A follow-up to my previous level (The Lost Tomb).
The story so far...
Upon reading the inscription on the Ankh she found from her previous adventure, Lara discovered the resting place of the fabled Dragon King. He was known to be a cruel and unjust leader, harbouring all knowledge to himself and frequently having his scribes executed once they had finished writing his own books. After a period of injustice and accusations of misusing mythical powers brought by the Dagger of Xian, he was ousted by his own people and the dagger stolen from him, locked away in his own vaults.
Powerless and without an heir, he retreated from his palace in ancient China and travelled the lands as a drifter and outcast, until he came across an old decrepit dungeon he could spend his twilight years and continue to write his own books that contained his knowledge of the mystic arts. As time passed, he devolved into madness and began using his knowledge to build intricate traps to keep those who would attempt to steal the little he had left - his knowledge. |
