The Sewers

Jump over the balustrades to the opening in the NW corner, shoot the bat, pick up the shotgun shells and the small medipack and drop down through the hole in the corner. At the bottom of the room shoot the gorilla and the croc, jump into the water and explore the bottom of the pool to find a small medipack and shotgun shells; surface and go to the very NW corner of this area to see a crack in the wall, grab it, shimmy right, pull up and follow the dark passage to find a dead end. Locate the movable block in the right hand wall and push it several times until you can't move it anymore, pull a second movable block to your left three times, jump to grab the ledge above and go through the passage that this block hid to find the SECRET #1: the Shotgun and 2 X shotgun shells after time a running jump to avoid the spiked pit and the teeth doors. Now go back to the previous corridor, advance N and go up the W passage you ignored before, shoot the bat, jump over the spikes and to get extra items run off the edge with grab in a NE direction to land onto a ledge with shotgun shells, a small medipack and a bat; finally drop down into the water below.

 

To the Main Chamber

In this underwater area locate an opening in the S wall and swim through, go right to find shotgun shells and in the opposite side a small medipack and an underwater lever to pull, exit to get some air and locate the open trapdoor behind the central opening in the N wall; swim up, surface, pick up 2 X shotgun shells, go to the other side, shoot a rat, time the teeth doors and climb the opening to your left to find a wall switch which opens a door in the main underwater area; go back there and look for the open door in the W wall. At the end of the winding path you can get out of the water, shoot two lions and two gorillas and explore this area to find 2 X small medipacks and shotgun shells.

 

First Switch

Now jump into the small pool in the NE corner and swim through the hole to find an underwater lever, pull it to raise a nearby cage and get access to a wall switch; get out of the water and pull that switch to open an underwater door; quickly (it's timed) go to the N pool with the croc and the shotgun shells and swim through the underwater passage avoiding the darts and the teeth doors (pick up shotgun shells and a small medipack on your way) to finally surface in a room with a croc, pick up the shotgun shells in one of the corners and pull the wall switch to get a camera shot of a closed door in the main room; also the grate at your back raises so you can go back to the main room.

 

Second Switch

Once in the main room you'll be greeted by a croc and several rats; shoot them and go to the water channels next to the E wall, locate the hole in the floor near the pillar and swim through another underwater passage, pull the underwater lever, this time to raise the cage in the SE pillar of the main room; go back there, pull the timed switch to open the nearby door in the S wall and run there before it closes. Shoot the bat, pick up the shotgun shells, jump into the water hole and in the next room shoot the bat and the gorilla, jump into the N water hole, pull the lever, go back, jump over the E balustrade, pick up the uzi clips and swim through the opening in the floor (not to the very end of the passage, but to an air hole at middle way) to a room with a gorilla and two bats. Pick up the shotgun shells in the NE corner and pull the wall switch in the NW corner to open a door at the other side of the S pool with the croc, take a running jump to get there, pull another switch and this time see how the door opens in the main room. A door opened in the nearby pool too, so jump into the water, follow the passage avoiding the darts, advance, shoot the bat, pick up the small medipack, the uzi clips and pull the movable block out and aside to find yourself back in the main room.

 

The Upper Chamber Gate Key

Shoot the lion, the gorilla and look for the open door between the statues in the W wall; enter and in the next room shoot a gorilla, climb either pillar in the NW or SW corners and take an angled standing jump to grab the edge of the high W ledge, pull up, go left, note the big opening to your right (for later) and take a running jump S to get shotgun shells if you want; anyway go to the very E side (note the keyhole), jump into any water hole and pull the underwater lever to raise a door somewhere. Go back to the previous ledges and this time go through the N opening you ignored earlier, go either opening left or right, shoot the bat and the gorilla and locate the open door; drop to the bottom of the waterfalls and swim until you can surface, climb the block and pick up the Upper Chamber Gate Key. The nearby door opens, so exit, shoot the lion, climb the upper ledges, shoot another lion, a gorilla and go to the E side where the keyhole is.

 

Room with Balconies

Use the key to raise the door, go right and run and jump until you can reach the ledges in the center of the room. Move yourself to the balconies in the S side of the room and when you are in front of the hexagonal opening advance S picking up shotgun shells in one of the niches to your left and in the next room shoot a bat, a lion and a gorilla; there are three breakable tiles in the floor, two of them are spike traps, but another one hides a large medipack and uzi clips. Go around the passage in the E wall (note the closed door (*) with the switch) and the doors in the W wall raise, releasing two lions; go to the passage they came from, shoot the bats and run over the breakable tiles to discover an underwater passage, swim there avoiding the darts, pull the underwater lever, swim back to the main area and go again to the E passage where the door (*) is now open, pull the switch, go outside and locate the open door in the S side of the room.

 

Advance and take either passage left or right, shoot the lion, climb the opening with the teeth doors, time both and continue to find yourself on the upper ledges of the previous room. Shoot the bat and use the lateral ledges and the central pillars to cross to the N side, pick up the shotgun shells on your way and in the next room shoot the rats and the gorillas, locate the movable block in the NE corner and pull it out and aside to reveal a switch and open the exit door. In the next corridor try to avoid the darts and the swinging blades, pull the switch at the end and go back to the room with the balconies. Drop down and exit S to find the open trapdoor; take a deep breath and swim to the end of the passage to pull an underwater lever, swim back to the room with the balconies picking up a large medipack on your way, hidden under a plant and this time exit N.

