"Bugs/Functionality Issues
- After the Wagon level, the level jump causes a crash. This can be fixed by downloading the Italian version and loading your save there. You can switch back after finishing the following level. (Thanks to kapil4417037 for posting this information)
What I Disliked
- The inventory keeps resetting itself at seemingly random times, stripping Lara of her weapons and medpacks, often at times where those missing items would be most helpful.
- One of the times Lara loses her medpacks is at the start of a level in which she starts poisoned, which causes for a mad dash to find the next medpack. While I appreciate the adrenaline rush, this can be a frustrating experience between the enemies sapping Lara's health and the poisoned screen effect making it hard to see what's happening.
- Some switches randomly kill Lara on the spot.
- The same wall that can be shattered in some places cannot be shattered in others.
- In KGS headquarters, a switch closes a nearby door, but the game doesn't tell you that it also opens another door - on top of this, it turns out Lara can approach the closed door to make it open itself, not something I would have guessed on my own.
- Tunnel has a red herring route with a bunch of turrets in which you place mines. Turns out you don't need to go that way and you can just stick to the right side which has less turrets.
- Some levels are almost exact copies of other levels, so things can feel a bit repetitive.
What I Am Neutral About
- The texturing and objects lend themselves to creating different kinds of environments, but the textures suffer from high amounts of wallpapering, stretching, and blurriness.
- In the beginning, the turrets act as interesting obstacles which the player can destroy with a clever approach. But once Lara loses the lasersight, they just become nuissances that suck up her health.
What I Liked
- Some levels act as puzzles, in which you have to figure out which switches to pull in which order to progress.
- There are a couple of timed runs to test Lara's agility.
- Plenty of enemies will provide shootouts for Lara and her rotating arsenal of weapons.

"This multi-part release has its moments, but the surroundings are crude and not very eye-
pleasing, and there's at least one technical flaw (noted in the written walk) that becomes a
game-stopper if you're playing a more recent release. To date this game has been updated a
whopping eight times with no end in sight, and it's a prime example of why custom levels
should be thoroughly tested before being released for the first time, especially levels that
bear all the earmarks of a beginning builder. That being said, I like the idea of splitting
a game up into many bite-sized chunks, and in this case the builder has given us a wide
variety of looks. It took me about two hours to play all 15 mini-levels, and while there are
enemies galore I never found myself in danger of running out of ammo. There are no secrets
to be found, but that's also okay with me. Moreover, lighting is fine throughout, so the
lack of flare pickups didn't bother me in the least. I'm rather surprised at DJ's relatively
high scores, as he typically approaches custom levels with a more critical eye. Not a barn
burner, but not a time waster either." - Phil (24-Jun-2025) |

"Bit unsure about this one, actually. It
seems to have a certain storyline (albeit
rather loosely connected via in-game FMVs),
a nice variety of locations and a certain
charm to it. However, the execution could
have done with some more fine-tuning. The
textures are crudely applied, the looping
music tracks are wearying and the gameplay
never reaches any great heights. Aside from
a couple of neat touches (mainly involving
blowing holes in nearby buildings), you'll
mainly be running around long distances
shooting guards and pulling levers while
dodging the obligatory lava(?) and laser
trap. No puzzles as such and most of the
levels are only tidbits, so I never felt
truly immersed in the game. The enemy
attacks also got repetitive quickly, as they
tended to gang up on Lara in tiresome
hordes, with little supplies available. A
very mixed bag, but you might like it more
than I did." - Ryan (24-Jun-2025) |

"Such format, scope and scenario
belongs in the Hall of Fame -
all in all it's the only custom
game like that. It manages to
get enjoyable despite of
notorious errors, so play it if
you don't mind. Still, I would
seriously update it to match
the standard (if we even have
any). Sloppy but recommended." - DJ Full (11-Jun-2025) |
