Reviewer's comments |
"What first attracted me to this level was the pictures, the location just looked to die for and ii was! Well at least for me.
A warm early evening setting in a coastal sailor village with sunshine and bright colours certainly makes an appealing
environment to explore in its only a shame the gameplay didn't quite match the aesthetics. Tasks starts off and continue
with climbing and platforming up buildings, balcony's and rooftops followed by item and lever finding before some
interaction and quirky fetch quests with some of the locals. Later on finally there is a timed run and a trap room with
toxic sand and deadly fire which were both welcome indeed but I missed more of these elements or even some puzzles
and combat (the latter maybe to be expected since this is a Easter level) Overall I certainly had fun here in this lovely
little level I only wish it was longer and had more varied fun tasks and action." - John (17-Jun-2024) |

"an absolutely nice pirate level with an awesome atmosphere, cool characters and a beautiful leveldesign, a little masterpice in my opinion" - Raider278 (07-May-2024) |

"Talos is one of those builders who treads their own path;has a clear and vivid personality which
shines through;and is not afraid to aim for something a little different. It does, however, mean
that scoring a level such as this is a little tricky - there are no enemies and no secrets, for
example;and Gameplay follows the style of a 'Fetch Quest',and often involves somewhat esoteric
(although not downright unfair, provided you ponder a little) interactions. The scenario is
delightful, and brimming with imaginative and humorous little quirks (Donna Summer;getting a Pirate
drunk;and the little subway train that rushes through this tiny Greek island,on its way to
nowhere). The construction is skilled, imaginative, and involved a lot of hard work;with the neatly
designed playing area being compact enough to be easily explored while still providing plenty of
opportunities for the necessary quests. Texturing is colourful, as is the lighting;and the use of
objects, entertaining. There really was no excuse for the numerous 'sticky' slopes, though;nor the
climbable wall that wasn't indicated as such (even though all the others were). My playing time of
75 minutes was,as usual,a great deal more protracted than most other reviewers; but I enjoyed it
nonetheless." - Orbit Dream (14-Aug-2021) |

"I find myself scoring Talos' levels very similarly because the keep following a very
similar method of design - they tell a story (in this case a small treasure hunt), they
have interactions with static characters to guide you through, they require a lot of
back and forth between places, but usually distances a short enough to not make it too
painful and they are quite short (in this case about 30 mins) and offer no secrets.
Although it was sometimes a bit of a secret to me what to do with the many objects you
find and where to use and place them and they did cause an odd variety of things to
happen (keys magically appear, doors and windows magically open in strange places etc.
There is one timed run that is very easy and other than that not much challenge to be
dealt with, so it remains an atmospheric little seasonal offering, certainly worth a
quick look." - MichaelP (12-Aug-2021) |

"A very beautiful level with a great ambience. Some very
tricky areas here as in the lack of clues but over all really
pleasing to the eye. No enemies and some lovely pirates." - High Priestess (16-Nov-2018) |

"Explore this small village to find the treasure map. No enemies to shoot or secrets to find, no puzzles to solve; the gameplay is not very fluid 'cause the new objects difficult to figure out where to use, sometimes in obvious places though, like the cannonball or the letter. Nice environments, good use of musics and flybys, some cameras to help, and a surprising final cutscene. Even when the fist and last levels are too short, I think you'll enjoy this small adventure. Good work." - Jose (30-Jul-2018) |

"I remember well this custom level divided in 3 parts: short-long-short level, all relaxing and setted in the summer season (it's very hot here so I suggest you to play it with an AC)... I enjoyed the whole adventure and it's not challenging, keeping you in a pleasant adventure through the beach, streets and the entire island of Louloudaki (=floret in English, fiorellino in Italian and so on). A big step up for the author that her levels give always more beautiful and delicate emotions." - AlexCroft (29-May-2018) |

"A rare case when I enjoy a retextured map because it has a completely different feeling and a lot of extra stuff. There could be some secrets and I would apply less static cameras since they're naturally distracting, but the only really nasty issue is the tile triangle errors. The rest is a relaxing and immersing treasure hunt, and of course I love it everytime I see any NPCs appear. Hot stuff, recommended." - DJ Full (11-May-2018) |

