Reviewer's comments |
"Alright - extra points for the really creative idea with the special present for his Bro.
That one saves this level from being just another small Lara Home exploration session, with
a few keys to find and use and a torch gets added here as well. It is all over in about 20
minutes, so definitely worth a quick look for the ending alone." - MichaelP (12-Jan-2024) |

"Cute and warm holiday setting. I like how the house is more compact than usual as you don't waste time exploring the same corridors for yet another time. A very short but very pIerrfect level for Xmas season." - DJ Full (21-Nov-2023) |

"The gameplay is average at best, the mansion could be more detailed and the music selection is pale, yet
this level is special, just because you are playing Pierre and not Lara. If you make it to the end of the level
(don't worry, it's not hard and only takes a few minutes) you get to see what special gift Pierre got for his
bro Larson. The end sequence is really funny!" - vandit (27-Nov-2022) |

"Well ive played a lot of mansion levels now but this one i think will be one of my
most memorable ones because of 2 very good and original ideas put into this, the
first one being that you play as pierre not lara and your in his house that he
lovingly shares with what i assume now must be his boyfriend larson?! well judging by
the sweet pictures that you see around the house anyway! lol and the second original
idea was what was waiting for pierre in the freezer: lara! as a pushable object you
have to push under the xmas tree with voice clips and cutscene to accompany which was
absolutely fantastic it made me smile so much. when it comes to gameplay its quite
basic stuff with collecting keys and moving objects, using torches etc but some
difficulty has been added here with some fun platforming puzzles in order to reach
some tricky places to get to. the setting is familiar to tr2/tr3 mansion in many
ways when it comes to some rooms and textures but there is new areas in these rooms
which make it more interesting and fresh. the lighting and textures give it such a
cozy and warm atmosphere feel to it, definitely a relaxed level vibe and the only
disappointing things was the lack of some camera clues, the lack of much music and
the length of level, i was having so much fun playing and exploring that i just wish
there was more to experience" - John (26-Jun-2021) |

"A truly heartwarming custom level I played at what I could describe as the worst time of
the year to play it, I mean it is nowhere near to Christmas, but still I felt like
picking it back and give it a try before writing a review.
The gameplay is simply enough running around a very reminiscent of TR1-3 Croft manor,
with extremely minor tasks and nothing too complicated to do, it is quite barebone but
it does not really annoy the player with some backtracking so I am still gonna give it a
6.
Different objects from different eras (classic, custom and HD) are clashed inside of the
level with a result much more positive than I was expecting, I usually am not a fan of
those but this was capable of looking pretty okay, the secret was surprisingly easy to
find, but also incredibly easy to miss, considering that I am unsure on the logic of it.
The atmosphere is what worked the best inside of the level, with some nice and warm
lighting in the wooden rooms and a much colder coloring of the concrete rooms, there
were few camera hints that were helpful, though there really were not many as actually
needed, music usage was very good.
Lighting as stated above was above average with some interesting tones, texturing on the
other hand felt a bit repetitive on some areas, but not excessively, still looking
surprisingly pretty to the eye.
Concluding this is a very easy raid which can be completed in 20-25 minutes and will
give for sure some fun time for all of those that really enjoy Larson and Pierre as
characters and their inevitable bromance. Really liked this, recommended. Wolfy Regards

"This is without a doubt the most funny level I have played so
far, it honestly had me laughing, Pierre and Larson are so a-d-
o-r-a-b-l-e, the pool with the two chairs and diving boards
made me feel like Lara's mansion was kinda lonely compared to
it. And when the freezer opened and Lara was there I was jaw-
drooped, I would've never imagined that, my god, and the ending
was very nice as well, I was a little worried about Lara after
all.
There weren't many puzzles, but the one in the basement where
Lara- I mean Pierre, has no animation to climb in there, the
builder used that to create a problem, right when I was giving
up about it, in my way out of the basement I noticed that I
just needed to move the box, where inside was a similar problem
too.
The thing that I didn't like about this level, was the lack of
telegraphing of what the button that I pressed did, when I
founded the Angel, when I opened the little passage in the
basement, and even when I founded Larson's picture in the
bathroom, none of those had any cameras to show me what the
button had done, and what door was open. Because of that I had
to re-explore the level lots of times, since the level isn't
too big, it wasn't so boring, and perhaps that was somewhat the
intention behind for this builder? Still, not a thing that I'm
very found of. When I had to pull Lara to the xmans tree I had
no idea where it had to be and even if it was by the xmas tree,
that too left me very lost.
It was a very short level, but I enjoyed my time playing it,
Pierre's model, sounds and edited animations were incredibly
adorable as well, I appreciate the effort that this builder put
into such things." - HaniHeger (29-Jul-2020) |

