the north-east corner for secret #7 and a black raven. Get down
back into the room with the Christmas tree. You can shoot the presents but you
cannot pick up any of the large medipacks. Go to the
north-west corner behind the Christmas tree to shoot a green present and pick
up a red Toy Car. Go east and down the stairs. To the north is a door you push open to
get outside and back to Kurtis. Go outside and go
north-east to the corner of the building. Look up to the north-east and see the
lion head target high over the roof. Shoot it and return to the closed door you
saw when you got the key. Enter the door and go south down the balcony. Jump
into the room and shoot the presents if you want. Go north and down a ramp. Go
west and use the crowbar to open a door. Step inside for secret #8 and a black raven. Exit here
and go back through the rooms and down the stairs to where the door to the
outside was located.
Notice a trap door on the floor but first go west to
use the key to open the door. Enter and follow the corridor. Enter the first
branch to the north and push open the door. Shoot the presents and pick up a Cross. That is all that is
here so exit back to the entrance. You can pull up the trap door and notice
that you need a key. Go back outside and go back to Kurtis.
You can shoot a snowman to get snowballs. When I got back to Kurtis, there was a
definite sound of him sleeping and snoring. There are two doors to open. Go
west and push open the doors. To the south behind the wreath is a ramp that will you back to your starting area. Go west and
push open another door. Enter the room and go to the table. Turn around and
look east up at the ceiling. Shoot the white lion head target and a door opens
in the south-east corner. Go there for secret #9 and a black raven. Go north to
push open another door and get outside. Notice a closed gate in the west wall
and in the north you can see a gold receptacle in a window. There is nothing to
do here now so get back to Kurtis.
Now open the north doors and follow the corridor enter
the room with a fireplace. Go to the north-west corner behind the Christmas
tree and pull down a trap door from the ceiling. Pull up to the south. Shoot
the presents and go to the north-east corner. Shoot the white present in the
alcove and pick up a Star. Get down and go to the east and up some stairs. Kurtis
will follow you and stand in front of a door that needs a key. Go north to the
right of the wreath and push open the doors. Enter the room and get flares from
beside the bed. Exit and push open the doors in the south wall. Enter the room
and go to the left. A man is lying on the floor as he has had too much to
drink. He, and not Kurtis, is doing the sleeping and
snoring sounds. (Now, that is funny.) Pull his body back and pick up a Marble Tile.
Go back downstairs and go to the south-west corner to
push open a door. Follow down the ramps to a room with six sloped openings.
Stand jump over the slope in the first opening to the west. Enter another
tunnel, and follow it to a closed door. Use the Cross and the door opens. Enter
and climb up a long ladder. At the top shimmy to the left and
go south. Combine the Scepter and Star to get the Star Scepter. Use it
in the gold stand and get a cut scene of an outside gate opening. If you look
out the window, you can se it. Get down the ladder, go through the tunnels and up the ramps back to the
room. Go outside and into the west door. Follow through the rooms to the other
outside area and find the open gate. Push open the
door and enter a room. Push open the door in the north wall. In the next room,
use the crowbar to open the west door and pick up the Tavern Key. Exit back to the room
with the fireplace.
Crawl onto some bookshelves and get into the back
south-west corner to pick up the Cellar Key. Go back outside and go south to the trap door in the floor. Get into
the hole and use the Cellar Key to open the gate in the west. Hop the blocks in
the north-west corner to find the Winding
Key. Exit back and go back to where you left Kurtis standing in front of a locked door.
Use the Tavern Key and the door opens. Enter the room
and look to the right to see a group of pedestals. Kurtis
will run past you and north into a corridor. Follow Kurtis
to see that he is standing in a room with a Christmas tree. Leave him there and
go back to the pedestals. Use the nine ravens on the pedestals and gates open
in the south wall. The use of the ravens seems to be order specific as I had
trouble placing some of them. If it is order specific this order worked for me.

Go south and follow the tunnel to enter a large room
with a Christmas tree. Go to the back and down the stairs into the room. On the
west wall is written the password for the bonus.zip file. In the author's
readme file, she asked not to give out the password so I will not.
Back up the stairs and into the north corridor to get
back to Kurtis. Shoot the lion head on the south wall
over the bed and then go to the north-east corner to get a large medipack. Shoot out all the north wall windows. Get outside and go north into a
tunnel. At the end, use the Marble Tile to open the large gate. Enter the room
and Kurtis appears behind you.
Go to the east wall and stand on a fancy tile near a
crawl space. Turn and shoot the lion head high over the gate on the west wall.
Combine the Toy Car and Winding Key and use it on the tile. Wait a little and
then go south to see that a door has open. Enter and pick up the car just in
case. Hop on the south block and pull down a ceiling trap door. Pull up onto a
balcony. Jump west to a small balcony. Go into a left opening and use the
crowbar to open a door. Enter and fall into a hole. Press a white pushbutton and
hear a gate opening. Exit to the small balcony and jump into an opening below
you to the south-east.
Enter the room and go to the east wall. Notice a cage
in the south-east corner. Finally you get a chance to use the three gears from
the second level. Each time you place a gear there is a loud noise. When
finished, the cage in the south-east corner is gone. I assume each loud noise
removed a cage someplace. Get outside and jump to the hanging platform. Turn
east and jump to grab a ledge. Pull up onto another balcony. Pull the switch in
the south-east corner by the stair railings. Get to the hanging platform and
safety drop to the ground floor. You may see Kurtis
has gone up the stairs and is trying to run through a closed gate.
Go to the north-east corner and climb the wall ladder.
Enter a bedroom and Lara looks to a torch on the right side. Use the Toy Car
just in front of the door and wait while it opens. It is not obvious from this
side but you can look over the bed and see a fancy tile on the other side. Pick
up the torch and get down to the ground floor. Go up the stairs where Kurtis is waiting and light the torch on the wall torch on
the south wall. Go down the stairs and hop the block in the south-east corner.
Then hop into the room with the gears. Go to the south-east corner where the
cage dropped and carefully light the floor in the alcove. You get a cut scene
of the gears moving. Exit the room and see that Kurtis
has left. Drop down and go up the stairs. Go through the open gate and run up
the ramp. As you get near Kurtis, the level ends.