 

The Earthquake

In the main room drop down and exit W through the opening between the statues; locate the open door at the back of the room (lower ledge). Drop down through the hole and in the room below pick up shotgun shells next to the skeleton, jump into the water and in the next underwater cave look for shotgun shells in the SW corner, swim through the hole in the ceiling near the NE corner, surface, go W, shoot the gorilla and to get the next secret go W to a ledge overlooking the platform with the skeleton, take a running jump to a flatter part of the rocks in the right side of the waterfall and a last running jump to an opening in the very SW corner partially covered with greenery, advance to get the SECRET #2: a large medipack and shotgun shells. Make your way to go back to the place where you shot the last gorilla and this time exit E, go right, shoot the bat and pull the movable block once to cause an earthquake and release a lion; also the door in the corner raised, so continue jumping over the spiked pits and avoiding the rolling boulders; the next door raises as you approach. Continue up the ramps shooting bats and a gorilla, avoiding more rolling boulders until you find a hole, drop down into the main room, get out of the pool and again exit W through the opening between the statues: the earthquake has made changes in this room.

 

Going Up

Turn left, take a standing jump to grab the crack, shimmy right, drop/slide/jump to grab the next block and from the corner take a running jump to the flatter parts of the SW corner; from here take a long running jump to grab the right side of the E block (tricky) and continue running/jumping clockwise around the room until you reach the top of the room; use the ledges attached to the central pillars to cross to the other side; advance to find yourself on a ledge at the very top of the main room.

 

The Uzis

Go left and take running jumps from ledge to ledge to cross to the very E side. To get an important item, when you are on the ledge with the black circles in the wall, standing next to the second black circle, situate Lara in the center of the ledge facing N-NE, now run off diagonally the ledge with grab to land on the balcony below and get the Uzis (a secret???). Unfortunately you'll need to drop down and follow the same route repeating all the movements to get back to the very top of the room, on the ledge with two black circles.

 

The Way to the Complex

Anyway, from the end of this ledge take a running jump with grab to the opening in the NE corner, advance, shoot the croc and the rats, climb the ledge with the movable block, shoot the gorilla and move the block twice to the W so you can climb to the top of the waterfall; pull up, slide down a long way to fall into a pool. In front of you there's a long underwater passage, swim S timing a swinging blade and when you find a hole in the floor swim down to find an underwater lever, pull it, swim up to the main passage and continue swimming S until a strong current takes you to...

 

The Sewer Complex Key

Don't get out of the water, but face S and swim through the opening under the waterfall (near the floor); at the end of the passage, surface and jump into the watery trench; swim W a short way, get out of the water in front of a closed door, turn around, look up and jump to grab the ledge above; a bit further you can drop in the middle section of this area, shoot the rats and finally pick up the Sewer Complex Key. Climb again and go back to the W section of this area: the door is now open; follow the corridor to find yourself back in the starting room of this adventure.

 

Waterfalls Room

Open the N door with the key, shoot the lion, run over the breakable tiles and the gate will raise automatically; shoot the crocs in the water channel and some bats roaming around; from the entrance, go left and to the right side of the waterfall to find a switch, pull it to open an underwater trapdoor just in front of the waterfall to your left; swim there and to the end of the underwater passage avoiding a croc to pull an underwater lever. Swim back to the main area and go to the very NW corner to find a second switch, pull it to open another trapdoor under the waterfall in the SW corner, go there, swim through and pull a second underwater lever at the end to lower trapdoors somewhere. Swim back, get out of the water and go N, jump into any of the water trenches under the waterfalls to find the open trapdoors. At the end of the underwater passage get out of the water and shoot the lion and the bats, note the W closed gates (**), take a curved running jump to grab the S ledge and continue climbing ledges S and N shooting some bats until you find a narrow corridor with a breakable tile and a wall switch at the end; shoot the bat and the lion, pull the switch to open the double gates (**) and go back the way you came to that ledge.

 

Traps Rooms

Shoot another lion, advance to what it seems to be a dead end and locate the movable block attached to the N wall, pull it out and aside, shoot the rat, jump into the water channel and follow the path to pull a switch, quickly turn left and run and jump down the corridor, jump over the open trapdoors and when the danger is gone drop down, pull the switch to raise the next gate and save your game before timing the rolling boulders to cross to the N side of this room because the breakable tiles and the falling blocks on your way (I needed to roll when reaching the N gate to avoid the last falling block). Don't fall asleep 'cause the danger continues (more breakable tiles), run/jump through the next passage around the corners (not very difficult) until you reach a safe room.

 

The Tome of the Dragon King

Here Lara will look to the ceiling, pick up the small medipack to your right and go up the stairs behind the statue to pick up the Tome of the Dragon King. Examine it to know more about the history of this adventure (5 pages) and note that the trapdoors in the corners behind the balustrades are now open. If you go down the steps the centaur statue turns to live (your choice now, but you'll need to shoot it later anyway); shoot it, go up W and jump over the balustrades left or right to jump into the water and pull an underwater lever. Back to the previous room, see that the S door is now open, slide and jump over the spiked pit, drop through the next hole, swim S, pull the underwater lever in the right side to open the final door, continue S timing the big teeth doors and swim straight ahead to finish this good adventure.

 

[Final note]: In this level, I was only able to find two secrets, although I have the impression that, as in the previous level by this author, there should have been three. In this sense, I think the Uzis, given how well hidden they were and how difficult their access was, they could have been the third secret; perhaps the author thought the players should get them first and added the corresponding trigger in the room before creating the flipmap. Later, once the flipmap was created, perhaps he forgot to include the secret trigger, or perhaps he didn't expect the players to be able to get it the way I did... I don't know... [End note]