"I've wanted to play this level as soon as it went up but I was trying to focus on clearing up my previous raidlist. Four months later, I'm glad that I picked this up to play now instead of waiting for the holiday season again as this brought me such a massive smile to my face in these dark times we're living in - absolutely nothing could have prepared me for the perfect present Pierre had in store for Larson (who of course had to go and ruin the moment). The level in itself is pretty simple, revolving around a few key and button sequences so nothing too taxing for the player, plus it takes place completely inside a small manor so it's over all too quickly, but truly this tells the tale of a happy holiday of the OTP in the Tomb Raider series. The way the author has recycled speech tracks from TRC is also pretty clever. Definitely worth checking out. 20 minutes, 1 secret. 04/20" - Treeble (05-Apr-2020) |

"I think this short mansion level could be much better adding some more cameras and musics showing the players where to go and working a bit more the lighting. What happens when you light the candelabras? Where to place the Amgel? What the Angel does when placed? Where to place Lara? You always have to figure out where to go remembering the closed doors you left behind. The background music is not very appropriated too. Anyway this Christmas level has got some nice touches, like the way to access to the crawlspaces in the basement or the final cutscene, so it deserves to take a try anyway. Good luck." - Jose (27-Feb-2020) |

"A rather offbeat "Christmas" level. Any doubt as to the
relationship between these guys is dispelled by the portrait
staring you in the face as you begin the level, not to mention
several tee-hee moments along the way. The level itself is
rather short with no enemies or weapons in sight and the
surroundings are rather crude in comparison with other custom
levels out there. Even so, a few nice ideas are presented
here, such as using a low block to access a crawl space and
pulling down a disguised ceiling trap door to access another
crawl space. The intended designs of our dynamic duo on a
bound Lara (another kinky touch that makes the release
questionable for the Advent season, or any season in my
opinion) are not made clear, but the good wins out over the
bad in the end. Playable, but not at all my cup of tea." - Phil (12-Feb-2020) |

"Comical, quirky seasonal level. Pretty short, all things considered and not difficult. No guns and no combat, so it's suitable for kids as well. Some innovative pushable objects and pedestrian tasks. I thought the ending was funny. Got a good chuckle out of it and enjoyed my 20-30 minutes here." - Chel (02-Feb-2020) |

"G&P: not particulary innovative in term of gameplay, but well done anyway. I enjoyed the twist at the end. Some hints would have been appreciated.
E,O&S: No enemies, or secrets, but the objects were well used/placed. I just thought it was strange to have a horse statue in Larson's bedroom, but it's ok, he a cowboy, so a horse is understandable.
A,S&C: The atmosphere was great, I enjoyed the storyline, the twist at the end was very nice, I didn't expect such a gift, it was fun to discover it. Sounds were ok, but there was a serious lack of musics IMO. There are a lot of cameras that the builder could have add to show opening doors. Sometimes I didn't know what I achieved by using some items..
L&T: the lighting was perfect to me, textures were not that amazing, but well placed/used, so it was ok.
To sum up, this game was pretty calm and quite fun to play, I needed such a level to play, calm and easy. Thank you :)" - Lara_Fox_Croft (13-Jan-2020) |

"A level you have to play for the major twist(s) at the end. The 10 minutes before are agreeable raiding but not groundbreaking to say it mildly, with the typical exploration of the mansion. The various objects like the pictures and also the characters are giving this level a nice touch though. Visually I think this level is a bit too bland with rather simple architecture, too bright lighting. There is also a very obvious paper thin wall in the uppermost room. Not a great level but one that lives from its very special storyline." - manarch2 (11-Jan-2020) |