"Well, I like Talos' games, and this one is typical: funny
characters that talk to Lara, a few unexpected, charming
actions (I enjoyed the Donna Summers touch), creative
sequences, nothing very difficult or frustrating,
straightforward from beginning to end, with sufficient
camera hints. Play it!" - Josey (29-Apr-2018) |

"This is another charming and well made
level from this prolific builder. It made
a nice change to see the Back to Basics
Greece assets in a custom level as we so
rarely see those and the scenic
appointments are a treat to look at.
There's no enemies and no real thinking
puzzles as such, so the pleasure comes
from exploring this exotic seaside town,
locating the necessary custom objects and
putting them to good use. Recommended for
a pleasant change of pace." - Ryan (22-Apr-2018) |

"I always enjoy playing levels by Talos, especially since my
antivirus program no longer rejects her patched executables
out of hand. They're always bright, cheery and easy on the
eyes, and they frequently demand out-of-the-box thinking. You
get here a main level sandwiched between two brief segments,
but all take place in the same general area. There's a little
more backtracking than I like, but the game map is so compact
that this causes little waste of time. There are no enemies as
such, but you do need to shoot a few things as you progress.
The quaint village in broad daylight was a delight to explore,
and I spent more time than I normally would have because I was
writing a walkthrough along the way. A recommended diversion
from the more intense and enemy-laden levels." - Phil (14-Apr-2018) |

"Lovely environment in this quick adventure but I got kinda
confused with all the needed puzzle pieces and where to use
them. The three levels were a bit too short but that is
okay because the tasks were focused mostly on finding
items, not solving hard puzzles - it just gets kinda
repetitive at times. The design was kinda weird but
original. A few more camera hints here and there could've
been useful. Not Talos' best level but still recommended." - misho98 (01-Apr-2018) |

"Louloudakis Island
7/8/9/9
A charming and creative level that puts the Back to Basics Greece textures to good use and would indeed have made a worthy entry in that competition. Lara's hanging out with pirates again on a beautiful Greek island, in search of treasure. As befits an Easter Time level, it's peaceful so you can take your time admiring the scenery and stroking some of the many resident cats as you explore everywhere in your search for fascinating objects and interact with colourful characters." - Jay (01-Apr-2018) |

"It may be Alzheimer (knock on wood) but I can only remember
two parts, not three (or maybe, since I played this level
on and off, I just connected the first two and the third in
my mind, the Beach being just a short epilogue). The
environments were nice, the kind that you'd expect from
Talos, pirates, Greece and all and I was glad to see she
corrected some animations from her previous game just like
she'd already corrected making cut scenes too long, so
that's all very well done and shows somebody who listens.
All in all, it's basically a peaceful and colourful find-
them-all adventure with some interesting touches (the room
with the burning sand, for instance) but also quite
confusing at times. Yeah, I was lost half of the time.
Still, I rather enjoyed Louloudaki Island and recommend it
to all." - Jorge22 (01-Apr-2018) |

"A sweet level trio that despite of a relatively short length manages to convey a storyline with several flybies and conversations (which are more like monologues, but anyway). A beautiful coastal setting is explored with quite decent texturing and lighting, mainly good usage of objects (some are slightly misplaced) and nice audios and cameras. The gameplay is at least slightly varied with a timed run, a tiny platforming sequence and much exploration for items and levers, but there are no puzzles to solve and the only challenge lies in finding all necessary keys and their receptacles. I was not really a fan of those unmarked ladders either but they were no large deal. Sadly, there are no secrets to find either, which would've added something to the experience, but the final cutscene is rather rewarding. 20 minutes." - manarch2 (29-Mar-2018) |

"Another cute themed level done by Talos! The atmosphere was
beautiful. There was so much color everywhere! There wasn't
really any puzzles or enemies, but there was a part that
involved a tricky jump. Some things were tricky to find. I
think this level is a good Easter themed one." - Victoria (28-Mar-2018) |
