Reviewer's comments |
"A level with the appropriate duration , there are only 3
types of enemies in this one : bats , big spiders , and
biped mutants. Too many crawlspaces and small mazes mainly
underwater and you can hear wrong sfx sounds when swimming.
Lighting is vastly absent , the level is not always easy on
the eyes given the white textures and the brightness of
many rooms. Things are getting a bit more interesting once
you get the snow squad, and the last section also with at
least a few series of jumps and traps." - eRIC (01-Jun-2019) |

"There is a story but I couldn’t find much of it in the level. Most of the time I am the one complaining about dark levels but not so much in here. Especially in the rooms where there is ice and snow (I almost needed my sunglasses it was that bright). For some of the other rooms you do need flares and you’ll find them so not to worry. The contrast is quite big though. Mazes; yes plural and sorry to say, they are boring. Try to play around a bit more with the lighting to get more of an atmosphere (easier said than done, I know). Textures could use more attention and as for enemies, well a bit overdone to get four of them in a small room, but what the heck." - Gerty (30-May-2019) |

"I didn't get as infuriated as Ian apparently did while playing
this level. In fact, I don't recall becoming even mildly
irritated, and maybe that's because I had José's walkthrough
close at hand and was able to anticipate the problem areas
(and backtracking) before having to endure them. It's dark in
places, but only temporarily, and ample flares are provided.
Ditto for weapons and ammunition to deal with the enemies, the
most formidable of which were giant spiders and retextured
tinmen. I spent just over an hour here, so you get more than
enough gameplay for your money. The surroundings are rather
colorful but crude throughout, and the secrets were laughably
easy to locate. The level won't win any prizes, but I wouldn't
consider it a waste of time by any means." - Phil (21-Mar-2019) |

"I presume it's an earlier project which was released later than the author's more advanced work, because even with good ideas included it just feels too random, also you can softlock in many places and the lighting almost doesn't exist compared to what LionGirl has showcased before. However there is a moment where this level gets suddenly much better, so it might be a sign of hidden spark which might shine one day." - DJ Full (10-Mar-2019) |

"Not badly constructed but the gameplay
doesn't really have an exciting spark to
it. The action is relatively fast paced
and simple, but the numerous crawlspaces
and bouts of backtracking got wearying
after a while, and the rooms were overall
rather bland looking. The enemies
certainly added a frisson to the
proceedings and the secrets weren't too
badly placed, also the quad bike ride was
nicely done, but it doesn't quite come
together as a whole." - Ryan (19-Feb-2019) |

"Great, I thought when this level started, a nice light ambience so I'll be able to see - that didn't last too long before a gloomy maze appeared. Actually, to be fair, the dark areas are in the minority and flares are provided at appropriate moments. There are mutants and (shudder) giant spiders aplenty lurking around so you'll need to be nippy on your toes. Largely exploration based, with a little platforming, swimming, a definite overdose of crawlspaces and a short but enjoyable snowmobile ride." - Jay (10-Feb-2019) |

"Not many complicated mazes in here, but many parts where you have to crawl and swim, making progression very slow in here. The gameplay is not so good this time; there are a few traps and jump sequences, but all are very predictable, and there are almost no puzzles except of finding the ball to shoot with the revolver. All in all it was not so interesting to play this level. A few fitting decorative items and enemies have been added, but after some time the set mostly returns to the standard Egyptian set which does not fit the surroundings at all. The seven secrets I found registered this time; at least an improvement in this regard. The rooms are not badly designed with okay texturing and (if sometimes oddly dark) lighting, but the atmosphere feels a bit flat and lifeless and there is no real structure to the rooms, they feel like just placed and built one after another without any logical connection. To the builder - please improve further and especially add some more diverse and less tedious gameplay so that players can enjoy your level, before releasing the next one. Finished in 30 minutes." - manarch2 (09-Feb-2019) |

"Of course, there are some defects to fix like the ilegal slopes, the paper walls or the wrong UW sound when Lara swims; the gameplay is not very good too without puzzles to solve, but on the other hand there is no backtracking, even with shortcuts sometimes and the tasks are not hard, including several rides with the quad. I missed a lot more cameras and musics to create atmosphere and more objects here and there to ornate the rooms, but it's the style from this author. At least the rooms are reasonably well textured, and the 7 secrets are easy to find. I think this level required a good betatesting before the releasing, but it's playable anyway." - Jose (08-Feb-2019) |

"Dark mazes;underwater mazes;long crawls;large empty
rectangular rooms;messed up sounds underwater;no puzzles.
So,what positives can I give? Well the textures,if somewhat
uninspired,were reasonably well applied;the enemies,if
somewhat uninspired,were copiously placed;and the
secrets,if somewhat uninspired,were plentiful.
'Uninspired' is also a definition which applies to the
gameplay as a whole - and indeed admirably sums up the
level itself. I really wish that I could find actual
positives;but I regret that I'm going to have to leave
those for other reviewers to write about." - Orbit Dream (06-Feb-2019) |