"It's tricky to actually rate this,as it's meant as little
more than a seasonal quirk, with a few creative gameplay
moments thrown in.The use of pushables (of all types!) was
innovative and creatively handled;while the usual Mansion
progression wasn't quite as tedious as expected, due to the
reduced size of the place. The level is well crafted in all
respects, and exhibits a fine sense of humour - especially
for the Finale. This builder (after unambitious beginnings)
has now established himself as a purveyor of short but
amusing,worthwhile levels.Looking forward to their next." - Orbit Dream (11-Jan-2020) |

"I'm here to inform you all that I'm LateRaider and I'm
the one who inspired MBog to make this. So, in the
immortal words of Willam Belli, "You're welcome."
Gameplay & Puzzles - 8/10. I liked these. They were nice
and simple, though I feel like the torch was
unnecessarily hard to find. I would've preferred it
placed on top of a brighter floor or maybe a camera angle
change so Pierre looks toward it. While a short level it
was well put together.
Enemies, Objects, & Secrets - 9/10. It's a nonviolent
manor level so enemies don't count, but I feel like the
objects make a lot of sense for the puzzles in the area.
Pierre's Christmas sweater is the cutest thing ever.
Atmosphere, Sound, & Cameras - 7/10. There's only one or
two music tracks that loop throughout the manor. But it's
a nice subtle one that doesn't get grating. I think I
would've liked a music cue once you get to Larson's room
and a different background song in the basement. The
footstep sound effects let me down a little; running
across carpet sounds the same as running across wood and
marble floor.
Lighting & Textures - 7/10. Good use of lighting and
great texture placement. It was on par with a usual Tomb
Raider level. Nothing looked out of place or obviously
"inserted."
Overall, I give this an objective 7/10. Average level and
great if you like Pierre and Larson. And I give it a
subjective 11/10 because I love Pierrson. Thank you so
much, MBog!" - TiredTeddybear (11-Jan-2020) |

"It certainly is a bit different to have a mansion level featuring Pierre (who really does look as though he's been spending waaaay too much time working out in the gym). This has a quirky charm about it that goes a long way towards making up for the somewhat less than spectacular looks of the whole thing. It's a rather sweet little Christmas level that has a lovely vein of humour running through it and the ending when Pierre's choice of Christmas gift for Larson is revealed, to rather disastrous effect, made me laugh out loud." - Jay (08-Jan-2020) |
 |
"A rather wholesome level, controlling Pierre is a nice
change of pace and while it isn't the most innovative take
on a mansion setting (a lot of rooms are very similar to
the OG manor levels) the level design is still pretty tight
all around with a rather straightforward progression, cozy
package for those looking for a short ride." - SeniorBlitz (07-Jan-2020) |
 |
"A charming albeit brief raid, somewhat in
the spirit of the season. It's certainly
pleasant, with some thought going into the
gameplay progression and the layout,
although some of the tasks are a bit on
the obscure side and the architecture
isn't at the highest level of inspiration.
The absence of camera hints was rather
annoying, but the level is short enough so
that you can easily go by process of
elimination. I did think that the ending
was rather tongue in cheek, though. See
for yourself." - Ryan (07-Jan-2020) |
 |
"A short Christmas level, boxy and perhaps somewhat
carelessly made. I thought there definitely was a lack of
cameras but since the space is small it's no big deal. I
found the ending funny and original - play it if you want
to see." - Jorge22 (06-Jan-2020) |
 |
"I really liked this level. It has Pierre on it for a change, in Christmas environment in what seems to be his manor. As such, there are no weapons available and therefore, no enemies.
Gameplay is always the same. Find a lever, a witch, open a door, grab an item, and so on and so forth. The pace is smoothly and every task is straightforward. There are, howver, lack of cameras sometimes, and with so many doors and spaces to be opened, this may be a little confusing.
I really enjoyed the ending, which, in my opinion, was really funny." - Gonxii (01-Jan-2020) |
